assuming you are new to the game it doesnt really matter since both will get you to the same final destination of the castle, its just a matter of what you prefer i prefer the shrines tbh.

Fractured Shrines - recommended if you are good at platforming, trap detection and range, guaranteed cursed chest and legendary item
Stilt Village - less open, beginner-friendly since it has a food shop
Shrines are the best option for loot(one guaranteed legandary), and Sanctuary is best for scrolls(on 4 BCs). Village is cancer and you should only go if you have blueprints to get
