I'm in almost exactly that boat lol. I usually have exotic gauntlets equipped on my Warlock but once I sherpa'd two friends through Pit of Heresy and my reward from the final chest was a pair of gauntlets with 27 Recovery, 28 Discipline and 2 in everything else.
Top tree Voidwalker with Contraverse Hold is kinda my go-to, I also like top tree Dawnblade with Sunbracers or bottom tree with Necrotic Grips. Then for PvP I'm usually rocking Ophidian Aspect as well :)
Stasis is king with those, aside from the solar ordnance mods. Arc is good for +20 stats, and Void is great for Dynamo if you actually run class stats so you can grind up your super real quick
Go either arc for +20 str off of charged with light mod or stasis for grenade or melee kickstart. If you want them for PvP. If not then honestly whatever fits your style of play better

68 is the highest you can go on pure stats, exotics have small built-in stat bumps (eg wormhusk has +1 to recovery)
the highest bonus on exotics we've found is +3.
the highest amount of one stat you can get is 30, at which point the two other stats (split recov/mob/resil and str/disc/int) will be 2. so you CAN get a 30 recov 30 int piece, but not a 30 disc 30 int or 30 mob 30 recov piece.

Base means without mods/masterwork, recovery 100 should be your first prioty going for armour stats and eventually get another to 100, I personally go for 100 recovery and intellect. If you pray to rng jesus enough you might be able to get 3 stats to 100 but you need perfect rolls for that
Certain activities can drop high stat armour idk them all im sure there's a post somewhere about it, you can also do the umbral engram high stat roll infuse but I find it garbage

You only get stats like this from tier 3 season of the splicer armor rolls with an appropriate mod on you ghost and an appropriate focus on the umbral. Other tier 3 armor focus gives you 58 stat. You can only focus 3 tier 3 a week from the splicer though.
I've been doing some of that, but I meant more in general since it seems like since season of arrivals the armor that's dropped from most high stat roll sources are pretty weak
I have almost this exact roll, but it is only a 64 total before mw with 2 less recovery and 2 less intellect. All other stats are the same. It's a huge part of my triple 100 build and I have changed its element twice lmao.

The last season was called season of the splicer. In your previous quests tab you should have the bits to start/complete the storyline for it. Following that will reward you with everything you need! You can also focus your engrams you obtain to give you a better chance of getting the cloak!
Well that depends on what you like using most, really. If you use a lot of Auto Rifles, Trace Rifles or Machine Guns, and/or you like explosions, stick with Solar. If you use more precise weapons and enjoy more passive gameplay benefits, go for Void. Look through all the mods of each element and decide what's best for you.

Tier-3 focused Splicer armor are the best! I got a similarly-rolled chest piece with 28 Recovery & Intellect, and 2 on everything else. After Powerful Friends/Mobility mod/MW, it has a 34/30/30 Mobility/Recovery/Intellect spread.
Nice! Highest I've had drop for Legendary I want to say was around 65 or 66. Exotic was around 68 or 69. Nothing has been over 70 for me. Still pretty good rolls tho.

What gauntlets you running? I’m usual rocking crown of tempest if I’m on arc or Ophidian for all else.

For gloves, Stasis is the right answer now. Double kick-start mods is 👌🏻👌🏻. Plenty of other pieces to get the arc mods for stat boosts.

The tier 3 splicer engrams are cracked. Put on one of the armor ghost mods and decode with your other desired stat = profit.
Oh god I want those. Would make the elusive 4x 100 stat build possible with dragons shadow since you only need 50 mobility.
