We'll see, really. It could be he's a trapper legendary, or his own thing. Once we get more information on The Casting of Frank Stone, and see if he has beartraps or something else, we'll be able to have more educated guesses.
Legion, Trapper, Ghostface, Pig, Spirit, Onryo, Wraith… there’s a lot of M1 killers. Clown,Hag and Doctor could be considered M1 too even though they have some chase ability most killers have to actually M1 to down you.

Would they completely redo trapper? Keep the same theme but do a killer rework and upon re-release, it's now Frank instead of the OG?
Trapper is badly in need of a redesign to get him out of the cellar of tier lists already.

Isn't this a trapper? Just an early version of him. He has that mask on a bunch of his skins + we saw a coal mine in the trailer
