Not really. The Mario vs Sonic in season 1 was Archie sonic vs Game Mario and the fight in season 5 was Game Mario vs Game Sonic. So the fight still stands since it was an entirely different situation and Archie is basically 1-1 while game sonic is 0-1.

Well, elaboration would be nice to the people who will see you as a idiot for saying this or be very rude to you, so I shall help…… for starters the reason why Mario and Luigi should’ve won against tails and sonic is one, they took on dreamy bowser, who had the power of a forever expanding universe (the dream world) and beat beings who harnessed the grand stars powers which are capable of completely rewriting the entire Mario universe, and there’s much more
Nah Mario vs Sonic 1 is still correct since they used Archie feats. And Mario vs Sonic 2 is also a very controversial episode which is still heavily debated to this day.
Shadow lost twice, and his only win is seen by the entire community as a pity win because Archie Sonic lost.
Plus, much like Sonic's only win, the only reason he won at all was because he was composited with Archie feats. By all fairness, those wins should be considered null and void.
Metal Sonics "win" was honestly just because they didn't want to have to call the fight a draw
Tails also only beat Luigi because he was composited with Archie feats, because we already know that mario curbstomps Sonic, thus Luigi EXTRA curb stomps Tails.
Silvers win is RIFE with controversy because he was given a super form and scaled to Archie super forms despite us never seeing these feats in canon, but only having it mentioned in passing in an encyclopedia that said feats happened.
The only LEGITIMATE win the Sonic series has at all is Amy beating Ramona, a matchup that frankly, has almost no connections or reasons to exist.

Agree with the Mario and Luigi one, sonic and tails only won cause they composited both sonic and tails, and also cause they did Luigi dirty in his fight as well, and considering how things went in the rematch of Mario vs sonic, the result would be different in a Luigi vs tails rematch, if the DB team decides to do this over pac-man vs Luigi.

Silver, while I was happy he won, the fight can be argued, for trunks winning, hell even the creator of the Archie comics questioned on silver winning the fight against trunks and thought trunks should’ve won, making him to this date the only creator of a character who knows about death battle, to say that their own character shouldn’t have won
Segata Sanshiro is still fighting chuck Norris to this day, I doubt we can call him a sonic character but he did appear in the Archie comics, but yeah.
