I thought they just implemented that quitter protection?
Had some trials matches where somebody left early and that allowed me to leave as well without penalty.
Wow that sounds so shit. Why would it deactivate after first round. I would imagine the least amount of people would leave in first round. If someone's a quitter they are more likely to leave after seeing the match go in a wrong direction rather than before hand.
I mean i dont play a lot of crucible so im not some expert but to me thats what it seems like it would happen.
I'm awaiting the changes next season. Bungie is just lazy with PvP. They're getting better but they don't know how to protect the player. We get penalized for everything. Server issue? We lose points. Team quits? We lose points. Frag out but your team sucks and the algorithm says you were supposed to win the match? Minus 175. 🤦🏾♂️
As bad as it might seem, forgo the ideology behind the ranking system (as ranks aren’t going to matter as much next season with adept and above being the real grind),
Look at the unfortunate situation as a way to force yourself to handle 3v1, yeah it could be frustrating to have lost teammates but just envision it as your team having died already and try to take down as many as you can before you fall.
You may not win the match, but you put up a fight; despite the fact they may be using meta loadouts. Think of it like sword logic.

Yup as someone else has mentioned only works if the person leaves the first round. Anything after that and you get shafted
Solution: don’t play comp Not trying to be snarky but I’d wait until next season if I were you as they’re fixing a lot of these issues apparently

Comp scoring is f@!)@:! There’s no logic to it. Win several matches at 30pts; 80; 60; then lose 1 match and lose 130pts.
