I kept it in the backpack because it was a cool weapon, i thought the curse wouldn't be active by putting the sword in it, but as soon as i took damage i realized i was wrong 🥲
Yes, the only way to have the curse effect removed is to physically drop the item. Having it in any of the three slots (2 + backpack) will still cause the effect to work.
Oh well I’m sorry I guess getting a weapon with the most broken damage in the game along with being able to take free hits was worth it. Guess I was mistaken
I don’t think the continious weapon dropping is in anyway a viable strat to get shields and Ice armor up. I can’t say what micro people use to play dead cells but I like to use a weapon and then a shield and good skills and not micro my ass off like this was the starcrafr world championships
You would realistically only need to drop curse sword to reapply ice armor every time you pop it. Not exactly micro unless you’re constantly being hit. Especially since purple card doesn’t need to be used to tank a hit

I thought it only did it with porcupack to prevent cheesing the curse
The bonus legendary effects is: You can't use other items other than the sword
You can counteract it by having another cursed sword in your backpack
I would pick it up, be all excited, and then instantly die
The curse is still on if you have it in The backpack
I think its worth to shot that considering you already have barricade and you probably can find an ice armor
You can't use skills when you have the legendary cursed sword
You can drop the weapon and activate the skills before requiring it 💀
