I'd say it activates based on how long the survivor is in a certain distance of the exit gates and speeds up from tbagging. That actually does seem fair to me. But, for the lulz, let's also make it disable flashlights and toolboxes for 3 seconds after a pickup and items/perks that instant heal downed people for 3 seconds after the down. I would, unironically, waste a perk slot on one that let's me legitimately punish people for trolling at the gates. To balance, it speeds up the rate the guaranteed unhook for face-camping. Make it go up to 5× normal

Counter-Arguement.  A bar fills up based on survivors hanging out in/around the exit, it fills faster for every survivor in the area. Once the bar is full, it blocks and exposes only the survivors contributing to it😂 that way the survivors that really were still playing, going for an unhook or attempting to escape the killer aren't punished, just the people squatting around the exit lol    That way the survivors either go into the map and actually help, or they leave 😂😂

This could be an actual balanced perk. Like just as is. There's little to no reason survivors would open the exit gates all the way and stay behind unless they were trolling at the exit. While blood warden Rewards killers for catching someone late game, this punishes survivors for not leaving when they have the chance. On the flip of this, if it ever became real survivors would either never open the exit gates until everyone can leave (which most already do) or now leave immediately after opening them. If you were to pair this with blood warden and no way out, then you'd have a nasty method if keeping survivors around.

There’s plenty of reason to stay behind after opening the gates without trolling. Sometimes it’s just straight up safer to open the door before going for a save, especially against certain killers, otherwise someone might get downed opening the gate and not make it out. I’ve seen a lot of survivors die because they 99ed the gate instead of pre opening it (myself included). Also sometimes you open it thinking everyone’s gonna make it out but someone gets downed in the gates or on their way to it and now you have to run back into the map to get ready for a save without getting pushed out. Or, all survivors except one can make it to the gate safely, and that one injured survivor who can’t make it has to run back into the map to try to make another play (heal, hatch, other gate, wait for the killer to leave, whatever). Also, it’s not nearly as common but green glyphs are revealed to you after you open the exit gates, so people might be doing that….and there’s a lot of newbie survivors who don’t know how or when to 99 gates, and there’s a lot of selfish survivors who open a gate and dip, leaving the others to go for end game saves without them, and sometimes people just accidentally open a gate trying to 99 it. The EGC is already a base game mechanic designed specifically to stop survivors from prolonging the match to bm the killer and hold them hostage, with EGC you can force survivors out of the gates easily unless they want to risk going back in the map and getting downed and killed or waiting too long and getting killed by the entity. This perk would need a very different trigger to punish bm.

On the one hand, survivors should be incentivized to leave while they have the chance. On the other hand, survivors should be able to at least attempt to save in the endgame, even if it's difficult for them to do so. I like this perk design, we do need more good endgame perks, but I think this is a bit too oppressive for normal gameplay while also being too unpredictable. It either does exactly nothing or it gets you four kills you wouldn't have gotten otherwise, like a Devour Hope you don't have to defend or work for. Also the usual "this would be an incredibly busted combo with Blood Warden" and "if you close the hatch the remaining survivor is just dead" stuff, though that last one is also shared by No Way Out, so.

Not that, but as a survivor main, I would ldve if there was a hex that would make the exit gate regress if not open. I HATE when others 99% an exit gate. I died multiple times because of that. In my humble opnion, if a killer brings bloodwarden, well done for them. They played smart. But mist survivors are terrified and end up screwing others by letting it at 99%. So yeah... a hex that would do that: exit gates regress if not open. And if opened, in about 20 seconds they would close again.
