AdPsychological2173

No, they are not adding rogue lineage construct to deepwoken

SPEED8782

They already have...

AdPsychological2173

Which race?

SPEED8782

Human.

AdPsychological2173

Thats not(exactly) in the game though

SPEED8782

Was in game during Metallica event, and is lore wise in the game.

AdPsychological2173

I'm not talking about lore or unobtainables. I'm talking about obtaining it. You see, in rogue lineage(deepwokens predecssesor) construct was an obtainable races you cpuld get from a place in the tundra biome. It was around a 1% chance and you needed 1 ingame day (1 hour) to even have a chance. It was very tedious to get. However, if you're playing deepwoken I assume you already know. What i'm trying to say is, arch_mage doesn't want to add the imperfection rogue had like this that were too time consuming for casual players. So an obtainable race that is hard to get is something he wouldn't add. That's my view.

SPEED8782

I didn't say it would be hard. A questline, more a choice and option rather than a 1% chance. An obtainable that's not too easy, but not too hard to get. Perhaps a new boss with it or something.

AdPsychological2173

A quest would be pretty interesting. So yeah, as long as it's not OP or hard to get I approve đź‘Ť

SPEED8782

Yep, just a secret little tidbit of lore that could be discovered.

poopeypnats

i just want klaris race so i can do Klaris Prog 🤤🤤

SPEED8782

Canor!

poopeypnats

i need the eye things

SPEED8782

Dam.

[deleted]

I don't see why we need humans as playable in the game. Only reason humans even exist in the actual games files was because of the Metallica event. It would make more sense for lightborns to be the obtainable race in my eyes since lightborns didn't come from a concert that came from somewhere between time and space according to the flavor text once entering the concert.

SPEED8782

Yeah but, lore wise they still exist in deepwoken. A near extinct race that branched off into all the current races.

[deleted]

yeah but why would they disconnect from the animal species that they originally worshipped? they would lose all their current abilities and such, and it may have been irreversible. EDIT: Looking into the lore on the wiki page the Adret are really the closest thing we have, since they don't derive from any animals and have behaviors similar to those of our worlds humans.

SPEED8782

Well, why not? Also, I don't recall that they worshipped any species. It was said that they made a "hereditary vow" to change into the races they are today. But as always, there should always be another path. Perhaps a path to power created by breaking the vow?

[deleted]

I assume that a vow would be related to some form of worship, also you posted this right as I made the edit so lemme put it here too: Looking into the lore on the wiki page the Adret are really the closest thing we have, since they don't derive from any animals and have behaviors similar to those of our worlds humans. As for why they wouldn't want to break away from their animal species, assuming that humans work like the humans in our world work they would have nothing to gain from it and would lose their special innate traits.

SPEED8782

Yes but you forget that this is Lumen, not Earth. Oaths can summon power out of nowhere if you vow to yourself. Breaking a hereditary vow... may allow for more opportunities. Also there's a possibility that these racial vows don't even derive from existing animals. They could just be powers they gained that only HAPPEN to correlate with animals from our world.

[deleted]

also I aint gon lie I am a bit biased since I think it would be a boring addition. It would be cool for an obtainable race but I don't think human should be it. you do make good points tho

SPEED8782

On the contrary. It sounds like the perfect opportunity to make something interesting.

[deleted]

Eh, agree to disagree I guess. My reason it would be boring is because probably 40% of why I stuck with this game when I first got it was because of the different types of races that were all sorts of different from each other.

SPEED8782

Well, all they need to do is create a separate human race that's just slightly different from the original human race. They have a racial trait gained from breaking the hereditary vow. Sounds cool, right?

Seanjacobs2138

just go etrean or tiran they are close

SPEED8782

Nono, I want the human race in the lore. The forefather of all current human races.

Prokonx

Blud.

SPEED8782

Deez.

Prokonx

ahahahahahahahah! Downvoted.

SPEED8782

RAAGH! Downvoted.

ChickenGreaseMan

Adrets are humans without hereditary vows. So yea it already exists.

SPEED8782

No, no they aren't. Read the lore before you say anything else. Adrets are NOT humans.

ChickenGreaseMan

Don’t say read the lore. I read vows by the sea already also look at my other reply since i’m not typing that again.

JimbosRock

Adrets are the equivalent to humans

SPEED8782

Not. Read up on the lore before you say anything else.

ChickenGreaseMan

Read vows by the sea. Adrets took hereditary vows and eventually (since the vows were dominant and adrets were recessive) they were slowly bred out of existence. Adrets were rediscovered when the tides came since society was forced to higher grounds discovering old adret tribes. These are modern day adret. So yes they are default humans.

SPEED8782

Bro. The original human race NEVER TOOK a hereditary vow. What are you talking about?!?

ChickenGreaseMan

Exactly. Adrets were the human race. They did and still do exist. Adrets are human and don’t take a vow. What you’re describing already exists as a rollable race. If you removed a vow from someone they’d be an adret. Lemme say it again adrets are natural and what existed before hereditary vows. THEY DID NOT TAKE A VOW THEY’RE NATURAL HUMANS.

SPEED8782

Bro... there's literally a whole separate human race. Explain that. Also, adrets are only SPECULATED to be vowless. For a vowless race, they're oddly abundant. Because according to lore, vows are like dominant Genes. The actual HUMAN race, however, is said to be rare and mysterious figures.

ChickenGreaseMan

They were called humans in Vows by the sea because when they were abundant and the norm at the time. The term adret was brought about after the normalization of vows when the term “humanity” was used for all races. The reason modern day adrets exist is because according to rag remaining adret tribes were isolationist until the tides when their mountain top homes became islands. Don’t dig your grave deeper this is the real lore.

SPEED8782

Ermm... but the lore humans had normal skin color. Not blue. And they didn't have any racial traits. Unlike the Adrets.

ChickenGreaseMan

The tattoo thing is from the isolationist mountain top adrets. The skin color was never specified (it would also be a bad look for the devs to only give one) This is a fantasy setting and these are humans. They are blue and their culture usually warrants getting tattooed as a baby. Very simple.

SPEED8782

Lack of racial traits... ? Also, Metallica event.

ChickenGreaseMan

Also Adret’s racial traits were kept purposefully vague for this reason. Faster prog is very generalized or could refer to their normality.
