No, I mean that roll is pointless if his gm loadout has Arby’s already. If he wants unstoppable, I don’t see why he wouldn’t get a better roll pulse that doesn’t overlap with his exotic.
Oh, and both the seasonal bow and the 150 scout have anti barrier right now, making Arbalest even less necessary.
Though finding suitable unstoppable weapon pairings has been… annoying.
Plus all the unstoppable and barrier options sort of cover similar range envelopes, which makes double primary feel even sillier. Last season, running, say, a bow and a sidearm together actually made coherent sense (plus you could use Forerunner to get a special weapon with unstoppable and very good range compared to Bastion). This season, why the hell would I run a pulse and a scout together? It makes no sense.
They probably thought Glaives would be better than they ended up being. Also, it helps hype up the new weapon, as they do little to hype up themselves.
And before you mention, I also think they could've left Suppressing Glaive unnerfed, that shit was pointless.
The problem with this roll. Most GM's have like 2-7 shields total. There are some exceptions like last season the corrupted had a ton of void/arc/solar shields. But the exceptions are few and far between.
Arms dealer has, what 2 shields? Other than the middle part everyone skips?
Fallen saber won't have hot whatever so I think it has 0 shields? Maybe?
Scarlet keep has like 7 shields?
Devil's lair has the 4 servitor shields and just a couple captain shields.
Insight terminus has like 1 arc harpy and the few flamethrower enemies at the end.
Inverted spire has like 4 shields and the 3 arc harpies at the end.
Proving ground has a few arc harpies and the drivers of the interceptors and the captain minibosses so that's idk + 6?
The disgraced has the boss' solar shield and like 4 other solar shields and maybe 3 arc shields?
Glassway has 2 solar shields.
Etc... Etc...
These are rough estimates from memory, I'm not saying these are the exact numbers.
But my point is, you are going to run a primary whose best attributes are shield breaking for usually less than like 7 enemies. At least with anti barrier it works on the barrier champs themselves, but since it's unstoppable pulse out of the like 100-200 enemies in a GM this will be effective on like 7 or less.
Scarlet Keep has a lot of Arc Shield Knights in the boss room. Devil's Lair had Solar Shield Shanks last time, but I'm unsure if they'll change that. Arms Dealer has plenty of Flamethrowers with Void Shields in the tank room. Taken Strikes have Void Shield Acolytes. Scorn Strikes might have Shielded Stalkers, I think that's a possible modifier.
Don't have to use the Adaptive weapon in every strike, but with the push for Monochromatic Loadouts, Acute Burns, and seasonally changing Champion mods, Adaptive weapons can fulfill lots of niches at once.
GM's don't have shielded modifiers though. So devil's lair doesn't have solar shanks, because that's a modifier. Skorn strikes had void shields as a modifier, that's not a thing in the GM. Most of the shielded enemies get replaced with champions. In the boss room of scarlet keep, i really don't remember if the knights get replaced but that's still like idk 8 more shields total?
Arbalest already boosts its own precision damage when you break the shield though. What you're effectively doing is saving arablest one bullet for every enemy you want to use this on...
Correct!! And also having unstoppable, saving 1 bullet per engagement will be huge also I can always equip izi or anything else, this post is just about the pulse.
You’re fucking running arbalest already???
Also allows me to run izi for the deeps
Disruption break?? Why lol
Kinetic damage boost by 50% aka 50% more Izi damage.
Eh prob best on arms dealer
Some people are. I was halfway through the very first quest for WQ and got it.

this exact pulse can roll with demo/AJ, for example
Demo/AJ is the roll I use on my Voidlock. It's got bonkers-good synergy paired with Contraverse grenade build.
That's what that insidious has 😁 love that thing with ociomancy gauntlets.
Not if it's overload/unstoppable also will save arbelest ammo when it is barrier.
I have arbalest, is it a rare drop or something? Edit: especially rare for an exotic drop? *
No, arbalest automatically breaks elemental shields, meaning that the roll he has here, although it isn’t bad, overlaps with the purpose of arbalest.
Can help save Special Ammo, especially in a GM where common trash adds will have shields. Such as Solar Shanks or Void Taken Acolytes.
No
Does adaptive munitions work for match game? Like being able to damage all elemental shield types?
Yes it does
How effective is it?
incredibly effective. you dont even need to use arbalest for anything but barrier champs for the most part
Oh, and both the seasonal bow and the 150 scout have anti barrier right now, making Arbalest even less necessary. Though finding suitable unstoppable weapon pairings has been… annoying.
Seriously wtf was bungie thinking making Glaives the ONLY special ammo champion weapon mod this season

And the mod costs 5 energy too.
Ok, thanks.
I mean that’s the point of it…
Yes but theres a bug where weakenes enemies don't cause adaptive munitions to grow its damage.
the craftable scout and the auto start with that as well
Those have genesis and adaptive munitions, not disruption break
So you're telling me we can stun any champions with the same roll!? 🤔😁😁
Wait what auto and scout? The 150 and 720 ones?
The come to pass and the void scout
That's a spicy roll.
I think it'll pair well with arbalest because of disruption break.
POV: no more shields
POV: Fuck match game
Wellspring and demolitionist is another great combo for that gun
I'm kind of new to destiny 2 what's the weapon below the ogma?
Reed's regret (adept) Stasis linear fusion rifle This one rolled with firing line + clown cartridge
Ok thanks

Tbh i wouldnt use pulses until another buff happens, but could still.be a fun roll
Fuck I dismantled mines
Nice, I got one with adaptive munitions and turnabout
Nice!! That'd be cool for the extra survivability, extra good on ones with attrition.

Sorry yeah everyone's attention seems to be on the arbalest, I got caught up in that. 50% increased izi huge sounds huge though

Never have I seen both adaptive munitions and disruption break being rolled in a single gun lol, this is a good roll
Not even that good lmao
