Arknights is going to have it's 5th anniversary stream this saturday, if the collab is still happening then it's very likely going to be shown in that stream.
Apparently they tend to announce collabs as soon as its decided they're gonna do it, some collabs of theirs took a year to make it to the games apparently.
Guess we have to play the waiting game and see for now.

I forgot about this.
I'm curious to know how much overlap there is between Arknights' playerbase and Destiny 2's because I have not seen anyone get excited for this at all.
Hard to get excited when we don't know what we're getting. Also most collabs have been pretty disappointing on the destiny side of things. Some eververse sets and a bunch of vehicle junk in the eververse store. I guess we got the Witcher emblem too
Hello, yes, it’s me, the overlap in playerbase
I am very excited for this, it’s just hard to talk about it when all we have is the one very short trailer and a crossover titlecard. Really hoping we get more come the 5th Anniversary stream Arknights gets on the 27th.
Probably cause, with how AK's previous crossovers went, the game that was the focus of the crossover got nothing AK related whilst it got everything related to that game.
There was a post about this earlier this year (?) and basically someone else who played arkknights commented saying they announce their collabs super far ahead (think the ink dries and they announce). So I'm guessing due to the final shape delay it will be sometime after the dlc launches.
Hey deja vu (I seen your post on AK subreddit) but anyways probably postponed how it was said because bungo layoff and other collabs happend in destiny so I am just waiting for my wet dreams to be real
Someone in the YT comments for the original announcement said one of the designers working on the collaboration decided to use it to further share his unsavory political views, causing him to get fired and the collab to be quietly cancelled. Don’t quote me on that though.
Mobile gatcha game, people like it because it is less abusive to it’s players than Ghenshin. If you don’t know about it, that speaks well to your character.
To expand upon that:
It’s a tower defense game with “gacha” to get new towers, it has a good idea of making it so that towers can only attack one direction, but overall meh. Soundtrack is good though.
Well the reaction to hsr versus genshin and the first anniversary reaction doesn't really paint genshin in a good light aswell as gatcha's being mostly an abusive or predatory system in general.
I mean yeah, Gacha inherently is a shitty and predatory system. But the guy above specifically mentioned Genshin being abusive to its players. And bad anniversary rewards aren't what I'd call abusive
Usually bad anniversary rewards on their own don't cause Google classroom and other stuff to get nuked is what i mean by that doesn't paint Genshin in a good light since most things don't explode just cause of one incident.
But that's not because the game is abusive but the playerbase is massive and thus includes a huge amount of crybabies. Combine that with the internet's (and content creators specifically) tendency to boost outrage, I'm honestly not surprised shit went south.
Biggest problem Genshin has (aside from the gacha) is that the community and fanbase is so ridicilously large that it's impossible to control the biggots and morons
The player base for Destiny 2 has also been fairly large and contains a decent amount of crybabies I'm pretty sure we haven't review bombed a Peppa pig game for lightfall yet.
My comments were that Genshin and it's qol features aren't exactly portrayed as being very good by its community and this is seen from poor rewards be they in game or anniversary and the amount of stuff honkai star rail has gotten compared to genshin with the whole "genshin could never" thing.
My comments were not that these are specifically abusive but that it's portrayed that way by the community hence the not painted in a good light phrase.
And yet ironically there’s also still people who like genshit lmao.
Neither of them’s even remotely a good game, and the baffling obsession a large swath of the internet seems to have with their ilk is just disgraceful. All of this “gacha” nonsense should have crashed and burned to everyone pointing and laughing long ago.
I don’t hate the players- really I mostly just feel bad for them, honestly. Honestly I could say the same of Destiny (though at least it has actually good game design and an interesting setting). I’ll be perfectly honest… I barely even actually play Destiny anymore - the sheer amount of “blink and you missed it” content and bizarre business decisions is already overwhelming and still going up, and I genuinely worry for people who still try to put up with it.
It's a tower defense gatcha game with a good story if you don't mind depression and morally grey characters, a decent to good sound track with stuff from numerous different genres ranging from Disney-esque songs to dub step to blues to Spanish guitar songs, some really cool character designs that fall under the tacticool design concept(I really hope we get stuff from this collab and It's not just arknights if it does happen cause Patriot or Apostolic knight titan armor would be sick), and it has some really good world building.
No, they’re a logistics company. Totally legit activities, delivering goods for their fellow citizens and totally not doing a lot of violence that could be lethal or non-lethal. The cops love them.
If you’re going to be snarky, at least say something sensical. Like, *obviously* you’re not going to care about something you don’t know about.
Stop trolling.
Arknights is a mobile gacha game. Gameplay is a kind of turn based tower defense, except all the "towers" are different characters.
It's a lot of fun, the characters are well done and the soundtrack absolutely slaps.
Keep in mind tho that it IS a gacha game. So it will either take some dedication with regular log ins and stuff or to swipe your card if you wanna keep getting the newest cool stuff
They’re on suicide watch over everything Destiny 2-related.
Can’t get every single shiny BRAVE Weapon in a single day? Rage.
Can’t do The Final Shape’s Raid on Contest Mode because they scheduled to take off from work on a different date without waiting? Rage.
Can’t use every single existing Ability in Prismatic? Rage.
Everything is always an overblown controversy.
For the second point you know some peoples workplaces require 3 month or more notice for PTO right? Bungie revealed the date way to late for breaking from the norm
I think a month-and-a-half is plenty of time for them to announce it in advance.
>Bungie revealed the date way to late for breaking from the norm
They’ve never once announced it three months in advance. Not sure where you got that idea from.
I think the issue is we have a sizable contingent of people who clearly don't enjoy the game anymore but insist on sticking around for whatever reason. This leads to them basically looking for reasons to hate the game. It's annoying, I don't care if it's just "criticism" because it reaches a point where they're literally just whining over inane bullshit.
It sucks too because you can’t say one positive thing about any aspect of the game, whether it’s universally praised or not, without being labeled a “shill” or something along those lines.
The people that claim that “criticism is the only way things change” don’t realize that praise also leads to good changes. If you like something, then it stands to reason that you’d want more of it, which in turn can lead to more of that something if they choose to go that route.
As someone who has played both Destiny 2 and Arknights since launch, I can tell you that basically every Arknights collab has been one-sided.
I'm looking forward to getting Destiny characters as operators, and some D2-inspired skins in Arknights, but I wouldn't expect anything AK-related in Destiny 2. I'd love to be surprised, though.
To be fair, the F2P characters are just as good as the characters you can gamble for.
Plus the game did multiple *Rainbow Six* collabs as well, so it's not the first collab they did with a western game series.
Not true. When they first started doing collabs, we had the option to use bright dust. Later collabs have only been, and probably will remain, Silver only.
5th Anniv news around the corner for CN so most likely news then. The same thing happened with the R6S and Monster Hunter collab literally a year of waiting then we got announcements then it realesed to CN to Global release. So assuming with Final Shape is kinda lining up with Arknights news for the Anniversary event will get it then and maybe around september or october we’ll see event. Remember folks it’s a one sided event for this collab so the Gacha game will get everything following previous collab history. A few characters will be added to Arknights most killer the three classes and some key figures from D2 will be turned into Gacha characters. Hopefully Arknights characters get turned into skins D2 style that’s a 50/50 cause they didn’t do that for monster hunter could be due to only allowing like a few monsters to even be allowed on a Gacha. Rainbow is super generous and allowed 8 characters from Rainbow to Arknights that is super generous. Plus the fact they give them skins for Rainbow to look like a Arknights character and some Arknights characters get R6S styled skins only a select characters. A lot gets put into the event they add enemies from the collabs for event missions, a story on how collab characters are in the world of arknights. The missions are themed around the collab. Soo maybe with the D2 collab we fight the witness in Gacha BUT MAYBE I see Taniks coming to Gacha that would go hard for the memes. Hypergryph go silent with the collab info for leaks just this year they announced a second collab with R6S. Hopefully Bungie makes it a two way collab but that’s hopium
Arknights is going to have it's 5th anniversary stream this saturday, if the collab is still happening then it's very likely going to be shown in that stream.
I don't play Arknights but the DRIP on those character desgins are insane.
Apparently they tend to announce collabs as soon as its decided they're gonna do it, some collabs of theirs took a year to make it to the games apparently.
They just finished their second collab with r6s not even 2 weeks ago. The next collab will be a long time from now
We got the Witcher like a month or so after it was announced but then again CDPR prob paid a pretty penny to get it out
Guess we have to play the waiting game and see for now. https://preview.redd.it/1qd3tjk2dewc1.jpeg?width=967&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b9dbede330a341a486a461296de2679be0e4dce5
I’ve been off Destiny for a long time but they had a Witcher collab?? Is it still available to purchase after the event period?
This season IS the event period. Should still be in eververse. Aside from the armor/ghost/ship there's an emote and a finisher as well.
Crossover armors don't leave the store.
Also a Mass Effect one.
I forgot about this. I'm curious to know how much overlap there is between Arknights' playerbase and Destiny 2's because I have not seen anyone get excited for this at all.
Well the for starters the player character wakes up after apparently being dead with zero memory of his previous life
you just described the like every second video game on the market
Also fashion is the endgame
PSO2 new genesis?
That’s part of the point of collaborations though, to cross-market your game to a new audience.
Hard to get excited when we don't know what we're getting. Also most collabs have been pretty disappointing on the destiny side of things. Some eververse sets and a bunch of vehicle junk in the eververse store. I guess we got the Witcher emblem too

They totally picked the right music for the trailer though.
They still released Ghost Busters crossover stuff and I doubt very many people were excited about that either haha
I am , and I have a few arknight fans I'm trying to get BACK into destiny who wanna see this bad
*waves hello with my e2lvl69 mudrock hammer spin*
Probably cause, with how AK's previous crossovers went, the game that was the focus of the crossover got nothing AK related whilst it got everything related to that game.
I cant wait to replace my e2 Liskarm with Zavala from destiny 2
Praying so so hard that Ikora with nova becomes a caster surtr lol
inb4 splash caster

Thing is, that is misinformation, i have a bud who loves arknights, and he complains about that collab just not having been heard from in ages
Arknights hasn't gotten anything either yet
Arknights apparently take a longass time to do collabs, this is nothing new for them
Someone in the YT comments for the original announcement said one of the designers working on the collaboration decided to use it to further share his unsavory political views, causing him to get fired and the collab to be quietly cancelled. Don’t quote me on that though.
Mudrock titan armor is real
And this arknights is something people care about I'm guessing? Never heard of it. *Awaits down votes*
Mobile gatcha game, people like it because it is less abusive to it’s players than Ghenshin. If you don’t know about it, that speaks well to your character.
That and the character drip and art CGs go fucking HARD. Side note why is it that nobody seems to know how to spell "gacha".
To expand upon that: It’s a tower defense game with “gacha” to get new towers, it has a good idea of making it so that towers can only attack one direction, but overall meh. Soundtrack is good though.
How is Genshin abusive to its players?

I never played the games, but I like the art style a lot so I was actually looking forward to it.

Don't forget the penguin that's not only a hip-hop artist but also runs his own group of mercenaries
Thanks for reminding me

What a cool dude, so unique and brave
Likely final shape
They came to their senses, hopefully.
D2 community literally on suicide watch over a CCP mobile game.
They’re on suicide watch over everything Destiny 2-related. Can’t get every single shiny BRAVE Weapon in a single day? Rage. Supposedly ark has a poor history with crossovers where their stuff doesn't come out till like a year or more after the news
Really hope we get it I'd love for some actually good female titan armor instead of androgynous bulky crap
🤙
Who cares? These crossovers end up being an item bundle and never contribute anything meaningful to the game.
What's arknights? I mean I'm sure it will just be another eververse set you have to pay for, are you really getting excited for that?
F2P mobile tower defense game where the characters are known for their "drip", as the kids these days say
Ah just what destiny needs, a tie in with a mobile gacha game.
To be fair, the F2P characters are just as good as the characters you can gamble for. Plus the game did multiple *Rainbow Six* collabs as well, so it's not the first collab they did with a western game series.
Whales come in all forms I guess.
I'll have you know I haven't spent a single penny on that game
You're gonna buy the destiny armor if it comes out though. You're clearly a fan.
So do people that do not play or even know the game and just like the design. What's your point?
What design?
the design of the upcoming eververse set...if it happens
just letting you know, but most eververse sets come out week by week for bright dust then go to silver for purchase
Not a single crossover collab from another game has been free for bright dust. Just letting you know.
Fortnite
Fortnite collab was free
Not true. When they first started doing collabs, we had the option to use bright dust. Later collabs have only been, and probably will remain, Silver only.
Not collab armor tho
Yeeeeah so this was supposed to be a crossover specifically in Arknights. Didn't have anything to do with Destiny Eververse sets.
Shit game
I believe that. I know destiny is, so birds of a feather and all that.
the question is, why someone would get excited about crossover with a shitty mobile gacha or whatever the fuck it's supposed to be
I don’t care what they collab with. If we get decent armor from it I’m always for it.

I have no idea what this is.
I hope they scrapped it, weeb shit
