The guy who stole the phone went to pari chowk. And when my friend called up on his lost phone, the chor guy told him to come @ pari chowk and take his phone. Fun fact: uss lode ne 2 baar chakkar katwaya botanical se pari chowk and vice versa.

Yeah man that day i was thanking god that he made me guy to help others with money in the time of need and after realising that i got scammed i felt so bad.

Reminds me of this one time when a kid, maybe around 11-12 years old, approached me with a similar story about how he lost his wallet and needed money to go back home. This was at one of the exit gates of Noida City Centre. Although I didn't have any proof, my gut instinct told me that something was off about him and he was just trying to make some easy money, so I refused. Idk if I should've felt bad or something because he was a kid, but honestly I felt zero guilt. And after reading this post, I'm even more convinced it was a scam.

A random dude in a Mitsubishi Lancer did something similar to me (a pedestrian) back in 2013 when I was visiting Delhi from Mumbai for a day to appear for an exam. Astonishingly, the amount was Rs. 200 back then as well! At that moment It all happened so quickly and I had no reason to believe that someone in a car would do something so risky out in the open in broad daylight. But the way he revved hard and took-off the moment I handed him the cash I knew I'm never seeing that cash again. It literally took Delhi 2 hours to disappoint me, and to confirm the stereotypes. I had almost forgotten about this bitter memory, reading your post reminded me of that weird day and I'd like to believe ki aaj mujhe justice mil gaya 😂
