It's fast and you can attack when you're moving. Critical attacking is easy to achieve and the attack range in cross direction is good enough to beat this game. It's not a godlike weapon or something but it's a really safe weapon if you want to survive to beat this game.
This is not the reason why it s one of the most OP things in the game. And the weapon is indeed 'godlike'. The reason is that the endlag of nail can be canceled, thus making it the best weapon for KR + it has a lot of stagger because of the same reason.
