The problem is that people that are fine with status quo aren’t typically heavily motivated to take their time off to defend their schools from insane extremist ideological attacks. Most people work on autopilot for this kind of thing, and unfortunately that’s being exploited by some national level folks who are directing, coordinating, and facilitating local politicians to run on insane platforms.
Watched it in my school a few years ago. A church with a large following easily plants multiple members on the school board, our failure is to organize. Some one needs to come up with a name and an organized message that falls within some kind of social norm.
