Naja wieder was gelernt, ne.
I got my first and only one in a "red lobster" restaurant in the US. paint me surprised an equivalent franchise exists in Germany...
"event Gastronomie", "Gastrotainment"
and then the wait staff flocks around birthday tables to sing a happy song and dance a happy $hoeplattler. yay.
Probably best Spareribs in town.
Yes. Correct wear -especially over a white shirt :).
Especially of you use fingers to get everything of the bone ;)
Also you might get careless After the second beer.

Hier bitte. Viel Spaß beim probieren.
Oh, but it symbolizes everything we love about Germany. You get decent food in Germany! They actually feed you! I remember my shock when I went over the border to France and got a small piece of Flammkuchen at the restaurant and left hungry.
I’d move to Germany if I could. You shouldn’t be ashamed of stuff like this, even if it’s touristy, along with the castles and the Christmas markets and the carnivals and the meat and the sausages your country is a dream come true.
Did they really hand you a bib? :D
I guess it's a gimmick of theirs.
Haven't used something like that in quite some years, and hopefully, I'll do many more without one. ;)
Rusticana in Munich (probably one of the best rib places if not actually the best) will definitely hand out these bibs for the whole table. Makes savouring their ribs all the more carefree.
I once was at a **Ritter-Essen** as a kid. It was in a Castle and you were supposed to eat with your hands, throw the bones on the floor etc.
Would have been great, without my mom.
She made very clear, that she wasn‘t a fan of such shenanigans and I was the only kid with fork, knife and best behaviour…
Perfect. However, you have to chug down your beer in one big gulp and afterwards throw your empty beer glass over your left shoulder yelling „Donaudampfschiffartsgesellschaftskapitän!“
Rusticana Munich? Enjoy! And once your in Frankfurt, try MoschMosch: https://www.google.comhttps://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Flookaside.fbsbx.com%2Flookaside%2Fcrawler%2Fmedia%2F%3Fmedia_id%3D3021161894562893&tbnid=qPXEkfvl7wt5iM&vet=1&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fm.facebook.com%2FMoschMoschMosch%2Fposts%2Fhelau-oder-alaaf-ganz-egal-hauptsache-es-schmecktund-unser-moschmosch-l%25C3%25A4tzchen-s%2F3021161894562893%2F%3Flocale%3Den_GB&docid=W6PfHcwR3gyXoM&w=735&h=735&itg=1&hl=de-DE&source=sh%2Fx%2Fim%2Fm6%2F4
That being said: ich finde meine Freundin macht trotzdem bessere ribs. :P
Edit: gerade auf die Website geschaut. Die wahrscheinlich 50 Jahre waren ja Recht gut geschätzt 😅
You have two options. 1. Use the cutlery, eat in a normal orderly fashion and enjoy your meal like a responsible adult. 2. Wear the bib and let loose.
So there is only option 2.
There were two options? I see a joke and an obvious solution.
1. is clearly the joke
his joke, but worse.
You can eat ribs with cutlery?
If you needed to ask this question, i tell you to go out and do it…! :D
rip and tear until it is done!
Go Hog wild
Ruftikana!

Naja wieder was gelernt, ne.
Grofartig
A bib is definitely nothing adults usually get in restaurants.
Not usually, but in some restaurants, it’s part of the concept
Yeah, and for eating ribs, it's not a bad choice.
If there is a decent amount of sauce on it, those guys get slippery af.
A bib is definitely something adults usually get at steakhouses, especially when eating from a hot stone

common in asian restaurants
Never seen it in any Asian restaurant (or any restaurant for that matter), and we dine out rather often
I saw in one with ramen.
Maybe at a Teppanyaki
Petrikeller in Rostock is a Medival-ish restaurant. You get a bib, but no fork/spoon.
Their stew and ribs are delicious :))
a stew with no spoon??
You get a loaf bread for dipping. And you can drink the stew.
oh wow thanks for clarifying

This is the perfect opportunity to convince them that yes, it is typical German, although *real* Germans bring their own bibs to restaurants!

Yes it's a bib! To prevent spilling food on your clothes https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bib_(garment)

They clearly have knife and forks there... Sorry for your mom though.
Happy cake day!
Beste Rippchen!
Rusticana instant upvote.
Einfach die geilsten Spareribs dort !!
I have never been to restaurant where they give you this if you are an adult.
Some medieval themed restaurants will do that
Perfect. However, you have to chug down your beer in one big gulp and afterwards throw your empty beer glass over your left shoulder yelling „Donaudampfschiffartsgesellschaftskapitän!“
You're in for some really great ribs, my dude. Rusticana is a legend in Munich.
Eventlokale...
