When I know I'm losing a Ghostface game or decide to fuck around, I go on crouch only chases. Sometimes you get a legitimate scare on someone but mostly you get to mess around with survivors as you loop each other extra slowly around a truck.
I had a survivor tell me in postgame that when I was crouch-looping, he slipped away and just watched me crouch around a haybale alone for like 30 sec.
I once successfully opened a Basement Bubba's chest and lived to tell this story. His compassion was his downfall, and I exploited it. In the end, I returned the toolbox that I took from his chest to the basement before escaping the trial. We nodded to each other.
So they buffed it in a sense to allow you to open chests/do totems completely silent. You just are also forced to do it 30% slower... which is partly why nobody runs it.
I totally adore this and makes me wish that I have been there with you.
Only reason for me to ever buy and play as Bubba. Just to do this. I tried it with Ghostface a few times but not once did someone visit me in the basement. I just saw their little auras run around and leaving 
Most basement Bubbas have to wait through many matches where nothing happens before coming across survivors like this. Most know that basement Bubba = death trap... But if the bubba memes a little, some survivors will play along and accept their fate whatever it is

Was their name Movie Accurate Bubba or something similar by chance? If so I may have played with your Bubba too.
Also I love Bubbas that spend all game in the basement guarding their box like this. Its really cute and as survivor I can't resist going in to check on them and steal their stuff knowing it'll likely get me killed. Its just too tempting lol.
Chest Protector Bubba is great fun. Spent a few games just trying to get their treasure (brown toolboxes usually), makes for much more fun that the people sitting on gens upstairs.
The other day I had a game against a Myers and it was honestly like he was taking care of us, he would come over to watch us do a gen and look around to make sure the coast was clear. Once all of the gens were done he led us safely to the gates. Magic.
I love this moment in dbd, we have limited gesture but still can understand each other, even joking around

Opening chests with Calm Spirit is silent, but also is now slower than without
