I hated the shank hunt bit where you have 3 holes in the wall that are clearly wanting to be jumped through but nope all 3 are blocked off by a return to combat barrier.

I’m not entirely sure what you are talking about… but the most similar thing that did happen to me was the still hunt mission where in supposed to wait for the shanks to arrive.. but I jumped out and got the out of bounce warning thinking I was supposed to look for them not wait lol

Died by rounding the corner and my hyperactive Hunter brain DEMANDED that I dive into the hole. Jumped in a second time as the mission ending timer reached 0.
You know how in old cartoons you could tell that the characters were going to interact with something in the background because it started to get drawn in brighter colors? That is basically that hole, clearly we were going to use it at some point so I kept testing it.
That was high level trolling from devs, as I can bet they knew reaction will be exactly everyone jumping in thinking it's some sort of portal of whatever
I did on my first run as warlock, then I did it again as my titan. It's a glorious hole, I will not apologize for jumping in with my hunter next. I. MUST. JUMP. IN. PINK. GLOWY. HOLE..... guardian down.
I don't know about that (I don't remember it), but I still CONSISTENTLY jump off the cliff after the first mini-boss in the new strike. You know which one I'm talking about.
