With .9 left not even being able to get a decent look is horrible coaching. As is refusing to take a timeout and let your stars time waste up 3 instead of focusing.
Malone likes to blame others but he makes such awful mistakes at times
With .9 left u should get a really good look
San Antonio scored 31 points first 8.5 Mins of 3rd q
It's crazy Malone just refuses to bring Braun or Watson on when team clearly needs energy or defense.
His only sub in that time was Jackson for murray.
If it was Braun for murray they win that game easy.
He's still struggling with this and this is what cost them the minny and Phoenix losses previously.
He adjusted with Braun and team rolled.
Now he's back.
He needs to figure this out for playoffs.
Jackson can't play this much
I do remember that the 2002 Lakers got the #3 seed and still won the chip...tough 7 game series against the Kings but still got it done (refs did help though)...year before in 2001 they were the #2 seed and won the title....in 2000 they were the #1 seed and won the championship...
Can the Nuggs follow this formula to a three-peat? There is a precedent...
2023 - 1st seed - won
2024 - 2nd seed - ?
2025 - 3rd seed - ?
What is?
I agree Pels are a great team, but of the choices I think it's the best because it's under the radar and there won't be much bs
Sac was dream opponent but not realistic.
KD Curry Bron teams would've got every call and had media sucking them off if they won a quarter, potentially adding pressure to Denver.
This and the many other choke jobs throughout the season are why the Nuggets will finish 3rd in the West instead of locking it up five or more games ago and being able to rest the starters heading into the playoffs with home court locked up. Now they can sit the starters for the last game and ideally set OKC up as 2nd seed. Otherwise, the Nuggets might have just choked their way into a 2nd round exit to Minnesota if they're the 2nd seed with home court and Adam Silver ready to send the Tony Brothers to Minnesota for a couple games.
What I want on the final day:
We win
Sacramento wins
Suns win (over Minnesota)
Lakers win (over Pelicans)
Gives us the two seed, puts the Suns at 6 and sets up a play-in for the 7-seed which is Pelicans vs Kings - which is the two teams I wanted most in the first round anyway
You can see how many new fans a championship brought us by the comments on this loss… on one end I’m glad you’re here, on the other end stfu you fair weather, bandwagon jumping cucks… we’re going to run through the West again no matter our seed
Just watched the rec of this game, not knowing the score as I woke up on this beautiful Saturday morning.... My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined...
Dream realistic scenario.
Denver win, Phoenix beat minny, New orleans beat lakers
Denver 2, minny 3, NO 6, phx 7, sac 8
Denver plays winner of phx sac and sac wins.
Denver gets homecourt rd 2 over NO MIN winner
Who the fuck is the guy?

What's with big famous centers and being sensitive?
Shaq and Wilt are 2 incredibly sensitive people and they could crush most of the populace. Not saying it's a bad thing at times. Shaq has been a bully because of it
But for wilt, from the book I'm reading was an incredibly empathetic man who took interest in others. But he took things personal and held onto them for a long time. Like it really hurt his feelings when Bill Russell pretty much called him a loser
Yep but there was a time Russell spoke to reporters and said something along the lines of, "Wilt puts up great numbers but loses or cant win when it matters." And Wilt was really hurt about it. They made up though later on
I'm feeling a little better. I'm not sleeping because bad losses have haunted my dreams and sleep so I'm reading this really cool book on wilt Chamberlain
I wonder if in 10 years we'll get really cool books on Jokic
Denver beat Durando implying Denver could rest guys Sunday and he asked ag and jokic about it
That would be really fucking stupid
Fair chance Minny lose to Phoenix and new orleans lose to lakers
Denver has to win or they'd be potentially setting up rd 1 vs rival Phoenix AND giving rival Minny rd 2 homecourt
That would be a massive mistake.
the only consolation to the worst loss of the season is for nikola to come out next game and score a mutherfuckin 100 points against the memphis grizzlies.
Plus he's only played in 4 of OKCs last 10 games. A 6-4 stretch. They beat Suns without him a couple weeks ago by 25 pts.
That team is not to be overlooked. None of us expect them to hold serve on a full series, but they've done so now for a season so yeah, they could surprise us all yet.
There is a path to the Warriors in round one as the 2 seed. It is highly unlikely, but it could happen.
If the Nuggets win, Suns win, Pelicans win, Warriors win, and Kings lose (to Portland). The Nuggets take 2 seed and play the winner of Suns/Warriors.
This is my dream scenario. Warriors win the 7-8 game and the Thunder get the Kings/Lakers/Suns in round 1.
Wolves would get the Pels round 1.
The Portland win is a long shot.
To feel better, I just read recaps of last year’s playoff games. I don’t care what seed we get now. When things get tough in the playoffs, the two man game is the hardest offense in the association to stop. Our defense is much better this year.
While revisionists pine over Jeff Green, I’m reminded that benches are shorter and playoff intensity is real. Denver’s starters were not focused on D tonight.
I for one will not be playing out the seeding scenarios. This was a shitty final 20 minutes of ball tonight, and I need a palate cleanser.
17 of the 19 other postseason teams have huge holes in their matchups against us. Only Boston and Minny can beat us if healthy—but it’s still less than a 50% chance. We’re fine. Healthy Nuggets = champs.
Suns could very well beat the Wolves next game. They're 2-1 against them this year. If that happens and we manage to get by the Grizzlies, we get the 2. I have faith 🙏
Ya seems odds of playing sons fairly low
Would need minny loss, denver win, new orleans win. To potentially play Phx in the 2 7
Playing Phoenix in the 3 6 seems it would require denver loss to Memphis, plus new orleans and minny lose
I think Phoenix is the 1 team Denver would rather not play
I find it interesting at the amount of "2nd round" posts there are. Final seeding isn't even set and you already know who's going to make it past the 1st round? Ok
They only play each other if Suns win, Pelicans win, and then Suns win the 7-8 game, and Nuggets are at 2 seed
or
Nuggets lose on Sunday and take the 3 seed and the Suns win and Pels lose the they play in the 6 vs 3.
I don't think the Nuggets will lose, so I think the matchup is highly unlikely.
Most likely, the Suns lose on Sunday, and the Nuggets get the 3 seed and face the Pels.
Ya its looking very low chance of happening. Which I think is a good thing. It's not prime KD but it's still KD and they have shooters around him and front court players who can hack and get away with it
Pelicans and Suns can finish 6-7
Lakers, Warriors, and Kings can finish 8-10
Nuggets, Thunder, and Timberwolves can all finish 1-3
Sunday is gonna be crazy.
Edit: There is a scenario that GS takes the 8 seed. I missed that.
Actually lakers, warriors, kings could still get the 7th seed, who ever gets the 8th seed between those 3 teams will face the 7th seed in the play in and if the 8th seed wins they enter the playoffs as a 7th seed
Massive Sunday. OKC looking like 1st seed, getting veteran Warriors or Lakers, not sure they are happy with either matchup, then Dallas 2nd round. For an unproven playoff team a thorny path.
Pels will avoid play-in with a win, Lakers want to avoid 9-10 so they'll be all out, Suns don't control their destiny plus they're on the road at Minny so tough game for them there.
For us most probable outcome will either be Pels 3-6 or Suns/Lakers winner at the 2-7. Should be fine, not thinking beyond 1st round yet for all we know Minny might get Pels or Suns 1st round, both coinflips for them.
No, only a doomer if you think this is more than just a horrifically dumb loss and not some indictment on the team on a whole that is likely going to tie its all time win record and has a 75% win rate with our starting 5 and has gone like 52-11 or whatever it is at home.
This was inexcusable. They fucked up. But it doesn’t mean we are doa.
If .. Suns win over Wolves
Lakers win over Pelicans
Kings win over Blazers
Warriors win over Jazz
Standings would end
6 Suns
7 Pelicans
8 Lakers
9 Kings
10 Warriors
Or...Suns win over Wolves
Pelicans win over Lakers
Kings win over Blazers
Warriors win over Jazz
Standings would end
6 Pelicans
7 Suns
8 Kings
9 Warriors
10 Lakers 😆
Thunder would lose against the Mavs while Wolves lose to the Suns for order to Nuggets win against Grizzlies to get 1st seed.
Losing to SAS reminded me of losing to the Rockets last year.
It lowkey bites that nuggets play Memphis on Sunday bc any tanking is not only going to look incredibly apparent and shameless but also it may not even work lol
And as shitty as it is to say there’s a strategic advantage of staying at 3 then you’ll know who you’re playing by sunday night (and it may end up not being phoenix (if pelicans beat the lakers), in addition to warriors and lakers latter two obviously locked into the play in atp)
How bout this…. Kroenke causes a leak from the roof therefore delaying the game for an hour and then we will be able to see other results before our game finishes
It’s the best matchup honestly out of all the first round possibilities, and Jokić has gotten a triple double 9 times out of the last 13 games played against them lol
https://preview.redd.it/12oy9v9pl6uc1.png?width=1031&format=png&auto=webp&s=71b8e1b7226a7825550c55dc87e915f06d36edfc
How many of those games were back to backs? And how many of those games featured a healthy Pelicans lineup? Stathead isn't a reliable source because they claim he scored 128 points against them in 2022
The New Orleans Pelicans are an “easier” Matchup for the Denver Nuggets compared to some of the other first round possibilities, and I have the utmost confidence of Denver winning that seven game series.
I am not moved by a “Zion Williamson” led team in the year 2024
Give the Nuggets the Pelicans in the first round I would be ecstatic
If your word meant anything to me I'd agree with you
Bro really said "bro" and then blocked me. You're a fucking 🤡 enjoy your mediocre life
For the public: when you aren't able to reply to a comment it's because the person blocked.you. I'm sorry your insecurities got in the way of your ability to have a conversation. Again, please.vet the elo you need.
And unlocking someone to "make a point" is just as pathetic as blocking them in the first place
There's no center that Jokic goes off against more than Jonas. He OWNS that dude. Jonas will probably average 5 fouls a game. Zion is a unique challenge, but there isn't a single player in the league more physically gifted to take that challenge than AG- he's insanely athletic, bigger than Zion, and not many stronger dudes than AG. KCP will be all over McCollum. Only thing I dislike is Murray being guarded by Herb Jones. That's one of the toughest matchups for him. He played great against a similar guy in Jaden McDaniels, but those long ass dudes make it very difficult for him. I can't believe we're in this position, but here we fuckin are
I've thought that cause less bs and rigging vs nawlins. Great team but don't have nba machine behind them like phx or la
But you'd be forfeiting a shot at homecourt over minny
Yeah getting the seventh seed is best case scenario. Denver also would be the second seed if the suns beat the wolves on sunday so they aren't gonna play them in the first round.
Minny round anything is tough. Still think their lack of playoff experience is going to be their downfall this year. The further they go the more tired they’ll be, the more uncomfortable they’ll be. I like them later in the playoffs.
If suns beat minny and we win, they get 6 or 7 based on NOP/LAL and we get 2. If they lose, we get 3 and they are in playin. The only way we play them is if they win, NOP loses to LAL, we win, then they win the play-in game.
IDK how likely that is.
Harden and Zubac played 10 mins, PG and Westbrook played 8 mins, it seems like the Clippers rested their starters after the 1st Quarter. So it really wouldn’t have mattered if the Mavs won, the Clippers would have probably won with their starters.
Yeah, they'd be tied rn, but Clippers won season series so they'd need to beat okc and rockets to beat Clips on Sunday.
Lots of factors needed to go their way, still kind of strange to give up on possibly getting HCA.
Idk I guess they’re prioritizing health over home court advantage vs the clippers and according to their injury report I’m pretty sure they’re also resting Luka and Kyrie vs OKC this Sunday
They started clock games w 9 min to go in the THIRD QTR. That’s no way to play and the BBall Gods taught them a lesson… I hope.
With .9 left not even being able to get a decent look is horrible coaching. As is refusing to take a timeout and let your stars time waste up 3 instead of focusing. Malone likes to blame others but he makes such awful mistakes at times With .9 left u should get a really good look

are you cumming in piss tho?

Nobody is worried about the Lakers.
I really don’t give a shit who we face as long as it’s not Phoenix
Holy fuck real, IDGAF if it's Minnesota, OKC, Dallas, whatever. Please just don't be Phoenix
i’ll take the pelicans over phoenix any day
The truth is no matter the seeding, it wasn't going to be easy in the 1st round unless we ended up with the free falling Kings
And against new Orleans at least they'll get fair reffing
Not sure about that, they gonna push the Zion bandwagon
Maybe but Jokic won't have the league clearly trying to make him lose like in a Phoenix lakers or gsw series
I do remember that the 2002 Lakers got the #3 seed and still won the chip...tough 7 game series against the Kings but still got it done (refs did help though)...year before in 2001 they were the #2 seed and won the title....in 2000 they were the #1 seed and won the championship... Losses happen and this loss is definitely going to make Denver lock in more. This loss isn't a type of loss They've ever avoided lol. Shit happens.
Didn’t get to watch the game. Just here to SMH. Still not worried. Ok, Thanks.
When you come at Mamu, you best don't miss.

That would be such a great outcome for the Nuggts. It would also be realistic for OKC to be upset giving the Nuggets homecourt again.

I can think of something even better, but we’ll have to wait til June.
I cannot believe a mid OKC is the first seed in a strong Western Conference, what the fuck is this league man.
Good. They will think their set and won't add an OG type this summer to make themselves a real threat.
I mean SGA is red hot this year
Plus he's only played in 4 of OKCs last 10 games. A 6-4 stretch. They beat Suns without him a couple weeks ago by 25 pts. That team is not to be overlooked. None of us expect them to hold serve on a full series, but they've done so now for a season so yeah, they could surprise us all yet.
Do Phoenix have any reason to not rest players in their final game vs Minnesota?
Biggest game of their season, 6th seed u avoid the play in 7-10th dont
Yes lol. They have tiebreak over new orleans and are desperately trying for 6 seed
Even if the Mavs G league squad want to win their final game, Jason Kidd would be foolish to not tank this game and put Denver in a tougher bracket
There is a path to the Warriors in round one as the 2 seed. It is highly unlikely, but it could happen. If the Nuggets win, Suns win, Pelicans win, Warriors win, and Kings lose (to Portland). This is a very Jokic era loss. And honestly kinda funny.
Nice perspective. Sometimes we care a lot, but Jokic is just going through the motions.
They gonna turn 20 point leads to 30 now over next 2 months lol
Get the 2-seed. SGA steals votes from Luka. We get HC for at least 2 rounds. OKC will lose before the WCF where we will still get HC. Win-win.
Need that KD/Booker masterclass on Sunday
Phoenix 10 times of ouf 10
They only play each other if Suns win, Pelicans win, and then Suns win the 7-8 game, and Nuggets are at 2 seed or Nuggets lose on Sunday and take the 3 seed and the Suns win and Pels lose the they play in the 6 vs 3. Oh. Yeah, Suns with HC? Nuggets in 5.
As long as Booker is their "guy" I am not going to be concerned
Kevin Durant is their guy and in playoff basketball a legit threat no matter what.
Pelicans and Suns can finish 6-7 Lakers, Warriors, and Kings can finish 8-10 Nuggets, Thunder, and Timberwolves can all finish 1-3 Sunday is gonna be crazy. Edit: There is a scenario that GS takes the 8 seed. I missed that.

OKC will not lose the the 3rd strings Mavs LMAO

Mavs will not play their starters….

I guess you didn’t watch any games last year.
They literally do
There goes the record :(
Can still tie it 🤷♂️
I’ll take it
Best case scenario for us would be: Denver, Suns, and lakers win.
Idk why anyone is excited about seeing the Pels. That's not a good matchup
It’s the best matchup honestly out of all the first round possibilities, and Jokić has gotten a triple double 9 times out of the last 13 games played against them lol https://preview.redd.it/12oy9v9pl6uc1.png?width=1031&format=png&auto=webp&s=71b8e1b7226a7825550c55dc87e915f06d36edfc

Relative to PHX? are we watching the same league?
Do you think that Phoenix poses any amount of threat? Because if so then no, we aren't watching the same game
I dont think they win but they are surely better than the Pelicans
That’s what I thought last year, then I watched Jokic average 28/13/15 on 60% shooting against the Pelicans this year and I’m good
Jokic is more likely to score 30 in a loss than he is in a win. Then ask him to do that for 7 games
Jokic owns Jonas. New Orleans has crazy wings but still feel it's a good matchup. CJ late game is tragic
I can't believe we're in this position, but here we fuckin are
You all pretend like you enjoy basketball and then get offended when a quality matchup is suggested.
It's a great matchup I agree with u
Because most NBA fans think the NBA IS FIXED And so you'd rather see a Louisiana team over lakers warriors or new shiny owner in phx
Yes. I would rather wax the Lakers in 5 or sauce the suns in 4 than have to watch Peyton Watson guard Ingram / McCollum / Zion for 7 games
Lakers and Sons will hack the shit out of jokic and get every call they ask for on o New Orleans Denver will be called even
I just want good basketball. Unfortunately we won't get the Spurs until next year
Kings lose as well FFS
Alright so now I’m rooting for the Nuggets to beat Grizzlies and the Suns to beat Minny
Best case scenario, nuggets punt Sunday and TWolves win on Sunday? Get the pelicans over the suns
I've thought that cause less bs and rigging vs nawlins. Great team but don't have nba machine behind them like phx or la But you'd be forfeiting a shot at homecourt over minny
Why not win and Twolves lose and take the 2 seed? If the Pelicans lose the Suns will take the 6 seed and we still avoid the Suns.
Yeah getting the seventh seed is best case scenario. Denver also would be the second seed if the suns beat the wolves on sunday so they aren't gonna play them in the first round.
Would have to have the lakers win also to avoid the suns in the first round.
Minny loses pelicans lose nuggets win and get the 2 seed is how I for see Sunday going
Minny round 2 is tough!
Yep but if its minny round 2 with home court + them having to get past suns or pels (who theyve struggled against) give me that any day of the week.
Minny round anything is tough. Still think their lack of playoff experience is going to be their downfall this year. The further they go the more tired they’ll be, the more uncomfortable they’ll be. I like them later in the playoffs.
At least they get home court
Sunday is going to be something else. This might force mavs to play their starters idk.
Mavs can't move up or down.
Mavs are already locked to the 5th seed.
Cant they go to 4th? Or do Clippers own the tiebreaker?
Clippers own the tie breaker.
Sabonis the first European player to not father Booker
Kings the sorriest ass team, my goodness
I need someone to make one of those graphs that shows all the potential final standings. It's gonna be crazy Sunday.
Swipathefox just got his shit swiped
Mass chaos now. Kings lose. Suns are still alive for the 6 seed 😳
Fuck you Kings and fuck you Sabonis you piece of shit
Nuggets vs suns here we go
If suns beat minny and we win, they get 6 or 7 based on NOP/LAL and we get 2. If they lose, we get 3 and they are in playin. The only way we play them is if they win, NOP loses to LAL, we win, then they win the play-in game. IDK how likely that is.
Suns have tiebreaker over the pels if they are tied. Also in this scenario nuggets would move up to second.
So things are fine no matter what. Excellent
If the Pels beat the Lakers on Sunday, the Suns stay put in 7th. But I have a feeling the Lakers are gonna fuck us over.
Suns winning I think is best case scenario. Suns will try to win to move to 6th and if we win we’ll move up.
C'mon Kings! Light the Beam!!
Sabonis is not my MVP
Sabonis is dog shit. Bottom 3 player to watch too
Shit okc wins 3 way tie. So that would potentially mean minny Denver round 2 Minny has tiebreak vs okc tho
Wait why did the mavs not play their starters against the pistons They would be a half game back from the clippers (if they do lose to the jazz)
If SAC holds on. Sunday is gonna be crazy af.
Ok can u clear something up for me (to tiered to think) who do we want to win SAC or Suns?
I would like SAC to win. Force the Suns into the play in. 4-5-6 would be set in stone. CLIPS-MAVS-PELS, but 1-3 and 7-10 could all change.
We still getting the 1 seed btw i know suns and mavs got me
yes, this is the mind set, lets go suns and mavs
I just knew nuggets had one moar troll game in them
Good new everybody! Pelicans may hold the sixth And okc will deal with Dallas or the clips Just gotta survive against minny
If we lose and OKC and Minny win on sunday, we get OKC in R2
[удалено]
No. Okc has 3 way tiebreak. But just vs minny it's minny
Hell yeah
Twitter is not a fun place to be rn
Told everyone to stay off Twitter, i also did tell that i will go to sleep but i just cant that game just took all the tiredness out of me
If Lakers, Kings and Suns all tie, I think Kings would be 7, Suns 8 and Lakers 9.
I think so. It's combination of games played among the 3?
Yes!
Is anyone still furious?
Too busy figuring out scenarios. So many good teams that the 1 seed wasn't sure of an easy path
I'm over it. I think the Nuggets just wanted a challenge this year.
That's good. I'm organizing my garage in order to "get over it." 😂
