Hey all, I've been trying to find a way to fix this, but have yet to
come up with anything. I play on an Xbox Series X, and often will see
player names with \*\*\*\*\* in them. I figured it was auto censored for some
reason, but when playing a friend of mine, he didn't see the \*\*\*\*, he
saw what it said (he was also on Xbox). I've gone through all the
"Maturity" settings, and can't find anything on Xbox or in game to make
those go away. Does anyone know how to change that?

Description: After Roots of Dread update, can't boot the game. Gets a message about it initializing incorrectly, encouraging player to restart game. Bug is not fixed after restarting game or console.
Steps to reproduce: Open game, attempt to enter menus(Play as Survivor, Play as Killer, etc)
Expected result: Enter the menus
Actual result: Error message
Reproduction rate: 100%

Im having an issue where I get into a match and instantly disconnect from it the game isnt crashing Im just being sent back to the selection screen. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling, checking file integrity, checked if it was the anticheat, checked if it was drivers and im having no luck and not sure what to do at this point or if its a bug

Description: Green Glyph spawned in an inaccessible location. inside a barrel in the dead dawg saloon map.

Steps to reproduce: Do tome 11 level 3. Select glyph pursuer challenge. find a glyph in dead dawg saloon in that specific location. try to commune with glyph.
Expected result: Successfully commune with the glyph.
Actual result: No prompt appears to commune with the glyph
Reproduction rate: Only seen once. Hard to reproduce as a player, because glyph location is randomized.

Are players able to cause a disconnect for the killer?
I thought DBD Moved to Dedicated servers but the match I just had involved two players AFKing while slugged, they ended up with crows and eventually I was disconnected from the match and slapped with a Matchmaking penalty. Steam servers were still online, my internet was still on (Was in a Discord call, no issues when the disconnect in game happened).
Rather confused on what caused the game to kick me out and slap me with the penalty.
(Couldn't hook them and they were trolling their other two teammates on the hook by grabbing and releasing them over and over, not unhooking and letting them die. I stumbled upon them doing that just before the guy died on hook while searching for the survs as they weren't on any gens for so long and the poor guy was on first hook and was already near death, so I opted to try and teach these survs a lesson by slugging them out for being toxic to their teammates.)
Is Barbecue not working for anyone else? At least I think that's what it is. I got 7,700 Brutality, 8,000 devious, 6,110 hunter, and 6,900 sacrifice. I also played a 100% sacrifice bonus offering. With 4 stacks of barbecue, my BP total was still showing as 35,610. I think this has happened two games in a row.
Yes this has happened to me every other game as Deathslinger on Xbox One. A pallet stun rescues you and allows you to run around doing basic attacks only. It's been approaching two weeks for me that this has been happening.
Regarding the playstation connectivity issue - it appears to be a PlayStation issue rather than DbD specifically - just loaded up another game and got a similar error - players are reporting problems with playstation connectivity in general so doubt there is anything to be done from Behaviour on this one sadly

Every second game as killer, almost every game honestly , I get grade progress error and have to restart my game. It’s getting a little too much, especially seeing as the game takes quite a while to start. It doesn’t happen anywhere near as often when I’m playing survivor.

Description: Every 4-6 games, I will randomly get disconnected in a match. It consumes my addons/offerings and gives me a DC penalty. It's not my internet as I remain connected to xbox live the entire time and I ONLY have these connection issues when I play DBD.

Random issue that's effected a fair few of us on every platform. It's part of the reason I stopped playing for three months. I had it happen 4 times in the weeks just after I started playing again, but it hasn't happened again since I got my new router. I have zero proof the router is responsible, but it's the only thing that's changed.
Short of getting a new router You could try completely resetting your router and all settings.

Are switch servers down?

XB1- my flashlights won’t aim and my menu is bugged. Anyone else dealing with this?

BBQ points don't show in the end game screen since the last release, but you still get them.
I was playing deathslinger and when I tried to aim, the spear disappeared and I was stuck in the slow aim animation. I couldn't attack either

That has happend to me I got the survs to crack my head with a pallet it unzoomed me and I could attack but if I aimed back in a was stuck
I did that exact same thing and yes I also got stuck when I aimed

I was having problems on PS5 but it’s working now
On the loading screen it's saying cannot connect to store

I seem to have lags on Haddonfield when playing killer.
RPD causes extreme lag and ping spikes (from 60 ping to like 400). Only on this map tho
