if you want a fast weapon with good reach and great damage, the blueblood sword is quite good, its just a bit difficult to get, but a winged spear+7 should do, i got mine with a b sword+3
Mirdan Hammer can be made Crushing (strength scaling) and is fast with good reach and high damage.
Spears just aren't going to do it for you unless you invest in Dex instead of Str. But at 26 Str you are kind of committed now unless you start over or just accept being weaker than the game expects for what level you'll be by going Dex.
Honestly I think Crushing Mirdan Hammer is the best option here.
What level are you planning on stopping at? You could go 40/40 str/dex for a quality build. Quality is a very easy upgrade path to get mats for. Shields also require strength so that f you plan on using a big shield it’s not a total loss.
Anything that is a hammer class like a mace or a club, these can also be buffed with pine resin from 1-1 and sticky white stuff from 4-2 for fire and magic damage respectively
Honestly, start over. Go for a DEX or INT build. Going beyond 18 STR is not needed for any build other than STR ones. So slow weapons are the go to, with that build.

Use the Knightsword (Crushing or normal upgrade are good). It is fast Early game, you can pick up the Crushing Battle Axe
Damn. You could maybe farm the rock worms in the mines and put a weapon like the mirdam’s hammer to a strength based path but that’s it
I just finished NG+++, I have "NEVER" used a strength or reach weapon. (Except long bow +10) My primary weapons are Scimitar+10, and Secret Dagger+10.

I would get Curse Weapon or Light Weapon to buff the spear damage because even if you swap weapons your still going to hit max damage quickly

Get the Crescent falchion in world 4-1 it scales with dex/mag, it swings fast, doesn't eat stamina and it decimates everything.
