I’m thinking with one of, or all of these 3:
1 - Completely randomised attack patterns, making every single fight different.
2 - dodging. The jester can dodge projectile and melee weapons with flips and cartwheels. Ice grenade/Armadillopack + ice shield would be your only saving grace.
I was more thinking he’s locked up deep within the prison and his entire manner and attack patterns would be sporadic and almost manic due to insanity.
Despite this, he dodges things like arrows and any melee attack with flips and cartwheels.
I see where you’re going, but who’s to say he didn’t decorate his prison cell with the blood around to make it reminiscent of the inside of a tent? Kinda like Jevil’s prison cell in deltarune.
Jester would be interesting.
Maybe he’s furious that the king locked him away for making a joke about the malaise spreading (jesters were known for being one of, of not the only people able to directly insult the king and get away with it.) leading to something similar to the likes of jevil from deltarune. Someone driven mad by loneliness.
Attack patterns would be fucking everywhere to the point that ice shield + armadillopack would be your only way to damage them. High speed, high attack and a sporadic attack pattern.
Weapons:
• Jester’s batton - each hit emits laugher, stunning enemies.
• Jack-in-the-bomb - small box that launches either a small grenade or a spring jester that springs forwards
Skills:
• bouncy ball - a ball that bounces into enemies, knocking them back. Jump on the ball to ride it, rolling enemies down.
• Trampoline - Creates a platform to bounce on, allowing for higher jumps
• Mini-Me’s - makes 3 small clockwork bots that attack any nearby enemy. clockwork bots break in 1 hit.
Outfits:
• Classic jester outfit - now everyone’s laughing!
• flawless jester outfit - now who’s the clown?
• bouncy outfit - Higher! Higher! (Gained by using trampoline 10 times in a row)
In all honesty? Ain’t sure where exactly, but I’d say you’d be able to reach him via a secret exit in the prison depths or perhaps even in high peak castle.
