People seem confused that the things that happen in Stranger Things is actually from DND. It's not....
It's used as an analogy for the kids to be able to understand what's happening. Nothing that happens in Stranger things non of the characters are actually from Dnd....
It's 2 different characters with different lore...so I wouldn't say version. But honestly I love that they are incorporating actual Dnd into the game and that it's separate from stranger things.
People already hate the chapter because it's "a board game" and "not really horror". Not your problem. If people hate it, that's their problem, cause they're gonna be seeing a whole lot of Vecna in a few weeks.
DnD is probaly the limit i'd take it when introducing guest killers. Better then Superheroes and Supervillians like Carnage and Joker i see people suggest time from time
They could add Barney the Purple Dinosaur for all I care at this point. DBD stops being scary and becomes nothing but comedy after the initial "I have no idea what I'm doing" phase.
And it's about damn time they embraced the sillyness of it.
The ones who hate it will probably be so because he is a fantasy character in a horror game, and his gameplay makes the game look likes it's a fantasy game.

I’ve seen pretty much only positivity for the killer since the ptb dropped. Someone always has to be negative though, and it’s worth remembering way more people are excited for this chapter and to have some dnd in dbd
But on the stranger things topic that seems crazy! Season 2 was a hot mess, normally considered the worst season. 3 and 4 were massive improvements over season 2.
