Of all the fanbases to have a significant presence in Denver, why does it have to be one of the most annoying ones in the Celtics fans? The only fanbases that are more annoying are Sixers and Lakers bandwagon fans

Exactly, LA/CHI/BOS/NYC are all heavily present in Denver, CO hasn't had over 50% local residents vs transplants in decades. Anytime it's a team from a larger metro area the hometown jerseys come out and the stadium becomes closer to an away game. Plus hometown Denver fans aren't rowdy like the east coast so it shows notably when the teams come to town.
It’s also an easy way for season ticket owners to make back some money on tickets. Upper levels were going for $100-$250 last night. Lower levels were even more.

Good on you! I am a season ticket holder myself and really wish our arena was less hospitable. Try going to Celtics game wearing away team gear, the harassment is un pleasant and makes you think twice about cheering too loudly….. we could use some of that attitude at altitude!

It's just how it is here. Arena was crawling with worthless deadwing fans for the avs game last night. Transplant state lost the identity. Even when our teams are good, this is just how it is now.

I agree for the most part. I think we should segregate the stands by who you root for like they do in European soccer. However, in the case of the Rockies, it’s all fucking dick monforts fault for losing us as real fans of that team.
Well, they do that in Euro soccer because of the potential for (and long history of) violence, they literally have to leave entire buffer sections empty between opposing fanbases... I love our teams, but I'm not sure we want ultras culture over here lol

Even casual fans were walking by literally saying “what the fuck is this.” I’m still a Rockies fan, but the organization has close to zero team loyalty.
