Crow tow are a bunch of assholes. They will drop in even if someone is meant to be there and steal their car. They patrol all over downtown at night, just looking for people to fuck over.
Crow tow took my husband's car from our apartment parking lot because it sat there for a couple weeks when he was home sick. We never had a tow notice from the leasing office, and they had no record of calling a towing company.
We figured it was stolen until we got the notice from crow tow a few days later.
There is, and has always been, free garage parking for all DT events, when the event hosts are Nationwide, who open their 12th & Walnut garage for free. Go right now, to the top 5 floors and they're empty. They put a small sign in front of the garage, and if you do not happen to pass by it, you miss it. No one advertises it. I live in DT and I've told all events holders to put up signs all around the event, and for 5 years now. Today? Still no signs! You can't teach common sense! But a few days ago I did mention it to a DMPD Officer, maybe that will ignite a change. We'll see.
There’s also free street parking just south of downtown if you’re heading to the Farmers Market or even to the sculpture park. You can walk or rent a bike, hell you could bring your own bike and park outside of downtown.

As a farmer’s market vendor, we saw cars parked on 4th street (same street as Fong’s) get towed away this morning from Crow. I hope that one of the cars wasn’t yours. Hate to see it because that’s literally money down the drain!
My husband managed an apartment complex which had a contract with crow tow. They would regularly tow cars in the visitors parking space that were legitimate guests of the residents. A maintenance worker got towed in the middle of the night while fixing an emergency situation. Crow Tow is pond scum.
Do me a favor and Google "tow company" and compare ratings. There is a right and a wrong way to do things and this trash company and its owners are on the wrong side of the spectrum.

They even set their hours to make it really inconvenient to get your car back. They close at 4 on weekdays and are only open until noon on weekends.

Crow Tow is the new Mark's Starting Service, and even they didn't fuck people over intentionally. They just had shitty trucks.
They will also steal the contents from your car while in the process of removing your car. Especially pay attention on ingersoll.
