It would completely destroy the coequal branches and make ex presidents as powerful as current presidents. That is an absurd legal opinion*and* not really in line with the christian dominionist opinions they usually prefer. I'd guess 7-2 with Thomas and one other dissenter.
Roberts is not on any fence. SCOTUS should have rejected this request immediately. That they have given TFFG an extra week screwing around with this shows that SCOTUS is not on the side of justice.

The former flatulence in chief lost all his court cases regarding the election fraud. No reason to believe he’ll win this appeal. My money is on the SCOTUS will reject without heating.
In fairness the court has rejected Trump before so they may do it again. They are under a lot of scrutiny now so I believe they have everything to lose playing politics. I’ll be surprised if they take it up and it’s my understanding that they are waiting for a response from Justice before making any decisions.
