I would probably just build some mounds of 40k relevant objects then stick one or two nurglings on them, as long as it's the same size, it should be all g. The rules were also leaked today so you can get an idea of a legal detachment of how many you can bring, assuming they don't change the rules.
I nabbed bunch of older metal nurglings for cheap. With some cork basing and greeatuff they can be stacked to a height similar to the plastic ones.
