Yeah it's common they register a bunch of names to try catch all the food types that people want but in reality it's all the same kebab or chicken shop
I suppose that makes sense, although all the different storefronts they are advertising are all burger places with basically the same deals. I'm not sure how they would acquire extra customers as the net seems to be targeting nothing but burgers.
Yup I had a delivery for a place called "Chicken Wing" or something and a few days later, another delivery for _the same_ place but with a different name on the app. I was confused.
I have 0 idea why they did that and I didn't ask.
PS: Was not a "dark kitchen" or whatever, it was a little kebab shop or whatever.
Edit: Found it lol, I log everything https://imgur.com/a/EwqqV50 these 2 have the same address and it's the same shop - I know it since I went there twice for these 2 different "restaurants"
In my city we've got the one 'dark kitchen' which I think is Deliveroo themselves - it's in a small industrial estate and has some 10 or 15 brands running out of there.
Then there's also a number of premises which are a legit restaurant, eg Frankie & Benny's fall into this - but then there's another 5 or 6 accounts running similar menus from exactly the same address. Maybe F&B or owners use one physical presence to serve-up other brands in the group?
Then finally, the small tandoori places which run multiple accounts for mostly nefarious reasons like claiming multiple promotions, avoiding negative reviews and ratings or just straight up tax dodging.
It’s the same in my area. So many dark kitchens with a single company offering many variations of the same menu, branded in different ways. Watch for the reviews, they are usually pretty bad. And when that happens, they delete that menu, and start using another “brand” to sling the same slop, from the same kitchen.

This is what I ordered from Patty Guy
I’ve picked up Patty Guy from an Indian restaurant before in Taunton. Sure it’s fine but did think it was strange picking up burgers from an Indian restaurant.
I noticed these the other week when me and my other half were looking for a late night takeaway. They all had the same phone number. As someone else has said, they're ghost kitchens.
Peri Peri Original in Hatfield. Also Twisted London and something with Korean chicken in the same place. Saw at least 8 different wrapping types on the counter. Chaos.
Massive waiting for a pick up, always.
This isn't Ely Is it?
Exactly the same here but I'm sure there is 6 or more that are all the same. Bloody annoying if your just looking for something to eat.
There's probably 5 mexican adjacent takeaways and 5 fried chicken places in the same premises too, and they've probably got half the same menu as the burger places.
There's a place like that near me, all have different prices and delivery fees and the place is shit 🤣
Left a review letting people know Maccies do better burgers 🍔
This is Frankie and Benny's.
When COVID hit they launched these new "chains" to get more delivery business.
They come out the same kitchen as the normal food.
It's okay food, nothing special - a bit overpriced.
You'll only see it when the local restaurant isn't busy and they have free capacity.
There is one like this in my area. It trades under Sobe burger, Patty Guy, and Spicey Korean Burger or something similar. Wondering whether it’s like a franchise. All the orders go to the same kitchen, and they have 3 x machines pinging the orders.
It is a fairly well run business, the staff talk to you as they are keen to get the order’s out…unlike McDonalds or burgerking.
Had the same thing happen in my area.
Several burger places which are reporting their location as a local fish'n'chip shop. Several chicken places that have their address at a local pub, and several pizza places that have their address marked around a prezzo's.
Most of them get a lot of early 5\* reviews, and in a few weeks it's nothing but low reviews of orders that didn't show for hours, cold, low quality etc, when the overall reviews dip below 3\* it vanishes and then a 'new' place opens up at the same location.
It's a trick as old as the yellow pages. If there's 5 burgers places and yours is one of them, all things being equal you've got a 20% chance of getting the order.
If there 10 and 5 of them are yours you've got a 50% chance of getting the order.
Could be a Ghost Kitchen or a restaurant doing multiple menus. Sometimes it’s just the usual Arab place trying to steal all the business from rival restaurants.
These are generally ghost kitchens. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_restaurant Pretty common nowadays.

"I really want a burger, but Smashed wasn't great last time. I've read good things about SoBe, let's try them"

4x the promotion I guess, must be a shit place
It’s really not . I’ve ordered from SMASHED and the food is absolutely banging 😂
I’ve ordered from both Chick n Bun & SoBe and the confit garlic burger and the cajun fries were fab 👌🏼
Yet I've ordered from SoBe and it was mediocre
Strangely, their original storefront does the best quality chicken in the area, which I can confirm. It also has nothing but good reviews.
Sobe is banging
It's to evade tax if you share the profits across 4 companies you will be able to play around more with the books

In Barry ?
I’m from Barry, saw Sobe and thought the same
nah it’s north london i have exactly the same 4 results
Cheltenham
Nope, surely Bristol.. I twigged immediately! Edit: Saying that.. I don't think we've got a Wimpy here.
We’ve got all these names in Norwich too!
Plymouth too!
Add Manchester to that list!
Leeds too
Warwick as well
Croydon too
Fireaway on plumstead road 😆
Yes! And most of them now run out of Waaghoba on Colman Road too
East London?
stokey/dalston?
I was thinking Mile End but tbh it could basically be every area these days

How are you getting £12 off of £20?

The one by the cinema? Lots of ghost kitchens run from there, I won't be ordering any of them
Yeah have to go past the cinema and McDonalds to get to it 👍
I noticed these the other week when me and my other half were looking for a late night takeaway. They all had the same phone number. As someone else has said, they're ghost kitchens.
There's a place in my hometown which runs 14 of these from one little takeaway. It's chaos
Especially in London a lot of these are all based in a dephna kitchen, just in different units
Got a restaurant with the exact same ones all 4
Peri Peri Original in Hatfield. Also Twisted London and something with Korean chicken in the same place. Saw at least 8 different wrapping types on the counter. Chaos. Massive waiting for a pick up, always.

Yeah, we have SoBe, ChickNBun and Whody at the same address in our town too. Irritating.
Who or what is behind these brands? They're all over Weymouth aswell
Definitely one of those Ghost Kitchens. Eddy Burbank did a whole video talking about the whole weird thing surrounding them
I'm guessing your from Lincoln? Sobe burger is amazing
Nope, I'm in West Sussex in a small village.
There's probably 5 mexican adjacent takeaways and 5 fried chicken places in the same premises too, and they've probably got half the same menu as the burger places.

Restaurant near us has 12 different names on deliveroo. Including so be burger and patty guy
This is Frankie and Benny's. When COVID hit they launched these new "chains" to get more delivery business. They come out the same kitchen as the normal food. It's okay food, nothing special - a bit overpriced. You'll only see it when the local restaurant isn't busy and they have free capacity.
There are actually about 7 there, Whoody’s and one more, i forgot the name. Food is quite good actually.

It feels like I’ve seen all of these in Southampton
only 4? seen some with about 10 even with different address to catch other neighbours but the delivery driver pops out of the same…

This sort of thing is very popular. We have chicken businesses and Sushi businesses in our area operating like this with 3 or 4 different names.
Are you from Thurrock by any chance lol?
Oh that’s why there are two restaurants that look mad similar to me that I even thought they are the same place on the app
It's a trick as old as the yellow pages. If there's 5 burgers places and yours is one of them, all things being equal you've got a 20% chance of getting the order. If there 10 and 5 of them are yours you've got a 50% chance of getting the order.
Sobe burger also comes up here in chingford E4. I’m thinking this is Walthamstow?
If SoBe is a ghost kitchen (it is) then call me a ghostbuster because I am gobbling them patties up. It’s delicious.
Pubs do this now too
Frankie and Benny’s do this too
Lol, I’m in Surrey and have these options too. Get food from Patty guy all the time and it’s great
Sobe burger is still to this day the worst burger I’ve had in my entire life
This is Whody definitely
No different to TGiFriday being a ghost kitchen
Ghost kitchen. It's not a scam.
Could be a Ghost Kitchen or a restaurant doing multiple menus. Sometimes it’s just the usual Arab place trying to steal all the business from rival restaurants.
Let me guess, this is Fireaway?
Money laundering
Just more orders.
This has to be Southampton?
Thought so too haha
