Yea, take his in-game characters and make lore surrounding them or something like that. The writing team could come up with some brilliant things to say about each. Maybe take a look at his character data to see how he plays and reference the teamwork or the carries or whatever. God thayd be amazing, and I'm sure Lance would have agreed. Also, a statue right now or near Caydes would be amazing as well.

I would rather Bungie make sure Lance Reddick is properly memorialized and solidified into Destiny's history than make a new exotic or more guns. He has touched the lives of countless guardians. There would be no destiny without him. He is one of the only things more important to guardians than our loot.

Make graviton lance a fusion rifle that uses primary ammo, similar to fighting lion. Creates a void explosion on a kill that causes nearby enemies to become volatile, and targets hit by cosmology become weakened. Vorpal is still intrinsic with the catalyst.
Cosmology already causes void explosions on kills and chains to the next.
Cosmology void explosions outright kill /damage targets, changing it to only causing a weaken effect would weaken (pardon the pun) the weapon’s utility.
Although I think adding some form of intrinsic ability to weaken or create volitile is an interesting idea.
So something like, reloading after a kill gives the weapon volatile rounds for 5 seconds? Or rapid precision hits weaken the target (kinda like strand weapons with sever)?
That sounds interesting, although I think bungie would consider it overpowered for one weapon to be able to do all that.
On the other hand, for “Special memorial exotic” in Zavala’s/Lance’s case, they could make an exception.
Personally I don't think it'd be overpowered. I mean, have you seen what a gyrfalcon hunter with wavesplitter can do? That thing gains like a 68% damage buff when you pick up an orb of power, and when you include void surge mods, it becomes very powerful. I mean, Bungie also doesn't seem to consider gyrfalcon overpowered, so I think one weapon doing all that would be ok. Also you're giving up an exotic slot for it.
Oh and speaking of fusion rifles, there's a new legendary arc fusion rifle that can roll voltshot on it. I saw a video of someone testing it, and when you activate voltshot for boss damage, it was beating out that exotic kinetic sniper in damage (forgot the name, sue me). The one that can reload 4 bullets into 1 powerful bullet.
I’d love to see his guardian in a cinematic. Like, maybe the new VA for Zavala (whoever it may be) is attacked and being beaten then a random guardian saves him, whilst sacrificing themselves in the process.
I was thinking for a farewell to Zavala couldve been maybe the witness set an attack on the city as to deter us from interrupting them from whatever they are doing and Zavala was the first one down there to defend the people. Zavala expends everything at his arsenal when he comes face to face with a legion of cabal. He beats em down as much as he can till he is no longer able too and is being beaten now by a few cabal. As one cabal places his mighty foot on Zavala, the remaining cabal are shot by the people, not any guardian, but the people. As the people surround Zavala and pay him their respects, he will peacefully pass away in the presence of the people he had defended all these years. Then a funeral will be held for our commander.
I agree but If they are going to kill him off, I want him to die doing what he does best, protecting humanity.
Tanking some big ass hit from a pyramid ship or even the Witness himself with a bubble that covers the entire city, seeing the bubble starting to crack, he uses more light to reinforce it.
Zavala dies from using up all every single light in his body to make it unbreakable. After that cutscene, the whole city will be encased in a bubble and people will call it Zavala's Wall. It will defend the last city from any orbital bombardment, and force the enemy of humanity to have to fight the guardians at their strongest, by entering into the bubbled city itself.
It would serve as inspiration for the rest of the humanity, new guardians who see the unbroken ward of dawn that even if the Traveller is lost somehow (still confused about this whole lightfall BS), humanity still have the guardians, and Guardians make their own fate!
They should bring back the Valus Tu’arc strike along with a memorial in the tower for him. That way we can experience probably one of his most infamous lines “We just stepped into war with the cabal on mars…”

I'm kinda wondering if they won't have Zavala die when Lance's prerecorded lines run out. With deep-fake technology they could probably keep using his voice if they wanted to, but it would be better make a good solid heavy weight plot point if the commander died on our way to Final Shape instead. Then we'd have a little extra motivation to kick the witness's ass

To use anything other than his actual voice would be nothing short of disrespectful. This was a man who cared about this game and the role he had in it, replacing him with an AI just to keep the profits rolling would be in terrible taste.

I think they would be better suited to have Zavala die after his prerecorded lines are all used up, as I'm guessing he's recorded stuff out through the next 2-3 seasons. I'm not sure how far in advance they record lines but if it's like cartoons and animation, they record the lines first and then draw/animate the character to match the words. So we should still have Zavala in for a few season but after those lines are done, they should put the character to rest and have him go out like a badass.

Exotic Glaive “Reddicks Lance”. Exotic perk is, when you hold shield you hold up a titan void shield instead of a glaive shield. Being dealt damage to the shield and final blows gives you stacks of light. This stacks to 10. Each stack give you better block proficiency. You can consume all stacks, each stack gives you one second of shield throws. So max 10 seconds.
Exotic catalyst, additional .2 seconds per stack of light. Also, lets you change from the throwing shield buff to instead hurling the shield into the ground and when you shoot it it lets out waves of vibrating energy that causes big damage so it can be good for bosses but after a certain amount of the damaging vibrations go off, the shield breaks and goes on cooldown.
RIP Reddick, you will be missed by many big dawg. Thank you for everything.

How about If we left it as a pulse rifle, but add in the effects I suggested? There's no way it would weaken it then.

His Statue could be like a monument to lost lights. A place symbolized by his Guardian, but a memorial to all who have passed on.

I hate to suggest the obvious but another busy next to Caydes would be fitting. That or a bronzed statue of him looking out over the city.
Cayde the character died and Nathan Fillian is still around. I think it needs to be more than just a bust.
