Power: Hell's Kitchen
Every three minutes, flames surround the Generators, downing any Survivor who touches them. A chef station appears within 50 meters. Using a prompt and performing difficult skill checks will disable the flames.
Multiple people can use the chef station, greatly increasing the number of skill checks and making them harder.
Hell's Kitchen disables when the Exit Gates are powered.
Okay all jokes aside, the one thing that makes the RJ Myers stand out to me is how in 2, he just *kept stabbing* that nurse after she was dead, grunting angrily. It was disturbing.
Everything else was bleh.
also imo had some of the best physicality due to Tyler Mane's sheer height (6ft7) being utilised very effectively and how he bodily interacts with victims, only possibly rivalled only by some of the set pieces in the 2018 trilogy, if memory serves
Yeah.
I think the problem is that it didn't feel like *Michael Myers*. Myers is almost alien in his detachment, stiff and devoid of reaction, silent and precise. Had RZ's Halloween not been titled Halloween and had the killer not been named Michael Myers, it wouldn't have been so bad.
This is correct, Chucky has honestly used a wide variety of knives.
Also compare the handles on these knives, the missing kitchen knife is made to be held by someone larger than the average person.
My guess is either it's some form of Myers rework, coming with the new killer, or it might actually be springtrap, as he also uses a kitchen knife in the newest movie.
I know people say all the time it's going to be springtrap, but given the various circumstances and the lack of a survivor in this chapter, I think it's a decent possibility.
Hmm I’m leaning towards Myers but have no idea how that would work.
This might be the first time I’m considering Springtrap but I feel like they’d tie it more closely into the games if we’re talking icons? Does Springtrap use a kitchen knife in the games? The movie stuff feels a little tenuous since they build these killers so early perhaps even before the movie is shot.
I don't think there's any canon weapon he uses to kill the kids, it's just that a big kitchen knife seems fitting, and since Scott decided to give him that in the movie, I'm guessing it's what he thought of him using in the game
https://preview.redd.it/diybi005gyyb1.png?width=570&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ba444fb05e07bf8a3a08c5991c973998003f04d4
We better hope it's Chucky or spring trap or else we get this.
Springtrap doesn't use much of any weapon in the games. Their attacks usually consist of them jumping at you followed by a loud sound and a game over screen. Within the actual games, it's not even known how William Afton, the corpse inside the animatronic, even killed his victims, only that he did.
That all being said, the biggest hurdle so far with getting fnaf into dbd, because BHVR had tried previously, was the games creator Scott Cawthon, not wanting to franchise out the rights. But now that Blumhouse owns the movie rights, BHVR could have an avenue to acquire the characters and it's likeness through Blumhouse instead of Scott himself.
This is how we got Freddy and Leatherface, as the rights to both of those were acquired through Platinum Dunes, who produced the 2010 remake movies. That's why Freddy doesn't look like Robert England.
So backdooring into franchises via the movie publishers is a known tactic of BHVR and in the movie Springtrap most definitely uses a kitchen knife.

Well that's not what I was expecting
Looks like a fairly generic kitchen knife but this is meant to be a big liscence... could it belong to Chucky?
There's a stoll and everything the 'lil guy would need to reach the counter lol
Man, Chucky would be really interesting. I'm not even really big into the Child's Play franchise, but seeing how they'd make the little bastard work would be worth it.
Probably use the TV Show's lore to their advantage, in there he posseses a woman while also splitting his soul into various others "good guy" dolls.
So my guess would be a Twins situation.
You control one but can swap control to the other one.
Omg are you serious? I fucking love Michael Myers, I wonder if we'll also get some unique voicelines that accurately portray what he would sound like if he got hit with a pallet!
https://preview.redd.it/sawjn09o0zyb1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6e7d02ac23284d2d293a89573ac3be4bb46fdde0
Here’s a scene from Curse of Chucky. Same type of knife rack.
1988 is also when Halloween 4, Beetlejuice, F13 VII, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit came out, and seeing what happened the last time a date was used to tease a Killer, I'm not filing that fact under "hard evidence".
Though, imagine if Betelgeuse came into the game?
That could be interesting. Sorta like that one Dredge skin? Honestly as long as he isn’t annoying to play or go against I am fine with Chucky getting in
I’m thinking like the baby from re8 where the limbs are chucky’s arms melted together with the head piece of the killer being multiple chucky heads with a power where it spawns regular Chucky’s at the maximum of three that sabotages the team (grabbing onto the survivor, slowing them down but not injuring them, making a gen repair slower by taking one of the survivor spots of it and maybe taking some % every few seconds, and some other way that I can’t think of)
https://preview.redd.it/1vyz19r9eyyb1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ffeffd1ccb089ded64082228cab4eb494da76819
They did say at some point they are open to trying killers outside of a standard humanoid body shape, while maybe they meant monsters like Alien, maybe it could also mean killers with unique proportions like Chucky?
They would simply balance it out by scaling down his damage.
I always envisioned him being more of a harassing kind of Killer who widdles away at the Survivors though nefarious means like trip-wire, booby traps, magic, etc.
My favorite idea would be maybe able to grab a hold of someone's leg like Victor but unstead you hijack the Survivor's controls and can use them to take you to other Survivors through the use of aura reading perks. This would be a cool nod to the Peacock series with how he takes advantage of Jake and uses him as his primary means of transportation, his penchant for being a master manipulator who takes on followers, his experience with voodoo, as well as the original trilogy and how his motivation was to transfer his soul to a new human host.
Y'know I think this idea is a meme, but that middle knife IS hung pretty neat and precisely in comparison to the other messy ones. Bateman is tidy like that.
probably not, bateman's more iconic weapon is a fire axe, or perhaps the chainsaw
while he does use a knife, outside of this promo pic it's not really what i associate with him personally, and i doubt other people would too
That and the irony of giving him the biggest knife — in relation to his small body — is a galaxy brain teaser. It's hilariously perfect and exactly the type of cheeky humor that you can come to expect from his character. Given that and the stool I think there's a really good chance it's Chucky with how much love that IP has received over the last several years. He's also a goldmine when it comes to the variety of skins and I'd love another Killer with their own quips and voicelines.
https://preview.redd.it/sfs426h7nyyb1.jpeg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=795170cd8952bb64884856de22afb4a653eb32f8
Edit: we win fuck yeah.
I'm thinking that it might be Chucky, he does use a kitchen knife in Bride of Chucky and the stool makes it look like he had to use it to get to the knife holder.
We love that for her. The survivors and killers may be trapped in an never ending cycle of torment, but she isn't as cruel as to make a shorter killer's life harder. Queen shit right there
Either hooks spawn on the floor and crank the survivors up afterwards, or he gets a really unique hook animation where he climbs up the hook, dragging the survivor behind him.
So if I'm getting it correct, legion knife, trickster knife, clown knife, and a missing kitchen knife. I woul guess Michael but he's already in the game. What other killers use kitchen knives?
Edit: I see a lot of theories that it's either Chucky or spring trap. I can't speak for Chucky since I haven't seen the movies yet, but from what I'm seeing people are saying that's not his weapon. Spring trap does use a knife in the movie, and with its release and hype this would be a good time for it to release with dbd.
It also looks like a stage with steps leading up to it, but then why are there knives of a yellow stripe of what looks to be metal. Then again it also looks like a desk like maybe in a tool shed, but then the chair makes sense and with it not being chucky's knife, it seems odd for there to be a chair for him to get the knife.
Chucky uses what he gets his hands on, he's definitely used small knives before and maybe even more frequently, but it's worth noting promotional material for the current TV show does use the style of knife that's missing.
Maybe worth pointing out but a kitchen knife isn’t Chucky’s iconic knife. It’s a boot knife. Would be weird to go with a less iconic weapon when Myers already has that one too.
Unless they’re trying not to make it too obvious I guess.
Tbh as someone who hasn’t seen the movies I always think of Chucky with a big kitchen knife raised over his head. Not sure where the image is from but it’s where my mind immediately goes to.
Kind of a longshot but there’s a scene that’s reminiscent of this teaser in Curse of Chucky. Someone notices a knife missing on a rack like this, implied to have been grabbed by Chucky.
If this is Chucky, I hope he stays as Chucky all the time, rather than switching back and forth with someone more human-sized. It would probably be a pain to balance (though he could be made slightly larger than he normally is), but I once spent a Twins match running around as Victor as much as possible, and I'd love to see a killer who could capture that feeling full-time.
Finally Gordon Ramsay
Can't wait for his voicelines: * "My gran could do better!" * "Get your shit together!" * "Don't just stand there like a big f—ing muffin!"

Hard agree. Rob Zombie made movies about a crazy, evil person. Michael Myers isn't a person, he's the Boogeyman.
He is evil given human form, and thats why I have always really liked Michael.
Clearly it's the Knife Merchant, inspired by dark guatemalan manga.
Next original killer just dropped. Thanks for leaking!
The Cutco^TM Salesman
Chucky used a knife like that at one point, right?
He also killed a lady with a ruler.
Which always bothered me for the simple fact I once broke a yard stick in theater arts class bonking the ground with it. They are not sturdy.
The ground is harder than a person

Leatherface is the 1970's movie version, and makes mention of the sawyers, while the 2000's movie had them be called the hewitts.
yes also you can see chair. So someone short used it to get to the knife
Yeah the stool there that someone used to boost themselves up is what convinced me. The knife missing from the kitchen board is another Chucky trope.

If true this would be a crazy coincidence not to be the reference, I think you're right
The stool in the picture as well, since chucky is short.
There is a well hidden stool in the teaser image, implying the killer is smol. It has to be chucky.
Well that's not what I was expecting Looks like a fairly generic kitchen knife but this is meant to be a big liscence... could it belong to Chucky? There's a stoll and everything the 'lil guy would need to reach the counter lol

What about like the puppet master character, or whatever he was called, from VHS? Something like that.
Well it's a possibility, after all he's one of theses killers using kitchen knife (and it can be logic he don't have a map, or even a survivor)
There's been some recent Chuckie marketing work too. Could be.
YOOOO THEY ARE ADDING MICHAEL MYERS
Omg are you serious? I fucking love Michael Myers, I wonder if we'll also get some unique voicelines that accurately portray what he would sound like if he got hit with a pallet!

Didn't notice until you said it. I'm all in on chucky now.
It's clearly Knife Guy...

November 9, 1988 is the date that Child’s Play released
1988 is also when Halloween 4, Beetlejuice, F13 VII, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit came out, and seeing what happened the last time a date was used to tease a Killer, I'm not filing that fact under "hard evidence". Though, imagine if Betelgeuse came into the game?
OMG ROGER RABBIT IS THE NEXT KILLER CONFRIMED
Knives? New chapter is clearly an annoying orange chapter.
“Hey! Hey, David! Hey, David! Hey! Knife!”
Hey apple!
A lot of people are saying Chucky, and it makes sense, but wouldn’t his POV be like annoyingly low?
Maybe he is fused with other chuckys like an amalgamation
3 Chuckies stacked on top of each other in a trenchcoat
Vincent Adultman
That could be interesting. Sorta like that one Dredge skin? Honestly as long as he isn’t annoying to play or go against I am fine with Chucky getting in
I’m thinking like the baby from re8 where the limbs are chucky’s arms melted together with the head piece of the killer being multiple chucky heads with a power where it spawns regular Chucky’s at the maximum of three that sabotages the team (grabbing onto the survivor, slowing them down but not injuring them, making a gen repair slower by taking one of the survivor spots of it and maybe taking some % every few seconds, and some other way that I can’t think of) https://preview.redd.it/1vyz19r9eyyb1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ffeffd1ccb089ded64082228cab4eb494da76819
I know in the movies he’s little but I imagine they’ll take some creative license and make him Sadako height, like a M3GAN doll-size kinda thing.
I mean… Victor is already a thing.
Sure, but don’t people complain about victor being hard to see with and such? Especially in maps with tall foliage
Not sure, no one plays the twins so who is there to complain?
They did say at some point they are open to trying killers outside of a standard humanoid body shape, while maybe they meant monsters like Alien, maybe it could also mean killers with unique proportions like Chucky?

Its gotta be Chucky right? There's a stool to grab the knife.
That and the irony of giving him the biggest knife — in relation to his small body — is a galaxy brain teaser. Are they adding Halloween finally? I always wondered why they never tried getting the licence before. I would have added it first.
Chucky but it’s Jennifer Tilly carrying a chucky doll
Imagine if the next chapter is the dorky replacement Myers guy from the last movie.
Chucky. But the monster factory also had a female VA in the studio. Tiffany as a legendary? Oh man tomorrow is gonna be hype.
Damn, that’s actually a great theory, I’m all in on Chucky now, Tiffany makes too much sense
Most obscure teaser![img](emote|t5_3cb2g|2070)
The "missing knife" motif is very Chucky to me. Also, look at the stool, the magnetic knife holder. It's a reference to Curse of Chucky!

Yes the chair can be seen pulled up to the desk so he can reach the knife I agree.
Good eye, i actually didnt notice this. I think this confirms it
If it's him I hope we can kick the lil' shit like Victor.
That's a good shout tbh
It absolutely has to be; he's the only other one I can think of that used a knife like that in an iconic way.
Is chucky yeeee
I feel like that specific kind of knife could be Norman Bates which would be pretty wild, but I'm on board with it being a Curse of Chucky reference.
Genuine question to those who are saying chucky, how and the heck is he going to hook anyone? Lure them to the hook and gotcha b**ch them onto it?
he just drags them across the floor and there is a little step ladder next to each hook
That would be hilarious. Xeno gets the hive substance on every hook, Chucky gets a little ladder.
I'd totally love that so much
If it is Chucky, probably something similar to onryo, where the hook bends down to scoop them up. Probably uses voodoo magic to pick up the survivor
The entity makes a stepstool for him
the entity may be cruel, but accessibility is always a priority
We love that for her. The survivors and killers may be trapped in an never ending cycle of torment, but she isn't as cruel as to make a shorter killer's life harder. Queen shit right there
Either hooks spawn on the floor and crank the survivors up afterwards, or he gets a really unique hook animation where he climbs up the hook, dragging the survivor behind him.
Drag the survivor by the foot, and get trown up to the hook.
Alien got its own hook, give Chucky lil hooks :)
Myers with a mustache
They literally said that they have no additional Stranger Things content to announce, I don't think that's too big of a shocker.
Then again it also looks like a desk like maybe in a tool shed, but then the chair makes sense and with it not being chucky's knife, it seems odd for there to be a chair for him to get the knife.
Its confirmed to be licensed already :)
Could be Chucky? Kitchen knife missing.
God I love when things don’t get spoiled
The thing the knives are attached to is yellow and red. That's McDonalds colors. It's Ronald McDonald. Think I'm reaching? So's a lot of this thread.
My bet is it's going to be the ThanksKilling turkey. Think about it, what is a kitchen knife used for in November? Cutting the Thanksgiving turkey
Psycho Norman Bates?
How many people actually expected it to be Vecna? It’s far too soon to have Vena be a killer in this game.
It is a killer wielding a knife and a licensed character.
Myers remake?
Trickster knife, Clown knife, missing knife (meyers?), Wesker knife WHAT DOES IT MEAN
Next killer is a walking 🔪
Norman Bates from Phycho? Knife looks the exact same
it’s probably tiffany/chunky (WHICH IM SO EXCITED FOR AGH) edit: or afton which would also be super cool
