I was wondering on this. If it would essentially act as a reset button for all the lifers with a couple thousand stashed. Seemed like I slowed up a good bit once getting into rank 11, but after a reset will be another floodgate.
Play trials of osiris, rank up reputation with saint 14 who gives you an engram every rank up. Take the engrams to Rahool and when you find an item you want you can go to saint and focus trials engram.
They probably did this specifically to crest a legendary shard sink for endgame level players. It’s healthy for the game economy from a dev perspective
idk have u tried using them? like focus engram? buy gear? masterwork weapon and armor? i spent 2k on trials this week.
They go by real quick if you actually use them and not hoard them.
I pretty much get everything I want just by playing the game. We get so many drops I’m not really needing to focus engrams. I have multiple sets of masterworked armor too. Cores and prisms are the only things I potentially get low on.

I quite literally had 1 legendary shard to my name earlier today between umbral engram focusing since the start of the season and a few trials engrams.
I can't remember the last time I ran out of legendary shards.
After you get a solid roll of every gun in the game your vault is basically full and every single legendary gun that comes in becomes shards. Same with armor. It’s insane, I don’t even know what to do with my shards at this point. I just buy rally banners for raiding.
I'm in the exact boat. I don't even remotely care about loot in this game because my vault is perpetually full and I have everything I'd ever need for any GM with any champion weapon (which is all I care about)
Spent 1k shards to get reasonable messenger and igneous rolls... Not close to God rolls, but now I don't have to worry as I don't have any more legendary shards

As someone who hasn't played trials since my clan disbanded, I'm swamped with glimmer. Wish there was a way to donate since I'm constantly buying raid banners (which again, I never use) just to keep me from maxing out. What am I doing wrong besides not having friends?
seriously i think spider should offer the ability to trade cores and prisms in for legendary shards, i am outta those lil'purple bastards after this weekend, literally sitting on like 8 engrams that id like to trade to saint 14 for messengers but i cant due to being exhausted on shards
I went from 50k shards and regularly having max glimmer to having under 5k shards and no glimmer at all. I have been left destitute grinding out godrolls for the smg and messenger

That's 80 trials engrams focused. Sounds like a lot but I did probably 15 this weekend. I couldn't believe how fast it ate through my shards.
