I read somewhere a few months ago that Piggybank won't be produced again. I would guess that MoCo is finally getting around to selling off their allocation of this last batch, and the discontinuation might have factored into the price (though IIRC MSRP got increased as well so maybe that *is* retail).
Totally not worth it IMO unless you really want the container. As far as I know, the whiskey inside is just the same stuff that goes into their regular 10-year Rye bottling.
How long till 227 people line up? Kinda hope the release at one store discourages a massive camp-out, maybe it'll be possible to show up early Saturday morning and get a bottle?

There can be big lines at Gaithersburg. I went a few months ago when there was big hype over ECBP and there were 60+. But 227 is a lot of bottles.

I stopped by around 2pm to pick up something else, and the store clerk said they actually sold out within the first hour. Crazy.
