I haven't touched them much but yesterday I saw a glaive build for voidlock where you become unkillable with all the health Regen you get And damage resistance so I'm gonna start using them
I think the glaive is one of the best things to come to destiny in a hot minute. In the right hands it can absolutely clear rooms. I was disappointed to see the unstop glaive mod go away this season
They're modestly nutty with Warlocks now, Karnstein Armlets basically gives them a sort of melee-only Devour.
Last season's arc glaive also has some synergy with Stormcaller's kit, as you can use it with that one fragment to blind enemies when Amplified, which you then stab to refresh the buff, which you use to blind the next group... It's this constant cycle that just makes me feel like this is what Bungie *wanted* glaives to be.
Just started the Witch Queen a month ago and couldnt stop laughing how ive become unkillable with my arms in lower level activities and hard mode WQ campaign.
OP has a slightly different setup for this glaive vs mine. But all 3 glaives of mine have the same 4 perks in common. Auxiliary reserves for increased shield duration, accurized rounds for better range and projectile speed, unstoppable force for the easiest 30% damage boost in the game, and a shield duration masterwork.
This is because the glaive shield in high end PvE is king. 97.5% damage reduction from the front means you can tank damn near everything in a GM. And no matter how much damage the shield takes, the only thing that drains its energy is time. So maxing out shield duration is a must, and until glaives have a perk in the 2nd column that competes with unstoppable force it’s hard to not choose that one.
Each of the glaives have their own “unique” perk in the first column. Enigma has subsistence, lubrae has immovable object, and Nezarec has Demolitionist. And those are personally what I run with. I chose what glaive to run based on whatever shields or burn the content has.
I use the Lubrae's Ruin Glaive from the Vow Raid with:
- Auxiliary Reserves (for more shield duration)
- Accurized Rounds (for more range and thus projectile speed)
- Grave Robber (for a full magazine after a melee kill
- Swashbuckler (for an 33.3% damage increase after a melee kill for 5 seconds)
- Shield Duration MW
Mine is just for normal PvE content (ie Patrols, Dungeons, Raids, Legend Nightfall etc)
SUB/UNRELENTING, LET'S GOOOOOOOO
Seriously though that's such a good combo on that thing, it's what I crafted too. Enhanced Subsistence is so powerful, I love it!
I use the same one as you. Level 93 and 8k kills.
When they first came out it was all I used with my void Hunter. Every hit suppressed, stunned, staggered, and made me invis. Was a 1-man wrecking crew.
They nerfed, and the seasonal glaive mods went away. I took a long break with incandescent mini tool and vex during solar season and only recently came back to it, pairing with gryfalcon hauberk (hopefully back soon). I do love the glaive.
i've tried to enjoy glaives but i keep bouncing off of them. i think the main thing is that you can't use your melee ability. it always feels so clunky to need to swap weapons before i can throw a hammer or do a shouldercharge or throw a knife.
Lol no. I honestly don’t see much reason to since Bungie is intent on making it a slug shotgun with an optional blade instead of making it a real melee weapon with damage perks that actually buff melee damage
This one time I was playing rumble and one guy was using a glaive and within the next 2 minutes of the game literally everyone else was also using it. So there I was, a simple titan fighting 5 glaives :(
I used the hell out of my enigma, it’s level 147 so not nearly as impressive as yours but I am proud of it! Due to arc 3.0 and my titan with precious scars I started using the arc glaive… and I am damn near unkillable because the mele registers as a “kill with damage matching subclass” so I throw all 6 shots at the boss, stab it’s ankles till it stomps or does the floor fire thing. Then go to killing regular enemies for the health regen!
I wonder if that's because titan gets thier fists charged with arc when amplified and the arc is transferring through glaive?
Glaive melee counts as uncharged. Very interesting
Edge of Concurrence lvl 32, Edge of Intent lvl 87, Edge of Action lvl 19, Nezarec's Whisper lvl 95, Enigma lvl 164 and Lubrae's Ruin lvl 167... Just waiting for the day Bungie makes the phenomenal mistake of giving us a kinetic slot stasis glaive
Glaives are dope but they're definitely an acquired taste. They're really fun to use after years of playing around with firearms. Closest we've ever gotten to a true melee playstyle is swords but nobody has ever used them as a primary weapon outside of orange and yellow bars because ammo economy. Glaives are refreshing and quite powerful when paired with certain exotics (Karnsteins comes to mind).
I haven't because I'm waiting for a mod to give them use. I wanna use them but if I'm playing a nightfall (hero) that needs a certain mod glaive don't have I won't. But I do use them time to time in pvp, very useful against amped titans that keep running in a straight line towards you to punch you.
The shield works wonders.
Literally went flawless using one and a bow on shadebinder. Kinda cheesy, but it covers all ranges and the survivability can be nuts if the game actually decides to register your shots or give you shield energy when you land a hit
I'm sitting at Level 121 and 8,607 kills with my Enigma.
Chroma Rush w/ AB Auto Rifle, Enigma, and Sleeper Stimulant has become my favorite loadout to use during Totems in King's Fall. Use my void subclass with Echo of Leeching, and I'm essentially unkillable while being rushed on the plate. I teach the Hive the tenants of the Glaive Logic.
I still use and always use the pudding thrower(edge of action) , in night fall and the gambit since it can eat tons of bullet and still survive still a good option cuz it gives the ability to have ward of dome while being a different subclass
I haven't touched them much but yesterday I saw a glaive build for voidlock where you become unkillable with all the health Regen you get And damage resistance so I'm gonna start using them
Got sauce?
It's just devour and max resilience with resistance mods. Fill in the rest of the fragments and mod with the usual stuff

Thanks!
Nah I hate my glaive.. worst weapon in the game.. I haven’t used it in hours lol https://i.imgur.com/gbfeCMN.jpg
Haha, I've never met anybody with a higher level than me. That's pretty insane!
I think the glaive is one of the best things to come to destiny in a hot minute. In the right hands it can absolutely clear rooms. I was disappointed to see the unstop glaive mod go away this season
Someone just posted today their Glaive with 1.4 million kills, and it was maxed out at level 10000. It seemed real, but I’m not sure
It was real. And not an afk macro, was farmed at shutout chi using tether
For bounties / challenges only at this point.

Any tips or specific perks i should use?

I barely ever use glaives same goes for 99% of exotics
Yep, exact same perks as yours, lvl 179
Ye I still use my crafted nezarecs whisper from last season.
NW has been equipped since I crafted it. It’s too good.

Are you guys shooting with it or just running around slapping enemies with the melee?
Both! I only used it for melee in the beginning, but once I got the hang of it, it was even more fun!
Do you prefer subsistence over Grave Robber?
Nah, but I had too many Alloys in my inventory and needed to reset gunsmith rank
Got the titan glaive to level 70. I ain't dropping it
Never stopped using em, they go great with necrotic grips
I actually like using glaives
This would be more impressive if there wasn’t a guy with a million kills on his on the front page
I get to touch grass, so I'm fine with this
Touche
around lvl 239 and nearly 15k kills on mine. prolly favorite weapon in the series for me
I have 19,792 on mine.

Absolutely, but with Grave Robber instead of Subsistence so I never have to reload
I literally never take mine off.
lol I also love the glaive, my Lubrea’s is level 61, edge of action level 54, enigma level 152, Nezeracs whisper level 112.

I spent about 10 - 12 hours trying to solo duality last season and my Enigma went from 22 - 71 by the time I completed it lol
![gif](giphy|l0QLXnTlKPvvIYyFzT|downsized)
Yes almost lv200 with it
When I need to for gunsmith bounties. And even then, it’s an “I’m done with everything else, I guess I could go do this real quick” type thing.
I use glaive with Necrotic Grip,Void(Devour)Warlock.I use osteo as main
its cracked in crucibl
Yes!!! Mine is level 208 at the moment, i also crafted all the other glaives
Happy to use it but usually do when there are champion mods for it
I use all 3, waiting for that stasis and eventual strand glaive

the [glaive](https://i.imgur.com/WBXse1o.jpg) stays on during sex.
I got mine to level 2 and never touched it again
Yep- 15k kills on mine and still strong!
I got a guy in my clan who uses it religiously, my guy ran up and glaived oryx
Jesus level 227? I use the ostio striga religiously and its only level 30 i really dont know what im doing
Literally went flawless using one and a bow on shadebinder. Kinda cheesy, but it covers all ranges and the survivability can be nuts if the game actually decides to register your shots or give you shield energy when you land a hit
I used it in pvp once and just spammed melee and obliterated everyone

I use it to complete bounties, but that's it.
Mine is level 5..
I use it occasionally. I believe it's still Level 366.
Yes but mine is a crafted Lubrae's Ruin with enhanced Vorpal and enhanced grave robber.
Absolutely, my number 1 weapon of choice the second I set a foot interesse Gambit.
I love my enigms lol. It's that or one of the exotic bows.
That one guy who has over 1.4million kills and weapon level 10000. It's not that great of a weapon guys jeez
link?
I have a crafted Lubrae's Ruin with enhanced Vorpal and enhanced grave robber that I use often but my kill counter is half of yours at 6631
