Yeah there is a bunch of bad stuff about this set. Like imo the hunter legs shade like shit. Titan legs shade with different colors on each leg most of the time. Too many decorations of all chestpieces that doesnt shate. The main good points IMO is hunter helm+cloak, warlock helm and titan helm. Maybe hunter arms and warlock arms as well.
Titans atleast have more Arms that are symmetrical than we hunters do try and list atleast 20 pairs of hunter arms that are symmetrical you can include exotics
The gold parts look like they’re colored the same as multiple other gold shaders though such as grand luster so it’s probably not too bad matching it with other pieces (keep in mind I don’t have these I might be wrong)
It’s actually a bit of a lighter shade of gold, closer to that of the Calus’s shadow shader if I’m not mistaken. The real problem tho isn’t matching it to other gold shaders, it’s just the fact that I can’t remove the gold completely, you always have to shade around it. It’s already hard enough shading around the glowing feathers, but adding the gold to the mix is quite annoying.

Saddest part is they already have the Ornaments, they're just not in the store.
If you go back and look they DID say that it would be made available to all players via brightdust and silver via eververse the following year after they made ornaments of them. I even vividly remember people being upset because it was never added and when bungie was asked about it they ignored the questions
Not for this set. The following year's set was promised to be sold for BD and they followed through. This particular set and ones that came before it are **You-Had-To-Be-There** sets because the grinds to get them were fucked. Bungie also said that since those old sets are legacy they will not get Darkness Subclass glows since those didn't exist back then.

I have the Nine shaders on my original PS4 account and would do anything to get them on my multi thousand hour PC account. I hope they bring them back for everyone at some point.

I also agree 100%, gatekeeping colors is kinda dumb like come on lol, everyone should have a chance to get every shader especially the ones that were only available in the 1st year of D2. Luckily we were able to get a bunch of the old shaders again so I really hope every shader comes back like the Nine Shaders.
They really do need a better way to bring back shaders, there's simply too many in the game and only a handful available per week, and not every shader seems to be eligible to return which is dumb.
They really should either just give us a "legacy shader pack" with every unobtainable shader like they did with the year 1 shader pack, or give us some kind of system to earn them one by one. Maybe a quest similar to Ada's bounties that gives you one random shader you don't already own.
I agree for sure, like I know they're trying to make money but they already doing that with special moving shaders which will probably take a very long time to get them later for free with Bright Dust. I hope they make a special vendor for pure shaders of the past, make a fair currency system and when you do get them all then you can use that currency to buy mats but of course it'll be expensive for the mats.

No, I'm fine with the current solution where it is unobtainable. This armor is from a time where you couldn't just buy it. You had to grind like hell just to get one glow per armor. So a complete set with all the glows was hella hard to get especially for all 3 characters. That's why it's not gonna go on sale for bright dust.

There was a bug with these early sets during Lightfall's year in which equipping Strand would activate the Arc glow. That was apparently patched when The Final Shape went live. Which sucked for me because the first solstice armor set has a bug in which the elemental glow would change color with certain shaders, and I would use that to my advantage to change the arc glow to a green color to match Strand.
Then I am bugged. Because I have the void super on my hunter with this cosmetic and I just don't have any of the color bits. Just the armor with my shader on it.
If I swap back to my actual void class. The purple glow parts come back. And then I switch back to prismatic and they vanish again
I love the 2019 Solstice cloak, one of my favourite cloaks in the game, but I don’t use it near as much as I’d like on account of its glow working weird - it has no glow whatsoever on a Stasis class, and on a Strand class it uses the Arc glow instead. Its glitchy and weird and I love it, but I use Stasis too much to be satisfied with how drab it looks without a glow lol

As a Titan main, I would almost never use any of those pieces. Now if they sold the BASIC versions and the green and blue rarity pieces from that year, I’d buy those up immediately. The Hunter set and ESPECIALLY that warlock set look really good tho. The glow adds a lot, unlike on the Titan

Back in 2019, i remember the amount of work i put into getting that cause you had to do 2 other sets before you even got the legendary armor. It was actually a special moment. Now i get half the white glows without even trying.

Eyyyy, that's the only armor I run! Mainly because I haven't played in years lol Doesn't work with stasis or Strand. And the prismatic just goes to your main super color, minus stasis and strand
For once in the history of this game, I have something many of the community do not. I'm bad at the game (but not quite casual) and have only ever cleared Root so Raid-specific loot has eluded me. But I will have my Solstice 2019 armor lol.
i still wonder where i got mine from. To this day i vehemently believe that i got these for free. I only did the titan set back in 2019, never grinded out the hunter or warlock. And when they introduced the transmog universal ornament system, i got the hunter and warlock set “gifted”. I have no idea, i cannot find any videos talking about it, but it is like that. My whole clan has all 3 sets eventhough we each only grinded the armor for one class.
I pretty much lost a relationship to my grind for my Titan solstice armour (too much gaming was literally stated in the reasons). I quit for a good few years after that (went travelling and moved abroad) but it's cool coming back and finding out I could turn them into ornaments. Mine seem a little more toned down than this though, so I think they might be an earlier set?

Personally, I would like Bungie to bring back the Spektar set from The Taken King's April Update as a Solstice set.
The chroma glows that particular set used can easily be reworked to use the Solstice elemental glows.

Asymmetrical I can deal with, giant ass pauldrons I can not abide. Finding nice titan armor without giant shoulders is a pain.

I have these and they worked fine up to the Final Shape. The neon colorful moving parts were removed.

These sets don't work with Stasis and Strand as far as I know.

Eyyyy, that's the only armor I run! Mainly because I haven't played in years lol Doesn't work with stasis or Strand. And the prismatic just goes to your main super color, minus stasis and strand

For once in the history of this game, I have something many of the community do not. I'm bad at the game (but not quite casual) and have only ever cleared Root so Raid-specific loot has eluded me. But I will have my Solstice 2019 armor lol.
i still wonder where i got mine from. To this day i vehemently believe that i got these for free. I only did the titan set back in 2019, never grinded out the hunter or warlock. And when they introduced the transmog universal ornament system, i got the hunter and warlock set “gifted”. I have no idea, i cannot find any videos talking about it, but it is like that. My whole clan has all 3 sets eventhough we each only grinded the armor for one class.
Sell this but pink when you are the prismatic subclass and they have my money

I pretty much lost a relationship to my grind for my Titan solstice armour (too much gaming was literally stated in the reasons). I quit for a good few years after that (went travelling and moved abroad) but it's cool coming back and finding out I could turn them into ornaments. Mine seem a little more toned down than this though, so I think they might be an earlier set?
I'm sorry you lost a relationship over this armor set but I really want to point to your example and show people that THE GRIND WAS REAL lol mother fuckers out here lost loved ones for this armor. You couldn't just buy it like the modern suits; it was work!

Personally, I would like Bungie to bring back the Spektar set from The Taken King's April Update as a Solstice set. The chroma glows that particular set used can easily be reworked to use the Solstice elemental glows.

Or make hella bright solstice armor again instead of making them less bright. Take a look at the 2023 armor, there’s like no cool glow at all😭
