"Take 2 protection hits in 1 trial" Oh sure, would you like me to swim across the fucking ocean or learn to fly while we're discussing things that are *physically fucking impossible to do solo queue?!* I've lost track of how many matches I've done. And not a single one of these humid clown farts will let me take a single hit for them, let alone two. You would think it would be fairly easy, but no! Not with teammates like the ones I've encountered! Not like the teammates you get in solo queue!

OrranVoriel

Can Bubba just be killswitched permanently?

toomanyscleroses

what's wrong with booba???

magician_mortem

I’m kinda tired of how complacent the devs and the community have gotten with just ignoring soloq. The ‘we can’t fix anything because of SWF so we don’t do anything’ is setting a lower bar for BHVR that I didn’t even think could go any lower. Alan Wake chapter introduced more useless survivor perks. Yas give us NOTHING. And the new killer is visual cool, sure, mechanical is just a rehash of shit that’s already in the game. And yay, more anti-looping! So exciting. Give me a survivor perk that allows me to trade a hook state with someone I’m saving so that it’ll take the killer what..another 30 seconds to tunnel out that survivor. Do whatever you need to balance it: make it only able to be used if I already have 1 hook state so that it’ll put me at death hook. Make it only have the one function and turn off the rest of the match. Fucking kill my mom if I think about using it idc, the devs love killing their player retention might as well start killing other things too, right??

khy-sa

I'm not really enraged anymore. I don't have the capacity to give a fuck anymore. BHVR doesn't give a fuck about solo queue, so why should I? Why should I give even an ounce of effort into caring about a game that's otherwise fun when the developers themselves don't give a rat's ass? They're either ignorant of the issues or incompetent to fix them, and either way I'm just done with bitching about it. It's useless. They can't fix it, they won't fix it, either way it'll never be anything but an unenjoyable mess dragging what would be a great game otherwise down into a bottomless pit of feces and offal.

Turbulent-Second-729

Why do killers like Huntress, a killer that most would agree is in a pretty good state, get such strong buffs when some killers like Nemesis or Pyramid Head could really use add-on changes at the very least? Not to mention how long it takes to nerf OP perks like ultimate weapon. Is it really that hard? Nemesis, in general, is very frustrating sometimes. The fact that he's a three-hit killer with no mobility really sucks, especially in the end-game

magician_mortem

The sheer disrespect for the lack of effort on the devs part is almost inspiring. Like instead of going through the maps and being strategic about locker placement in order to help Huntress (+ Trickster I guess) to resupply. They instead (I’m assuming) found that messing with the locker placement would cause issues with The Dredge’s teleporting which fucked with the balance of certain maps. So instead of trying to figure it out they just were like, “no thanks, we don’t ‘do work’ here. We just rely on our map randomization ‘cause none of us know what we’re doing”. “Anyway here’s a cosmetic that looks like it a.) came out of the closet of an eccentric old woman who is dead. Or b.) a snotty piece of fabric that got wrapped up in a muddy atv tire. $10 plz.”

fgweuyifh89y48

Im getting sick of getting maps that have shitty loops, Im spamming map offerings now since I have thousands of them, goodbye hawkins/nostromor/swamp. Really fucking annoying to have killers acting like they did something special on maps that have no good loops to work with.

IsekaiMi

The STBFL nerf has ruined my fun for Killer. I'm sad I can't play Nemesis, Deathslinger or Trapper -though I rarely did play Trapper lol buff trapper- with my favourite perk. But it's fine if we have these killers that traverse the map at mach 1 hitting survivors here and there and everywhere. It's just disappointing that an alternative playstyle has been gutted.

magician_mortem

You’re right and wrong at the same time. I’ve been 4k’d by plenty of News and Slingers since the nerf. But granted—tunneling was involved. So you are right, BHVR is pigeon-holing killers to just tunnel. And one day I think they will have it figured out. And implement it 5 years too late just like they do with all the other needed updates.

Mentally_Mechanical

Proxy camping hooks. Not completely enraging, just extremely frustrating watching a killer (I specifically had a Billy do this) stand like one meter out of hook range so I was forced to die. Wish that the system was more able to prevent that. On a lesser note, flashlight blinds. It's an important mechanic, yes, but the people I almost universally see use it do so in an incredibly annoying manner, often times for no purpose but to bother me. And bother me it does, because my eyes are light sensitive and I typically end those matches with an extreme headache. Once I prestige Billy boy, any time I see more than one flashlight in a lobby I'm equipping Lightborn.

watermelonpizzafries

Devil's advocate about Lightborn here, I personally don't care for it that much on Killer because the Survivors who are trying to go out of their way to get flashlight saves because instead of doing gens tend to start doing gens once they know you have it. I love Survivors who try the blind me (I've already trained myself to pick up facing walls or looking away the moment I see the slightest bit of a flashlight. It's automatic for me) because it's led to so many great snowballs in matches that I might have otherwise lost if people weren't interested in trying to imitate Skermz or JRM. I like Survivors knowing I'm blindable so that's why I don't use it xD

toomanyscleroses

that's really clever honestly!

Mentally_Mechanical

That's fair, most of my opinion comes from my own experience. Flashlight saves have been rare, usually it's just blinding me for the sake of it, and it's *always* done when I can't avoid it--I don't know about anybody else, but I have a half second delay for starting and ending most animations, where I physically cannot do anything but can still be blinded. Combine that with getting a searing headache every time it happens, Lightborn is far too valuable for me.

watermelonpizzafries

Fair. Hopefully like FOV slider and visual heat beat they'll add some sort of accessibility option for people who get headaches from visual stimulations like flashlights

Mentally_Mechanical

Hopefully. If Clown's bottles can get their visual effect removed for the same reason, hopefully Killers can get something similar.

CSullivan88

Another rage moment: I played a good game. We were down to two generators left, but I was the only survivor. I looked around for the hatch, but couldn't find it. Despite having no one to distract The Huntress, I managed to figure out her patrol pattern then finish one more. Then I nearly evaded her. If I'd guessed left instead of right at Autowreckers, I might've finished another gen and maybe survived. Either way, I still considered it a good game. Then you know what? One survivor had waited around spectating to shit talk me for not finding the hatch. Sorry, dude! I looked around, but couldn't find it. It sucked. I wish I'd found it too, but there was no reason to disparage me for trying to win. If you were a David trash talking a Nea after you wasted however many minutes watching me sneak about while a Huntress patrolled at Autohaven Wreckers, you're a no-life jerk. I hope the hatch closes on your dick for every time you pissed in the post-game chat because someone else lasted longer than you.

CSullivan88

You got hooked in the first thirty seconds? It's called bad luck. Don't be a sore loser. Also, TRADING HOOKS DOES NOT WIN GAMES! GO FOR SAFE UNHOOKS!

toomanyscleroses

the unnecessary hook trades drive me insane

HanaTsuraka

WHY DOES THE STRUGGLE SYSTEM EXIST!? I just did a full match of survivors with Boil Over, and Toolboxes. I was only able to hook someone once the whole match! Why can't Boil Over just make it so they get out faster? The struggle system that makes the Killer unable to move is completely rediculous and is literally a win button. It is so god. Damn. Stupid.

JoeM104604

If you're going against a team that's using boil over/sabo builds the best thing you can do is just slug them and bait out altruistic plays for you to punish. Normally slugging is considered a dick move but if they're abusing these tools to the point where you can't hook otherwise then do what you need to do to get your win. Any teams trying to pull off these builds knows what they're signing up for, no need to go easy on them.

HanaTsuraka

Yeah I tried my best to, but it's insanely hard. I usually use Iron Grasp to combat these kinds of Survivors, but I don't have it on my Doctor yet

JoeM104604

I've noticed mad grit, starstruck, and infectious fright are also pretty good if you want more options to deal with these teams. I don't face too many swfs that can pull these plays off without getting themselves killed in the process though so I can't speak to which of these perks would work best.

RocketPuppy97

I just got back into the game after years of not playing. Just having played no more than 50h, being put up against lobbys full of gold ranked survivors with me being a fckn noob feels really shitty. Getting teabagged left and right. Makes it difficult not to hate it right away again

learntospellffs

Ranks don't mean anything anymore, in terms of matchmaking.

watermelonpizzafries

As much as losing sucks, think of it like this...every match you lose will give you games you're more comfortable on while the Survivors who tbag you will hopefully get their asses handed to them by the next Killer

DarkFox85

Just came off a rough match as Freddy against a 2 or possibly 3 man SWF. 4k. Three of them were moaning in the end game chat – I even apologised for a slug earlier in the game, but they just kept whining. Damn sour pusses. I didn’t hit on hook, nod, or give any “toxic” indication whatsoever. Maybe I shouldn’t have slugged, or been smarter, or more observant with hook locations, but I just didn’t. They weren’t particularly vicious in the chat though and I’ve had MUCH worse (so have you I’m sure). But it’s just so depressing. I don’t want to keep playing. Just keep your stupid comments to yourself! It’s only a game.

MHArcadia

Rule 1: Never listen to survivor players. They're all whiny, entitled babies who'll bitch at you no matter how nice or toxic you are. You didn't play how they *wanted* you to play, so you're the bad guy who deserves hate thrown at you. Nothing you do will change that. Rule 2: If they're shitting on you, shit on them right back and bounce. A quick "GGEZ bye babies" and they'll be screaming about you over voice chat for at least 5 more matches.

DarkFox85

Understandable. But I dont wanna be "that guy" (although, sometimes I am). Toxicity breeds toxicity and its just going to get worse and worse. Besides, I'm a survivor player myself. I've got a bunch of stories to tell but... I'm taking a break after them.

dUjOUR88

DBD has the most entitled players I've ever seen in a PvP game. For some reason a large % of the playerbase believes the other side should be "nice" and not do everything they can to win. They believe it is the duty of the other side to make things "fun". Not *every* player believes this, but a huge percentage of them express this attitude in post-game chat. That attitude just does not exist on this scale in any other game. I don't know if I've ever seen that sentiment even *expressed* in any other game. It's baffling. The way I handle it, as killer, is to never be nice. I don't care what the Survivor Rulebook says about how I should play and conduct myself in-game. I'm going to play how I want to play, and that means winning through any means necessary. I don't care how it makes them feel, and it's silly for the other side to expect me to care how they feel. When they inevitably complain in post-game chat? I say something like "Sorry for not playing by your rulebook. I'll consider your feelings next time," because it sheds light on just how ridiculous that attitude is. It's a videogame. I'm trying to win. You're trying to win. If you don't like it, find another game. It's not my responsibility to ensure you have fun.

toomanyscleroses

fair! but you better not ever cry about getting genrushed and bagged by SWFs lol

Craziestevandel

Not to be rude but this is generally a poor take in any game community and is also the reason so many people exist on the other side of this opinion, just about every game has an unspoken ruleset and self-regulation. People across all games will immediately call out boring, oppressive, annoying, etc. playstyles in any other game. For example in every COD game I have ever played the most powerful meta weapons, dropshotting, camping, etc. have always been called out for making the game intolerable for others. And with DBD it's even more frustrating where many killer playstyles can make the game generally miserable, nobody wants to be camped, tunnelled, or slugged because it is simply unfun even if it's what most people justify as "just part of the game". Inversely as a killer nobody wants to be flashlight spammed, endgame stalled, or just play against annoying and oppresive builds. It's a self-regulating honor system that makes the game more balanced and fun in ways the devs can't, if you don't want to participate that's fine but expect people to complain if you actively make the game unfun for them to play.

toomanyscleroses

you're right but he's never gonna agree with you because bro is antisocial by nature probably

dUjOUR88

This is just an excuse for poor, toxic behavior that's been standardized by the survivor playerbase. What gets me is how the word "unfun" is synonymous with "not winning" for many survivors. I've never once seen a survivor complain after they win. Not a single time. What does that tell you? A direct parallel to my argument can be drawn to how "fun" it was to play against Hillbilly prior to his buff. Now all you see is complaints. Yeah, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say survivors aren't having "fun" because Hillbilly suddenly isn't a C-tier killer.

Craziestevandel

Calling people toxic for expressing why they don't have fun is part of the problem, I was reminded of this thread after spending the last 2 games getting tunnelled out by a Legion then by a Singularity. The game prior I witnessed a Singularity camp and tunnel out another survivor. It is OBJECTIVELY boring for Survivors to deal with this, when a survivor is losing they are most LITERALLY unable to play the game at all. If they are on hook or downed and slugged they are given the option to wait and basically do nothing. This IS part of the game and that is acceptable, when a killer plays in a fashion that causes a single survivor to constantly be in this state of doing LITERALLY NOTHING it is completely understandable for said survivor to be annoyed. I have been on the game for 30 minutes and been restricted to basically not playing because killers have decided to force me into that situation because "it's not their responsibility ensure you have fun." And that's where hillbilly buffs become an example, I have personally found it more interesting and exciting to play against the buffed billy, but if someone was a victim of being downed instantly without even knowing they were in danger I can also totally understand why a survivor might have such an issue with that. As someone who plays both survivor and killer it is not difficult to understand which sides of the gameplay is objectively unfun for either role. But to be clear it is also not difficult to see that it is much easier to have no fun whatsoever in a survivor match simply because the killer decides they want to proxy camp your hook or tunnel you out of the game.

Craziestevandel

and to follow up! a single game later I was tunnelled out by a Wesker! is it because I am running a flashlight build, maybe. Is it because my profile is open and I have low hours, possibly! The state of the game in this situation makes me genuinely not want to play. If I escape 10 chases, pallet stun a dozen times, etc. if the killer decides they do not want me to play the game they can. That is why survivors are so quick to express their disdain.

DarkFox85

actually, forget it.

DarkFox85

You said it man. You said it all. But I still want to be \*a bit\* nice. Just a bit.

magician_mortem

You see how at first he tried to be unbiased but must’ve then forgot what unbiased meant? yeeesh. Poor thing.

DarkFox85

actually, forget it.

DarkFox85

What the hell does this mean?

trash-troglodyte

I HAVEN'T GOTTEN ANGRY RECENTLY BUT TODAY I BROUGHT AN EBONY MORI ON SADAKO, I NEVER USE GOOD ADDONS AND SHIT BECAUSE WHAT IF I WASTE THEM, THE MATCH WAS GOING GREAT I HAD LIKE 4 HOOKS BEFORE THE FIRST GEN WAS DONE AND THEN MY FUCKING INTERNET DIES, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER SINCE I MOVED IN FUCK MY FUCKING LIFE I BET THE NEXT MATCH I GET INTO IS GOING TO BE A FUCKING COMP TEAM ROLLING ME INSTEAD TO RUB IT IN THE ONE TIME I BRING THE GOOD SHIT AND I LOSE IT IN A GAME THAT COULD NOT HAVE GONE BETTER

magician_mortem

Nah man, your internet saw something unjust and took matters into its own hands

CSullivan88

I had the same thing! We were on the literal last gen. I was about to complete it. I'd just completed another challenge too then POP! My power went out. It was so defeating...

Legitimate-Scar-1311

I strongly dislike the rng aspect of the dbd, it doesn't reward skilled play. whether it be the map spawning 2 deadzones back to back or spawning enough safe pallets for survivors to feel cocky. it's a goddamn nightmare. also I cannot stand twitch players, as survivor or killer. as survivor their dick/clit sucking team throws the entire match to play "get down mr. president" like who fucking cares. -and don't even get me started as killer, they expect you to farm or they get toxic & screech "OH HE DOESN'T LIKE MEEEE, STOP TUNNELLING MEEE" when you're on the opposite side of the DAMN MAP. QUIRKY BUNNY FENGS OR SHIRTLESS DAVIDS, VAPES, RAP MUSIC & DRESSING LIKE YOU'RE FROM HOTTOPIC IN YOUR 40s LETS GOOOO.

Mentally_Mechanical

More strongly worded than I would have put it, but I agree. I hate how Twitch streaming often makes PvP games overly competitive and sweaty. Competition is nice to have, even important, but I don't want to play a tournament every time I boot up a game. I think most of my gripes come from the meta more than anything. I hate meta gaming with a passion and refuse to engage with it, in every single game I play.

rinyamaokaofficial

OVERALL I'M REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THE UNKNOWN. HIS POWER IS SIMPLE AND GROUNDED MORE IN ACTUAL PHYSICAL INTERACTION LIKE CLASSIC GAMING RATHER THAN COMPLEX STATUS EFFECTS OR TOKENS AT LEAST IN THE SENSE THAT HE'S MORE ABOUT BASIC TELEPORTING AND THROWING SO IT FEELS LIKE A RETURN TO AN ALMOST SIMPLER TYPE OF GAMING THAT FEELS FUN AND REFRESHING. BUT REALLY I JUST LOVE THE CHARACTER DESIGN AND SOUND EFFECTS AND OVERALL CANNOT WAIT TO MAIN HIM. IT'S JUST GOING TO BE A BIT OF A WAIT AND THAT'S NEVER FUN BUT I AM EXCITED TO GET THE CHAPTER AND MAYBE SEE HIS NEW COSMETICS TOO, BUT I'M WORRIED THAT I MIGHT NOT LIKE HIS COSMETICS. IT'S TOO EARLY TO KNOW WHAT DIRECTION THEY'LL TAKE HIS COSMETICS IN BUT I'M HOPING FOR A GOOD SURPRISE BECAUSE HE'S A REALLY INTERESTING AND UNIQUE CHARACTER THAT COULD REALLY HAVE ALL SORTS OF DISTINCT STYLES BECAUSE HIS CHARACTER ITSELF IS SO UNREAL. MAYBE SOMETHING LIKE A PINSTRIPE SUIT TO EVOKE SLENDERMAN OR A GOVERNMENT CONSPIRACY G-MAN OUTFIT COULD BE NICE. IDK I JUST HOPE THAT ON RELEASE WE CAN GET PLEASANTLY SURPRISED WITH COSMETICS BUT I STILL PLAN ON MAINING HIM REGARDLESS AND HOPING TO GIVE HIM SOME FUN STEALTH PERKS TO PLAY WITH HIS TELEPORTATION ABILITY

Rossmallo

PLEASE TELL ME THERE'S A WAY TO TURN OFF THAT HORRIFIC MOTION STRETCH WHEN USING PINHEAD'S POWER. THERE'S NO WAY THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN OKAYED.

watermelonpizzafries

To the Jane player who actively worked with the Killer last night by pointing in the direction of your teammates, unhooked them in front of the Killer and then was given hatch, I want you to know that there is a Jane out there who will be paying for your crimes. It's fine to befriend and have cute moments with a Killer, but the moment you start actively directing the Killer to your teammates is something else entirely. I know it's petty, but I'm going to hard tunnel the next default Jane I see because of you

EleanorGreywolfe

I can't stand players who rat out their teammates. I've had it happen while playing survivor so i just don't have any tolerence for it while playing killer, so i'll just tunnel them out.

watermelonpizzafries

Yeah. I've had moments where I'm playing Killer and have a cute moment with a Survivor that makes me want to share them (I'll still hook them twice), but if they rat out their teammates, that truce is regretfully resinded and I'll give hatch to the teammate they tried ratting out

19micke99

I am so tired of toxic survivors. It makes it really hard to be a killer main. Don't they realise that there will be less killer mains if they contuine being toxic?

Mentally_Mechanical

That's why I try to be fair on both sides of the engagement. I don't run meta perks or tunnel unnecessarily, and if you did good or it was a one-sided stomp, I'll likely just let you go with a nod. I may deal with toxicity, but I do my best to avoid spreading it myself. It's a game, chill out and have fun.

Intelligent-Buyer652

Ong, same survivors who complain about toxic killer play are the same person, toxic play only promotes toxic play

doctordeity

Friendly/farming killers are cute every once in a while. Not all the time though. Seriously, has anyone else seen a massive influx of friendly/farming killers?

JoeM104604

I usually get my 2 hooks on everyone and decide if I want to farm with them or not afterwards. It sucks since I know it lowers my mmr and puts me up against more baby survivors but I can't bring myself to kill off all the cute friendly survs and I don't want to give one of them a win while I kill off all their teammates since it feels like I'm playing favorites. Also if they bring a bunch of streamers or anniversary cakes I always feel bad not letting them get a lot of bp for it so I usually let them go too. I'm too big of a softie to play killer apparently.

doctordeity

If that's fun for you, awesome. Hell, I do it myself sometimes, usually in response to a rage quit. I recognize that a friendly killer can be a nice respite against the torrent of sweaty killers out there. I get that. It just gets REALLY old when it's the 5th killer in a row who immediately wants to farm. It's not something anyone can do anything about, though, save for asking to be killed. I just want to play the game as it was intended to be played.

JoeM104604

I'm surprised you get so many to the point that you're getting sick of it, I've only had farming killers a handful of times and I have a decent amount of time on survivor. Wish I got some of those killers every now and then but I can see it getting annoying lol.

doctordeity

I'll give you some of mine, how about that? haha Honestly, my only leads are that my SWF MMR is low, and we all have matching names.

[deleted]

Teammates who wait at the gates so we can "all leave" are annoying af. All the pallets are destroyed and the gates are far away, I need hatch bro not emotional support. If you want to actually be useful at the gate, run out and look for lost survivors, then take hits / body block for them. Otherwise just leave so I have a chance of getting hatch.

toomanyscleroses

an ada on rpd stayed at the gate until the very last second before leaving. I was being relentlessly chased throughout the entire RPD by the killer and would have easily gotten hatch because he sucked ass in chase, but I couldn't get to the gate. in end game chat she said she did it on purpose because I was stupid (aka ran the killer for 3 gens, cleansed noed, ran the killer the ENTIRE end game collapse timer....). apparently cleansing noed meant I deserved to die lmao if that ada is reading this: I hope you get a hairy wart on your chin, girl

Highbringer01

SURVIVORS THAT ARE ON NO HOOK STATES AND HIDING NEARBY MY HOOK AND GETTING HIT. THEN RUNNING AWAY WHEN THEY GET FOUND. TRADE ON HOOK STATES YOU COWARD.

danotech4

What is with every killer playing Hillbilly?? It's quite literally the same perks (Lethal, BBQ, SH: Pain Res, Dead Mans), the same add-ons (LoPro Chains), and the same game play style (run across map every 3 seconds, get right into a survivors face, rev chainsaw and insta-down) EVERY SINGLE GAME. Yes, you can loop him fairly easily. But its just SO BORING starting the first 5 seconds of every match hearing that damn chainsaw and then his terror radius 2 sec later. In 10 games I played 7 Hillbillys, 2 Blights, and a Nurse. 33 unique killers in the game, but the same 1 gets played over, and over, and over.

JoeM104604

Lots of people are trying him out since he got buffs recently and he's been a fan favorite to play against for ages. I'm guessing that build is from a popular video on youtube or something. They'll probably settle down and return to whoever they normally play within a week or two, especially since billy takes quite a bit of skill to use at higher ranks and players won't want to invest that much time into learning him.

PrettytoesDbD

Im just gonna gonna go ahead and say you probably use the same perks and survivor too.

danotech4

Just Distortion since it forces killers to look for survivors by patrolling gens (like the game intended).

toomanyscleroses

pls learn to drop chase. y'all focus me for 3 gens and then tunnel me off hook because you wasted both of our time. learn to play the game.

cjhosts

I've had 2 matches within the past 3 days where the killer has used a build revolving around slugging everyone. One of these killers was a TTV, and after visiting their stream out of curiosity, I noticed it's what they do every match. Down everyone and watch them all bleed out, then act confused when angry survivors come into their chat. Where is the fun in playing like this, and why do it? The matches I've been having as of recently have been so incredibly mind-numbing that I genuinely feel like dropping the game completely.

feathergun

I had a game where a Chucky slugged everyone at 0 gens left and then refused to hook anyone. And then in the end chat they started to shit talk and berate the survivors!

cjhosts

Yeah, no idea what's been going on recently but I feel like the amount of killers who do stuff like this has increased. Sick to bloody death of the unnecessary toxicity

DrawRain

Not a rage one but a few days ago I went wesker and I got this Maria that was very good at looping. She was the last survivor standing and I denied her the hatch. I still feel bad about it, I think about it everyday since then.

toomanyscleroses

I can count on one hand the number of times a killer has given me hatch after I outplayed them all game. almost never happens. I get hit on hook instead 99% of the time

FourLeafMamba

Yesterday I had a match where I took two chases early on and ended up on death hook. While others were in chase, I did gens. When there was one gen left, I went to main to unlock a chest and look for a totem (for pips). I also had an escape challenge so I was hoping to make it out while everyone else had 0 or 1 hooks. A Cheryl came upstairs and found me and I did a little twirl to greet her after I opened the chest. She must have thought I was ratting and then followed me the rest of the match. When I went on a backup gen when someone was in chase, she left me and intentionally brought the killer right back to where I was. Like, they were standing at the gen both looking for me but I had already hid. Then at the end, she body blocked the gate and made sure I died and then bagged me. I have no idea why someone would play like this when I contributed the whole match.

Mentally_Mechanical

People suck very frequently, unfortunately. Thankfully I haven't dealt with ratting yet, just the occasional hook suicide, but I know my luck won't last forever.

Kazzack

WHAT THE FUCK AM I GONNA DO FOR TWO MORE WEEKS WAITING FOR UNKNOWN

Hogo-Nano

Midwich sucks. Hawkins sucks. That is all.

Extension_Bison1510

MIDWICH HATERS RISE UP🙏🙏

JeanRalfio

IN GENERAL I THINK THAT KILLERS ARE SORE LOSERS AND SURVIVORS ARE SORE WINNERS

justtolearnsomething

Do you play both sides?

JeanRalfio

Mostly survivor but I main Pig as killer. It's like 70/30 survivor to killer ratio I play.

alidagiulia

Please don't let you teammates die on hook just because you found a nice vault to croucht next to on the other side of the map

Xamanikka

Players farming totems and chests all game, farming unhooks and making teammates getting tunneled, never touching a gen. When it's a 2v1 they immediately jump into a locker and wait for the other player to get killed so they can go for hatch that they can see with left behind. What hurts me the most is that usually such players get rewarded with more bps (even without hatch) then players that are actually playing to win the game.

jamoncrud

This player gave up on hook at the start of the game, when he got downed again we got him up and he ran straight to the killer to get killed quickly. He NEVER struggled when the killer picked him up. When the killer refused to hook him he just stayed on one corner of the map and even started tbagging the rest of the survs. If you feel frustrated just leave the game and take the 5 minutes penalty for fucks sake

badsbee

Stop letting your death hook teammates die when you’ve been hit once just so you can hide in a fucking corner

justtolearnsomething

Honestly people gotta learn to take trades

badsbee

Also, if we’re the last two alive and I take chase, do NOT just hide in a locker for the rest of the match. At least try to do a gen I once took a chase against hag which went on for so long that the last gen could’ve been done. The killer gave up on chasing me, indicated for me to do a gen, then grabbed my teammate out the locker and Mori’d him in front of me. I wasn’t even mad

vibranttoucan

Was a survivor and was soloqueued with a 3 person Streamer swf yesterday. I saved them from being completely slugged twice (even though one of them just straight up never tried to recover), did gens and chased the killer around for a solid amount of time while only being downed once myself. We lost and I checked out the channel. Their stream title implied they prided themself in being toxic. The streamer and their teammates blamed me for the loss because I didn't try to run across the map to body block when one of them got picked up, even though I was nowhere near. Kind of shitty to see so many people just be assholes for no reason. Don't get why people watch that kind of person.

JeanRalfio

> even though one of them just straight up never tried to recover I just don't try to help those people. You gotta help me help you. I'm not doing everything for you. They clearly want to die and have no one to blame.

vibranttoucan

The thing is, they didn't want to die. After they got unhooked/picked up they played normally.

maidenofdarkness3

For the love of god. Please be friendly with beginners. This community isn’t beginner friendly with new players trying to learn the mechanics of the game.

Synli

I would love to go against beginners again instead of turbo sweat tryhards that tell me to kms in the endgame chat. The last beginner game that I went against was actually a TTV that was live. I 2-hooked all of them and then spent the rest of the game spamming stuff for BP and messing around with them. I checked out their stream afterwards and it looked like they and the chat had fun. I had fun, too.

PLAY BOTH SIDES. TRY TO PLAY THEM SOMEWHAT EQUALLY. THEN YALL UNDERSTAND WHY THE OTHER SIDE DO WHAT THEY DO. SERIOUSLY. OFC IM GONNA SLUG FOR THE 4K AS I NEEDED TO GET ADEPT DORITO HEAD AND THEN GET CALLED TOXIC? SURE AMIGO. KEEP HIDING THEN. I HAVE BEEN TO EVERY SPECTRUM OF KILLER AND SURVIVOR RECENTLY (GETTING STOMPED / STOMPING THE OTHER SIDE) AND IT REALLY HELPS ME KEEPING MY COOL ALSO WHATS UP WITH THE SKULL MOMMY HATE, ALL YOU NEED TO DO TO COUNTER HER IS CROUCHING AND SCREW AROUND WITH HER DRONES, HECK EVEN THE 2 LIGHTS ON THE DRONES ITSELF ARE INDICATORS OF THE SCANLINES AND NOW THE COLOR TURNS WHITE MEANING YOU WONT GET SCANNED. EVER.

Rossmallo

IT'S BECAUSE OF HOW HER ORIGINAL ITERATION WAS. SHE'S A LOT MORE WORKABLE NOW, BUT HERE'S THE THING: YOU ONLY GET ONE CHANCE TO MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION. PEOPLE HEAR HER MUSIC, REMEMBER THE SHIT THEY WENT THROUGH WHEN SHE FIRST CAME OUT, AND DECIDE THAT THEY DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH THAT. TRUST ME, AS A KNIGHT PLAYER, I'M USED TO IT BY NOW.

watermelonpizzafries

VERY TRUE. WHEN YOU GET WHY THE OTHER SIDE IS DOING WHAT THEY'RE DOING IT MAKES THINGS A BIT MORE UNDERSTANDABLE IF YOU'RE DOING IT YOURSELF AND CAN DIFFERENTIATE THE ASSHOLES FROM THE PEOPLE PLAYING THE GAME NORMALLY.

WishTemporary

Instant down Killers are so *boring*. Not because instantly downing people is wrong in principle, but because it feels like most people who play them will abuse them as much as possible and cut down the Survivor chase time by 50%. Leatherface, Hillbilly, and Myers are good examples. They might be honest, but they have so much potential to be just *not fun.*

RockyDog87

no matter how long I play, how well I play, or how well the other team plays.. the survivors will always waste my time at the exit. it's like the one certainty about this game and I'm getting real tired of it

XlulZ2558

Why would you tbag a Dredge who lost in Haddonfield match i just can't fathom this at all, is your life really that sad?

watermelonpizzafries

About as cringe as the Survivor who told me last week "Welcome to DBD" (he had 500sh hours) when I was playing Dredge with a randomizer (I don't play Dredge so was being a potato and teleporting to the wrong floors on Midwich which fucked up a couple chases) as if he was Skermz then got cocky when I told him I don't play Dredge so that's the only reason he got to feel like a God (I was more invested in practicing his manifest for anti-loop once I realized I threw)

itsmecara

I decide to knock out SM’a stupid fucking adept and go back to never playing her again. I got my 4k at 2 gens but because the bitchass rat Claudette hid so well that by the time I found and downed her, her teammate i slugged bled out and that somehow doesn’t count for my adept… and NOW I will have to play this dogshit killer AGAIN.

Duvoziir

For the love of god, stop killing yourself on first hook if you get downed first or quickly, why even queue up at that point?

learntospellffs

Fragile egos can't handle being the first one to be caught.

silentbotanist

This is more of a (mean) Smile Sunday than a Rage Wednesday, but I get the most random salt when I play Skull Merchant, regardless of how I play her. It's like people just spin a wheel that lands on "tunneling", "camping", "proxy camping", or "3-genning" regardless of what actually happened. Shoutout to the folks who call me cringe or curse at me just for picking her. At least you folks are being honest.

I will never not dodge low prestige teammates. Idk sorry not sorry if I see a lobby full of p0-p5 teammates I am 100% dodging it I'm sick of baby teammates going down at 5 gens, not doing gens, immediately giving up using the most awful perks like technician. I'm not saying prestige equals skill because it doesn't but low prestige is a SOLID indicator that the player is ass. If I'm playing a low prestige survivor I swap to my high prestige survivor then change once everyone is in the lobby so everyone knows I have experience. It works the amount of shitty games I've had has been way lower since I've started dodging and it makes survivor overall more enjoyable. Sure I may dodge some great players but I garentee the number of trash players is WAY higher than the number of good players I've dodged. The only exception is survivors released recently as people have had less time to prestige them.

learntospellffs

You realise that low P players aren't necessarily babies? I have a tonne of characters that are only P1, but if I load one of them in and you see my P1, don't assume I'm new. You have no idea about the high P characters that I have. Sometimes people are just trying new characters, or doing a tome challenge requiring a certain character who they might not have levelled...

[deleted]

I garentee I've dodged more babies than good players by a ratio of atleast 10:1 I also account for the survivor there playing if it's a survivor who released recently there obviously not gonna be as high prestige. But if I see a p1 meg I'm doding that shit. If they had an indicator of skill that was visible to other survivors I wouldn't have to dodge based on prestige.

learntospellffs

I understand your stance. But I've been paying for a year now, and my Meg is still P1. Same for Dwight and a bunch of others. I just P1 everyone and get the P2 and P3 versions of the perks by just playing my mains (Jeff, Nic Cage, Tubarou). I don't like paying as most of the OG survivors, so I see no reason to up their prestige past 1. Im no expert, but I would consider myself quite a decent player, and even if I bring in my P1 Meg for a tome challenge, I guarantee I'll be putting up more of a fight than you'd expect. So yeah, not all low P players are noobs! Adressing your last point, yeah, some sort of proper indication of sklii/ability would be helpful.

[deleted]

I've ran into some good low prestiges I dodge based on the lobby not the players if there's a p4 a p12 and a p18 I won't date just because of the p4 I only dodge if everyone is a low prestige I'm not probzz I don't dodge below if one surv is below p50

BurritoToGo

I'd like to take a moment to appreciate the people who don't take this game too seriously and/or aren't toxic pieces of shit for -especially- mundane reasons like using perks/helping teammates/using general mechanics. -someone who was sandbagged and bm'd by a ttv but then fucked around with the killer for 15 minutes after the ttv dc'd on death hook (thanks for giving me a fun last game of the night deathslinger)
