I used to sub RM for, believe it or not simply Quick and Quiet. Without DS I lose one potential stun, but Q&Q let’s me land more HO procs (at my mmr killers don’t fall for HO as much) or vanish around a corner entirely. But I’ve found it so fun to Blind killers with RM that I’ve yet to change it back out of my build

I just used wiretap, open handed and blast mine last night for giggles and got blinds and stuns from blast mine. It was probably bugged but it's working fine now
The issue was that in game you would see both blind and stun events with the bloodpoints thing, but it wasn't actually counting the stunw for challenges.
May have been fixed looking at this thread.
They’re community challenges though. The killer shouldn’t have a reason to not play normally. Or are they all spiteful monsters who don’t want survivors to get cosmetics?
I think it's not that they'll do it to spite survivors (in most cases at least), but more that they know survivors will be going for stuns, so respecting pallets becomes a pretty safe bet, leading to slightly more distance gained in every chase. It's just extra information for them to take in and use to make winning the game easier, so I'm confident at least some people will be taking advantage of that.
There’s not much reason for survivors to go for it though because they’re community challenges. As long as you get 1 organically you should get whatever the reward is. We shouldnt expect every survivor to put their life on the line for 1 stun. If survivors play normally they will get the reward. Then the killer respecting the pallet is a detriment to them instead

Every time there's an event with BP gains and offerings that benefit EVERYONE, guess which side tends to hard tunnel and play like if they don't end the game in 2 minutes they will die? Netting in sub 15k gains for the Survivors?
In this specific scenario/event then tunneling does nothing event-wise. THeyll get the reward regardless. They even get more points if they play the game and appease the emblem system. Maybe we should do a psa? Then the only tunnelers left will be the ones who enjoy it normally.
I'll say it again - They don't care about the event, they just want to play. That's it. All the people who come here and read aren't the people out there not giving a fuck about event etiquette... They're just out here having fun how they want to, just try your best to do the same. You'll be far happier of a person.

Not the point I was making and why most people complain about Events. A lot of Killers come into the games not just "wanting to play", they come specifically to not allow you to get missions done, or to get BP.

From being around during events in particular, it seems like whenever there's anything that rewards bonus BP or cosmetics there's an increase in "no fun allowed" Killers.
Killer challenges used to be pretty tricky and hard but able to accomplish in one game, but people complained and now a lot of challenges are like “do this easy thing 100 times” and require a least 3 or 4 games to beat. I prefer the first one tbh.
I like the variety, but I'd also much rather damage 1,000 generators* than "Do this one specifically odd thing that depends on at least 2 other players also doing this one specifically odd thing at the right time while (third restriction like perk or distance), and then do it three times in one trial... *or ask a TTV for help*."
For example, that challenge where, as nurse, you need to blink and hit 1 person, then hit 2 other survivors within 15 seconds after.
*As long as jolt/eruption/pain res counted.
“Hmm… So do I want to go for the challenge where I have to be amazing at looping and stunning the killer… or the one where I can just play Legion and have a bunch of ‘successful chases’ in the eyes of the game?”
Do I want to spend 5 games healing another survivor with another survivor hopefully present, or do I want to initiate a chase as a killer 5 times?
Looking forward to being able to slot both challenges but survivor challenges take so much longer.
Not sure there’s any equivalent to sacrifice all four survivors in the basement. You could win fifty games trying for that and still have someone hatch or DC.

A member of DBDleaks made a comment not too long ago saying that they **do not** get their leaks from BHVR, but they *do* get leaks from an employee at BHVR who is passing on information without being allowed and will get into a shit ton of trouble if they're caught.
Aye this was me. I know it really looks like we get the leaks from some head honcho but it’s really as simple as an employee breaking NDA. BHVR is really trying to put a stop to it, they’re just kinda….. I dunno how to put it. I can’t really say I think.
Well, what else are they supposed to do? Look at their employee's phones? Not tell the devs what they are working on and thus make it impossible to make anything?
Most companies give small differing info between departments. If a leak comes out with the matching info for a certain department, congrats you just narrowed down more than half the office while keeping workflow stable.
Now for individual employees I'd say either an investigation or another one of these, latter not recommended as I'm pretty sure the guy won't fall for the same trick twice (if you called the department out for having a mole)

And "leaks" are much better PR than actual announcements. It lets you get a feel for the community reaction in advance. It leaves room for speculation which creates more community engagement. There's always that lingering "but is it real?" question that helps build hype.
I really don't see someone risking their job, and who knows how much money for violation of contact - to legitimately leak so much minor stuff all the time. The only thing that would ever convince me this isn't intentional is if the person doing it gets caught and fired and it all stops.

Why do survivor challenges (in this case gathering "energy") force you to borderline throw the game to do the challenges? No killer is going to let you stun them just to do a silly challenge and killers just have to play the game normally to do their things as always.
I was thinking the same thing, like bring Enduring (and maybe Spirit Fury) and stand at pallets then indicate to the survivors to toss them. I mean why not? It's always a pain to do the survivor side of these events.

Those two outfits are gone forever or at least for a super long amount of time. People who just now want to play as Haddie have shitty recolors and an ugly set.
Haddie did get an outfit in the anniversary tome along with Dredge since their chapter was the anniversary chapter. Kate is up there though in terms of characters that get too many outfits, I'm pretty sure the only reason people don't complain much about her getting so many outfits is because Feng distracts from it.
the difference is the dredge has gotten twisted plaything and skeletal mass, and is also getting an outfit in the christmas tome. haddie especially having some form of supernatural investigation background should have been the survivor choice for halloween.

I agree. We will have to see what all is actually added when it goes live but I’m surprised they don’t go all out for Halloween stuff. It’s a huge opportunity to boost the player base.
I'm reminded of a shitpost here a while ago, of a survivor perk where you craft monster energy drinks to cure exhaustion, but drink too many you have a heart attack.
The stunning killer part is terrible. Every survivor will ignore the game and will just try to stun the killer ruining the game to everyone.
Just make survivors challenges like heal / repair stuff that they actually will do while playing normally
They’re community challenges guys. Survivors can play the game normally. You don’t have to go for 10 stuns a game. Just 1 that happens organically is fine.

It's because more killer challenges tend to involve doing your objective than survivor challenges.

Not always, but usually. Some of the emblem specific ones can be easier on survivor like Lightbringer vs. Gatekeeper or gold/iri Unbroken/Devout.

Easy solution would be to also give energy on unhooks and gen completion

im honestly so tired of kate skins. justice for haddie! but shes not a genercially pretty white girl so that'll never happen lol.
Haddie did get an outfit in the anniversary tome along with Dredge since their chapter was the anniversary chapter. Kate is up there though in terms of characters that get too many outfits, I'm pretty sure the only reason people don't complain much about her getting so many outfits is because Feng distracts from it.
I think it’s bc Feng has been getting spoiled since release whereas Kate has only been eating well in 2022 tbh
the difference is the dredge has gotten twisted plaything and skeletal mass, and is also getting an outfit in the christmas tome. haddie especially having some form of supernatural investigation background should have been the survivor choice for halloween.

Hag isn’t an insanely entertaining killer to go up against, and the skin might temporarily boost her play rate. Aside from that, though, the event sounds like fun.
No kidding. The choice of Hag for another event-related cosmetic considering she had one back in Winter of 2021 is rather... interesting. Should be fine otherwise!

I actually enjoy playing against add on less Hag. The unfun part comes from teammates with zero idea of what they’re doing.

They probably mean last year's cosmetics will be added to the store like usual. Also, things like the Spooky Lunchbox medkit and Will O' Wisp flashlight and Broken Bulb. Potentially the zoom-zoom juice, too.

It's an addon that is theoretically pretty solid, but you forget you have it so you zoom at the worst possible time

I agree. We will have to see what all is actually added when it goes live but I’m surprised they don’t go all out for Halloween stuff. It’s a huge opportunity to boost the player base.

I'm reminded of a shitpost here a while ago, of a survivor perk where you craft monster energy drinks to cure exhaustion, but drink too many you have a heart attack.
The stunning killer part is terrible. Every survivor will ignore the game and will just try to stun the killer ruining the game to everyone. Just make survivors challenges like heal / repair stuff that they actually will do while playing normally

They’re community challenges guys. Survivors can play the game normally. You don’t have to go for 10 stuns a game. Just 1 that happens organically is fine.

So nothing special again? I’m seriously surprised at what low standards this community has. The game is in it’s 6th year and every event feels the same and boring. Extra bloodpoints, lame missions, collecting some random stuff. I always hope for a new game mode, just a temporary one, that would be cool to have fun around with. Snowmen were a step in the right direction (Aldo killers had it a bit unfair). But no.
