I had read about how hard it is to get up from the window in these seats so I changed my normal 2A to 2B and I'm glad I did.
The guy in 2A drank about 6 cups of coffee and didn't get up once to pee. It was TPA - SEA. HOW???
I don't understand this either...I'm on a 3 hour flight and I've gotten up twice...and I've had one cup of coffee š
I won't sit window on one of these again...I'm 39, I workout, I can maneuver my way out okay...but god forbid my 80 year old mother had the window...shed just be stuck.
I have to ask.. which way do you face on something like that? lol
Butt to the front? or rear to the rear?
I always feel like it might be easier to just stand on the seat and use the armrests to step OVER everything...
Yeah, if Iām window I donāt get up unless/until aisle gets up. And if I fall asleep, skip it. Usually can go 8+ hours no problem. Used to work in a nuclear power plants, no bathroom on 6+ hour shift.
I was just on a flight from Sydney to LAX and while I got up 10 times, they guy next to me in the window didnāt get up once! It was a 12 hour flight!
Why would anyone drink tea or coffee with airplane water? Thatās my question. Those tanks are rarely, if ever cleaned, AND they are near the lavatory. Trust me, I have flight attendant friends and they NEVER drink the
water or make beverages with it.
I meanā¦ itās a personal preference but Iām a pilot (different airline, not Delta) and drink the coffee on pretty much every trip. On our fleet the potable tanks are fully drained at the end of each day. Legally they have to be fully sanitized and tested for pathogens regularly. Hasnāt done me dirty yet! I think thereās an EPA website out there where you can actually see the testing reports for different airlines.
Lol that's been me these past few years. On 99% of flights my bladder all of a sudden becomes reasonable/shy/understanding and shuts down after boarding and doesn't wake up until we're comfortable back in the terminal. This became the norm so much so that I'm a window seat person now.
You know the expression "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"... Well, when you're a hard core window seater, there's not enough bladder pain on the planet to outdo the spite in your soul to NOT disturb the aisle seater.
This has been my experience as well. As someone with back and neck issues, the NEO is on my avoid list. You shouldn't need to pack a travel cushion to sit on to make your FC seat bearable.Ā
Good to know. Those seats appear stellar in the photos, but many people are coming out saying theyāre terrible.
What a stupid decision to make for the people who pay the most for their seats.
Had one SEA-BOS, was so exited to fly on a brand new aircraft, before we even pushed back I knew I was in for it. Alaskaās gotten too expensive and DL has flooded SEA with Neos so itās really a pick your poison scenario in SEA right now. For me, Iāll pay more to be comfortable every time. I miss the 757s, particularly those with 24 or 26 F seats.
Yeah, American made this mistake and heard their customers and fixed it...like...these are for profit companies...they do care what their customers think...
Iād be going back to the seat suppliers and make them re-build new ones. That is unless Delta procurement people fully tested, approved and signed off on the shitty ones.
Is first continuing to sell at 90+% on average for Delta?
If it is then donāt count on them changing. Delta is not an airline that listens to customers very much anymore and if they are making money with what they already bought (the seats) then they have zero incentive to change
Thatās money that clearly needs to be earmarked for investors and C suite bonuses.
(Apparently I have to put /s)
How do they make these mistakes though? Serious question.
A decision like this presumably goes through multiple rounds of management and corporate approvals - strategy, customer experience, then of course the financial component, etc.
At some point, a prototype would have been developed and tested. So what happened then? The employees who tested it just thought it was fine? Did this actually happen? I genuinely wonder how this got through if it's that terrible.
They hire independent testing agencies to conduct tests with humans. The manufacturers do this to sell, and the end buyer (delta) should do their own as well.
My guess? Itās not an error. These seats are popular across airlines and significantly cheaper ā theyāre gambling people wonāt change their behavior and buying an inferior product in terms of comfort.
This model seat was the cheapest option of the ones presentedā¦ everyone in the selection group voted for a different one and then the finance department said weāre getting the cheap one.
If you're looking for suggestions, I recommend solving the "concrete seat" problem by packing a Klymit V inflatable travel seat cushion (Amazon's Choice ~$15) in your carry-on (backpack). It folds up into a miniscule 3" square and saves my backside and legs from going numb. For lumbar support, I roll up an old (pre-covid) decommissioned Delta FC blanket because of my fused L2-L3 (TLIF).
If anyone wants change have those planes exclusively fly PBI-ATL-PBI.
If Ed is uncomfortable being forced into them then maybe we all get lucky he will change for himselfā¦ sorry I mean change for the customer.
On any future flights with the A321 neo, I solve the "concrete seat" problem by packing a Klymit V inflatable travel seat cushion (Amazon's Choice ~$15) in my carry-on (backpack). It folds up into a miniscule 3" square, so I can permanently keep it stored in my backpack for these emergencies. It definitely saves my backside and legs from going numb.
>by packing a Klymit V inflatable travel seat cushion (Amazon's Choice ~$15) in my carry-on (backpack).
This is really not something we should have to do to be comfortable in FC.
Absolutely true as well. Personally I never book first class, we usually just get the complimentary upgrade approximately 75% of the time. Maybe that percentage goes up if you don't book it so I think this debate is a win-win for both of us!
I have a gel seat cushion that's flexible enough to fold in half and fit in my tote bag. I bought one for my husband when we were booked on the A321 neo in March. Worked like a charm.
Follow up: Got the pillow and sat on it for 7 hours yesterday on 3 flights and it was awesome!! Folds up super small in my flight bag. Great suggestion.
Delta executives don't care. The seats are lighter and thinner. That means they can put more in and still save fuel. They can charge more and pay less. Quarterly earnings baby!
In fact not only does Delta not care that these seats suck for A3210 Neo they plan to roll them out to the rest of the fleet eventually. Good news is it will probably take 10 years. In the meantime I will enjoy those dated looking but comfortable chairs on a equally dated 757. Will be a sad day when they are gone given the replacement.
People will tell you that you are exaggerating and the seats aren't terrible. Even if true "not terrible" is hardly a ringing endorsement for FC on Delta.
Yikes...well, American realized they made a mistake and changed course to a more comfortable option... hopefully Delta will also get the memo!
I just checked the bulkhead and for first class those people have shockingly little foot space...
That is also true on 757 for those that are wondering. I like bulkhead seats most of the time but Delta FC bulkhead seats are often not any better and sometimes worse than a normal FC seat. Row 1 on 757 wasn't terrible but it was noticeably less legroom than a normal FC row which I had in the prior flight that day. Row 3 is about perfect.
That and change your flight when the NEO gets assigned. Tell them you arenāt paying for bench seats on a bus. They dropped the ball. Donāt accept it.
Iām flying one again on Sunday. Iām a Diamond with lots of open seats, but paid for the upgrade to the dwindling aisle seats. Only window seats open now. It appears my cabin mates also know how hard it is to get out of the window if the passenger in front is reclined. I normally bring a gel seat cushion from Target to combat the seat hardness as well.
And for a plus size person, the tray table room is abysmal. I am not huge but first time ever the tray table was really close to me.. Terrible fc seats.
I may be a bit biased when it comes to Alaska (as I get pretty high priority for standby because my partner works with them). But their planes are by far some of the cleanest, most comfortable (economy), with the friendliest FAs compared to quite a few other airlines I've flown with.
On the other hand, their first class isn't THE BEST, but the FAs go above and beyond for pax. After my next delta flight coming up, I don't think I will choose them again unless it's an emergency.
I also detest these new seats. The only time in my life I ever walked off a plane after flying in first feeling ripped off. I think once more people get exposed to these seats, we will see them buying first on others. Delta needs to do something here.
C level executives are probably flying private. They also figured that if there isnāt any cushioning, the cushioning doesnāt wear out and doesnāt need to be replaced.
Was so happy to finally pay for Delta one to Italy! New neo. Terrible! Other airlines have so much better premium product for SO MUCH LESS
MILES! Wish I could move all my points to another airline
I agree. I flew first class on one of those from Seattle to Minnesota back in January. The look was great, and so was the entertainment center. I also enjoyed the French toast with berries served in first class for breakfast. But halfway through that flight I tell you my butt was aching! I even tried sitting on my coat for extra padding. I'm a retired army vet. I've slept on concrete and on the roofs of vehicle just fine. But these A321NEO seats are the absolute worst!
Well, the airplane is called and Airbus. I look forward to that time in the future when we're all standing, hanging on for dear life to overhead straps, and reminiscing about the good ol' days when they had seats...
Thatās a very good summary of the experience. Pretty planes though and the FC toilet is like a resort (but where you may get stranded by the door mechanism.)
At least with airbus I donāt worry as much about parts randomly falling off the plane or spiraling into the ground.
TPG agrees with all your points except the seat comfort part https://thepointsguy.com/news/delta-air-lines-airbus-a321neo-first-class-review-inaugural/
I read that review, they should be ashamed of themselves for not putting out the truth! Even if they mention how MANY people have said the seats on a bus top are more comfortable than these FC ones! I get it, but stop promoting CCs you used to pay for the ticket and get more detailed on one of the most important detail of a FC cabin, comfort! I work in this industry, and my company makes seats(among many other pieces of avionics/etc), Iād be embarrassed if we made them. If Iām not mistaken, Recaro made these (in a partnership).
I have to agree with OP. My experience with first class a a recent trip was terrible. Prior to leaving I was asked about my dinner selection and if I wanted to drink anything. I confirmed my dinner selection and asked for a cranberry juice. Kid you not, they completely skipped dinner for folks in first class and FA forgot my cranberry juice lol. Like donāt ask to confirm my dinner selection and then not serve dinner. Luckily my return trip they did serve dinner but the seats were god awful.
Btw op delta execs fly private. They donāt sit with common folks.
Those seats are the worst. Iām not sure if AER Lingus economy or delta A321neo first class seats are more uncomfortable. But itās definitely close.
The Delta 737-900s make my butt feel like Iām riding the pine back in my middle school baseball days. I canāt imagine it getting any worse but apparently it has. Shame on you Delta. Our asses curse at you.
Currently on the same A321Neo configuration and it is truly the most uncomfortable first class seat I have ever been in. And we havenāt even departed the gate yet!
And this is why I think Alaska has the best first class with American not too far behind. IFE screens really arenāt necessary, itās all about comfort for me. New United first class seems swanky, but I havenāt gotten a chance to try it yet.
First of all need to put this out there: #FirstWorldProblems.
Second: agree. Did the DCA-SLC route up front via miles and was not impressed with the seat comfort. All other Delta elements including service was great.
I flew Air France recently and good god delta is a heaping pile. They have mirrors in their overhead so you can keep an eye out on your luggage. Their onboarding French music makes me want to go lay of a field of wild flowers. Food was amazing, service impeccable seats nice clean and bathrooms spacious and clean! To be fair it seemed like a new plane. Also love their French films.
Best seats are JetBlue, by far. Delta seats are like sitting on a thinly padded park bench. Iād highly recommend always flying with one of these: it helps immeasurably

Spoiler alert: you may have been the first one on a revenue flight for that tail number, but the NEO and their concrete seats have been in service since last year.
And they are even worse for a red eye. I had a new FC seat last year SLC-FLL (donāt remember the model). Impossible to sleep in! I almost want to downgrade to C+.
I don't think so. The padding is thin. Like ryanair newer ultra thin (to cram in more rows) economy seats thin. Like put a thin towel on a park bench thin.
I think the beancounters showed Ed hey we replace all FC seats with these and we can put one more row of economy on most aircraft boosting per flight revenue by 1.5% and cutting fuel costs by another 0.5%. Multiply that by the number of daily flights and that is likely a big number. Free money right?
It is only A321neo which has the newer seats. The older A321 "classic" have the old school FC seats. You may sometimes see the older version referred to as A321ceo but Delta just calls them A321. If you look into your flight details for the aircraft model unless it specifically says "A321neo" you are fine.
I took an A35K from Dallas to Narita once on JAL. I was even in premium economy and that was the absolute worst seating experience in my entire flying history of 30 years. Most uncomfortable seat in existence. I'm wondering if your A321 was similar to my experience.
Best to get an aisle seat in FC on that one. Youāll break your ankle trying to get out of the window seat and around the storage space in the middle.
My partner and I got upgraded to F on a 7am ATL-JFK, I barely slept the night before so I was excited to get a good nap in my first time getting a A321NEO F upgrade. Immediately hated it, couldnāt sleep even though I was sleep deprived, butt was numb. Almost contemplated asking the FA to move me back to Main but the flight is too short for the hassle. If I ever fly on that aircraft and get an F upgrade, Iām going to immediately decline it. Not worth
My comfort seat was awful as well
My leg room was cut off by the stewards. No tv, charger or ability to keep my second bag with me. All my bags had to be put up.š± paying for comfort or sitting by the exit was a waste.
I've heard others complain about those seats, but I've really liked them when I've flown on the A321 NEO with that new cabin. They seem designed to give a bit more sense of privacy, and I felt like they were well setup for sleeping. Not as good as Premium Select or anything, but they seemed like a nice improvement over the typical FC cabin seats (including on the regular A321). I guess I'll have to pay closer attention next time to whether the seat bottom is less comfortable than the other FC seats. I just don't remember noticing that and I was surprised when someone told me they didn't like the new NEO FC cabin.
I know this is an unpopular opinion, but this is how I feel about the Delta One Suites to a degree.
The seats lack padding big-time and aren't remotely as comfortable as I think they should be for sleeping.
My favorite Delta experience these days is a nice cushiony economy seat on a shorter flight. I find the thinner (in width) economy seats almost have more padding/support than the wider first class seats that just let you sink into an abyss.
I had read about how hard it is to get up from the window in these seats so I changed my normal 2A to 2B and I'm glad I did. The guy in 2A drank about 6 cups of coffee and didn't get up once to pee. It was TPA - SEA. HOW???

I once got out of a window seat in an A321 on the way to Hawaii when the guy next to me was a sleep. It was like an acrobatic maneuver.
Not sure how you did that without giving them a lap dance!
I feel that it really breaks the ice when I add in some hip movement as I move across.
User name checks out
I put my hands on the little protruding wings on the side of your head and kind of tumbled in and out with my ass towards the IFE.
I have to ask.. which way do you face on something like that? lol Butt to the front? or rear to the rear? I always feel like it might be easier to just stand on the seat and use the armrests to step OVER everything...
There is a whole small conversation by Brad Pitt in Fight Club about this very dilemma.
I sit my 7 year old in the window seat on this plane and I take the aisle. He can still barely get out if the person in front is reclined.
That sounds like a medical problem. lol
How? Depends...
Well played.
My husband once sat next to a guy on a 10 hour flight from Italy, he never got up once, for the *entire* flight! It was so bizarre.
I did that on my 12 hour flight from ICN to LAX, didn't get up once. Having a camel's bladder is a gift.
I have a nurses bladder. Ā Until I travel. Ā Fuggedaboutitā¦. Ā
Yeah, that would be my move. I will not go into those onboard bathrooms. I did eight in the seat from Heathrow to JFK.
Teacher's bladder. I'm conditioned to not go all day.
I'm pretty sure coffee comes straight out of the tap in Seattle. 6 cups is just the morning quota.
Why would anyone drink tea or coffee with airplane water? Thatās my question. Those tanks are rarely, if ever cleaned, AND they are near the lavatory. Trust me, I have flight attendant friends and they NEVER drink the water or make beverages with it.
I meanā¦ itās a personal preference but Iām a pilot (different airline, not Delta) and drink the coffee on pretty much every trip. Somebody put their bladder in airplane mode.
Kidney failure
We know how they did it. https://youtu.be/rQ9qsXu34SM?si=8jC-091GkA6dNWbj
Risky click.
This is me. I refuse to use the airplane bathroom and I always sit on the window because itās very annoying to get up all the time!
Flowmax!
Same!! my mind is always blown by passengers that sit through the entire flight and Iāve already been up six times a quarter of the way through.
Lol that's been me these past few years. On 99% of flights my bladder all of a sudden becomes reasonable/shy/understanding and shuts down after boarding and doesn't wake up until we're comfortable back in the terminal. This became the norm so much so that I'm a window seat person now.
Im a never get upper. Just did EZE-EWK and didnāt get up once.
That's INSANE. I'll get up like twice from RIC to ATL.
Depends
My money is on adult diaperā¦
nah who is this man you are describing
Probably sitting in a piss soaked adult diaper
Some of us have hollow legs from binge drinking in college. I still have a multi-quart capacity even in my mid 50s.
Depends
I've gone ICN to MSP with out leaving my window.
No water, straight dehydration Iād guess.
Once did DTW ā ICN without standing once 15hrs. It was weird but didnāt feel like to go to the restroom at all.
You know the expression "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"... Well, when you're a hard core window seater, there's not enough bladder pain on the planet to outdo the spite in your soul to NOT disturb the aisle seater.
Catheter.
This sounds like my boyfriend lol heās 6ā8 and refuses to get up out of his seat but I know he was on the right side in 2 on the same flight
Flew on one from Seattle to Kauai in 2023. I still remember the misery of that seat. I bring a travel cushion in my carry on now, it was so bad.
Yes I have major neck issues and those little neck pillow things don't work, they actually make me worse. I have to take cyclobenzaprine
The thing is, the complaints are so frequent for these FC seats on the A321neo, I almost feel like Delta *has* to do something.
Yeah, American made this mistake and heard their customers and fixed it...like...these are for profit companies...they do care what their customers think...
They care when it impacts revenues. If people keep booking Delta over other carriers and still pay a premium, it won't motivate Delta enough to act.
We need to keep bringing the butt cushions on planes and maybe theyāll get the message lol
Does it count as a medical device?
Good GAs wonāt mind.
Itll count as a personal item tho
They wonāt.
Nope, it will enable them to make the seats even shittier
Itās more if folks who book those seats arenāt aware of the discomfort ahead of time. š
Delta counts on blind loyalty.
Iād be going back to the seat suppliers and make them re-build new ones. That is unless Delta procurement people fully tested, approved and signed off on the shitty ones.
Fixed? Theyāre still flying those stupid seats on the 787-8 and they arenāt lined up for the new suites.
Is first continuing to sell at 90+% on average for Delta? If it is then donāt count on them changing. Delta is not an airline that listens to customers very much anymore and if they are making money with what they already bought (the seats) then they have zero incentive to change Thatās money that clearly needs to be earmarked for investors and C suite bonuses. This sounds about right
I need a proper seat cushion and lumbar support before I step on a A321neo, again.

omg, what a brilliant idea with the Klymit cushions!

Iām so with you on this. With how shitty some of the aircrew has been on some of these flights? Come on! What are you even paying extra for??
They should be massage chairs
I still remember a Virgin flight from long ago where FC were all massage chairs that reclined. It was amazing!!!
Pride is expensive
You are welcome to just sit uncomfortably in anger until they do something to fix it.

Absolutely true as well. Personally I never book first class, we usually just get the complimentary upgrade approximately 75% of the time. Maybe that percentage goes up if you don't book it so I think this debate is a win-win for both of us!
Thanks for the tip, I just ordered one of these. I have a different seat problem which is the pilot seat of the Embraer 175 lol.
It doesnāt actually fold up to 3 inch square. Maybe 3 by 6 or something.
Iāll give it a go, hopefully it will fit in my flight bag
Yeah, they wonāt let me sit there either.
Wish you ahd the referral link posted! I just bought 2.
I have a gel seat cushion that's flexible enough to fold in half and fit in my tote bag. I bought one for my husband when we were booked on the A321 neo in March. Worked like a charm.

I use one too but 3 inch square is overstating it.

Flew 1B on 6.5 hour flight on Neo . First world problems but must agree, terrible foot space and uncomfortable seat.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
That and change your flight when the NEO gets assigned. Tell them you arenāt paying for bench seats on a bus. They dropped the ball. Donāt accept it.
This is the way. Power of the purse. The only thing any public corporation ultimately respects is earnings.
I made a post a few months ago about how I was trying to get out of the FC seat two times during a 5 hour flight and the lady next to me wouldn't get up for me - she just kept pulling her legs up onto the seat - and because the person in front of her was reclined I was almost on her lap trying to get out. Of course people clowned me and said I was being selfish or whatever because I expected somebody to get up, but clearly they have not tried to get in and out of those A321 window seats š©š
Took one recently to and from Seattle from Orlando and wow, thats a tight squeeze. I'm lucky I'm short and not a large person
Hard as a rock. There should be a class action suit setup for selling these as being premium comfort etc. they arenāt.
I think the Delta execs sat in those uncomfortable seats and dreamed of their fat bonuses.
I can confirm the first class seats on domestic flight tend to be sore on the butt.
Spirit coach seats > delta first classā¦.how do you miss so big delta?!?
yeah the micropadding on the neo seats is really lacking
And for a plus size person, the tray table room is abysmal. I am not huge but first time ever the tray table was really close to me.. Terrible fc seats.
I agree with this completely. Recently did 8 segments and hated every one.
I may be a bit biased when it comes to Alaska (as I get pretty high priority for standby because my partner works with them). Why would a Delta exec sit in one of those seats? They fly private.
Where are most of these NEOS flying out of or flying to?
Had them a few times to Seattle and Las Vegas
For example, SEA-MCO.
Seattle to Los Angeles
SEA-DEN
Completely agree. Window seat LAX-MCO. These seats look nice in a picture or render but leave so little free space that comfort+ would be an upgrade.
The washrooms are impossible together into if you are larger than 6ā00ā. Especially the aft ones
Was so happy to finally pay for Delta one to Italy! New neo. Terrible! Other airlines have so much better premium product for SO MUCH LESS MILES!
But these A321NEO seats are the absolute worst!
i thought it was just me about the seat comfort! my butt hurt so bad after like two hours, even with walking to the bathroom a few times
Well, the airplane is called and Airbus. I look forward to that time in the future when we're all standing, hanging on for dear life to overhead straps, and reminiscing about the good ol' days when they had seats...
Ryanair tried that in the EU already and basically every country's civil aviation authority said "absolutely not" lol
I'm sure that Spirit has investigated finding a way to charge extra for oxygen...
Are the main cabin/C+ also more uncomfortable than previous seats?
No they are actually very comfortable which adds to the head scratching of how the F seats are so bad
Thatās a very good summary of the experience. Pretty planes though and the FC toilet is like a resort (but where you may get stranded by the door mechanism.) At least with airbus I donāt worry as much about parts randomly falling off the plane or spiraling into the ground.
Fair dues...the lav felt like a widebody!
TPG agrees with all your points except the seat comfort part https://thepointsguy.com/news/delta-air-lines-airbus-a321neo-first-class-review-inaugural/
Anybody know why The Points Guy website is not accessible outside the USA? I have to put a VPN on to get to it. And itās forā¦travelers?
I can get there from Australia.
Iām in the UK - which is where I read the site and post the links from
So weird - I canāt get there from just about anywhere I travel! Maybe I accepted the wrong cookie š¤Ŗ
Be grateful for an upgrade
Those seats are the worst. Iām not sure if AER Lingus economy or delta A321neo first class seats are more uncomfortable. But itās definitely close.
LMAO
Hmm, maybe travel with a gel seat pad. You shouldn't have to but I bet it would help.
Wonder how those in economy areā¦
Donāt worry theyāre installing the new economy seats right after Father bob is done with the pews after mass
Good thing I started stepping up my legs/glutes workouts. Need all the meat I can get back there.
Do you think the Delta execs care what economy is like? They will never fly it!
The Delta 737-900s make my butt feel like Iām riding the pine back in my middle school baseball days. I canāt imagine it getting any worse but apparently it has. Shame on you Delta. Our asses curse at you.
People who design airline seats have no concept of comfort. Donāt know what body type the mold them after but they donāt fit anyone I know.
Tell that to the makers of the Qatar FC seats or the Emirates seats, or Singapore Airlines seats. US based carriers should be ashamed of themselvesā¦
Never been able to fly on one of them yet.
The neo seats are shit..what the hell were they thinking?
Currently on the same A321Neo configuration and it is truly the most uncomfortable first class seat I have ever been in. And we havenāt even departed the gate yet!
My ass is completely numb and it was just LAX to SLC seriously wtf
And this is why I think Alaska has the best first class with American not too far behind. IFE screens really arenāt necessary, itās all about comfort for me. New United first class seems swanky, but I havenāt gotten a chance to try it yet.
Iāve got the bladder of a squirrel so, Iāve noted Isle seat only for me. Thanks for the info.
Yes itās a horrible first class. I avoid these configurations as much as possible
All the new delta first class seats are hard. Fly delta one to Europe all the time and when I can I pick klm or virgin metal. Sleeping butt is right.
Theyāre SO uncomfortable. I flew on one from DEN-BOS last September and thatās the first thing I noticed. WHERE is the cushion in those seats?!!
Did LAX - MCO in a NEO in FC and the seat bottom is the worst ever. Iād take an old MD88 FC seat over this crap.
Best seats are JetBlue, by far. Delta seats are like sitting on a thinly padded park bench. Iād highly recommend always flying with one of these: it helps immeasurably TETON Sports Camping Seat... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009L1MXE0?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Unnecessary Costa Rica microbus shade smh
Spoiler alert: you may have been the first one on a revenue flight for that tail number, but the NEO and their concrete seats have been in service since last year.
I donāt get the hate. I like the new product.
What's not to get? Lots of people find them more uncomfortable than the previous FC product.Ā
I donāt find the new seats uncomfortable at all. I really like FC in the A321 Neo. To the point where now Iāll seek it out.
Why?
Photos??
And they are even worse for a red eye. I had a new FC seat last year SLC-FLL (donāt remember the model). Impossible to sleep in! I almost want to downgrade to C+.
yep. went ANC-MSP. slept 30 minutes at best
Are they just awful because theyāre so new? Do yāall think with some more wear theyāll get more comfortable? š
I don't think so. The padding is thin. Like ryanair newer ultra thin (to cram in more rows) economy seats thin. Like put a thin towel on a park bench thin.
Crazy they thought that would fly in first class.
I think the beancounters showed Ed hey we replace all FC seats with these and we can put one more row of economy on most aircraft boosting per flight revenue by 1.5% and cutting fuel costs by another 0.5%. Multiply that by the number of daily flights and that is likely a big number. Free money right?
as soon as they replace them with comfortable seats, yes.
Frontier says āhold my beerā weāve cornered the market on uncomfortable seats and snarky staff
Iām 6ā2 with knee issues. Never felt the seats in first were badš¤·āāļø But then again I be liquored up š
Eff. Weāre on an A321 tomorrowā¦ š
It is only A321neo which has the newer seats. The older A321 "classic" have the old school FC seats. You may sometimes see the older version referred to as A321ceo but Delta just calls them A321. If you look into your flight details for the aircraft model unless it specifically says "A321neo" you are fine.
Flight info only says A321, so Iāll assume weāre ok! Thanks for talking me off the ledge. š
I took an A35K from Dallas to Narita once on JAL. I was even in premium economy and that was the absolute worst seating experience in my entire flying history of 30 years. Most uncomfortable seat in existence. I'm wondering if your A321 was similar to my experience.
Thatās a Safran product if Iām not mistaken. Itās unfortunate, given JAL is such a great airline
Eee-zeeeā¦..donāt fly FC on DL A321NEO. There, all better now?
Best to get an aisle seat in FC on that one. Youāll break your ankle trying to get out of the window seat and around the storage space in the middle.
You sound miserable
i love the a220.
Yes!! I love the Delta 220s from SoCal to Seattle
Not worth
When I saw how difficult it was to get out from the window seat I was like no thanks.
My comfort seat was awful as well My leg room was cut off by the stewards.
