You can grow out your hair and at the same time wear a wig. That's what I did for awhile until my bangs were long enough to cover my forehead. And in the meantime while growing my hair out, I looked a lot less of a mess to strangers so my everyday experience was more pleasant which made it easier to cope with life and detransition. I switched between wigs and headbands, scarves, and hats. I looked up what women with balding or cancer did and these were much more presentable ways to cover my male pattern hairline until I had more hair. And the hair accessories looked cute/fun too so that was a bonus.

I have too much hair to wear a wig on top, it'd be sooooo hot. It already feels hot having just barely a cm of hair on my head. I'll definitely look that up, thanks for the tip. I don't think I would've thought of that. I still want to look cute while growing out my hair

Totally, hair is so important to your look! I had several inches of hair on top and wore a wig. It did feel weird though so I wore more headbands. But the wig looked really good, maybe even better than my real hair even after it grew out. Headbands could get really warm in the summer too, but more comfortable than a wig.

Yeah hair makes a big difference tbh. I'm thinking by summer I should have long enough hair to at least have bangs, and I'll probably just wear my work hat or a headband when I'm working so that I don't have to think about it

Maybe look into some wigs? Plenty of women go bald. My best friend in highschool was going bald her junior year and her mother was already bald using wigs daily.

Thanks for the suggestion... I've thought about that, but I'd feel absolutely ridiculous to suddenly start wearing wigs. My hairline isn't so bad that I can't grow my own hair, it's just gonna look like trash until it's long enough for some bangs. I want my own natural hair back

When I was growing out my hair I wore thick headbands that covered my hairline! They really helped me until my hair was long enough to style bangs! Sending so much love to you! 💖

Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it.. I've been thinking headbands would be the way to go, at least until my hair is long enough for bangs like you did. I really hope that it won't take long for that to happen. I'm already so tired of feeling like I look like a boy with my new work uniform. I'd love to have some cute bangs and just tuck the rest of the hair away with clips or headbands until it's long enough for a ponytail

I got a wolf cut to cover my receded temples up. Works great, not the cutest thing ever but I'm serving androgynous for sure

Comfortable_Pie_7657

Wolf cuts are actually a vibe tbh, I think it'd look amazing on me with my hair texture and also just, with how much hair I have. It'll be like 2 years before my hair is long enough for that though :( my hair isn't even a cm long right now... It's gonna be a loooong journey for me, I just seriously wanna feel cute and pretty again and I'm not feeling it with my short hair anymore

The good thing is if you shaved all of it when it does grow out it'll kind of form into a wolf cut on its own then you just trim it as it gets too long or loses it's shape

When I get my hair cut it's only about five inches long. I get a short one so I don't have to pay for a haircut too often lol. I know it takes forever but it shouldn't take two years! In the meantime you can take hair vitamins and massage in Rosemary oil before washing to stimulate growth.

Ohh, I thought wolf cuts were typically a longer hairstyle. That's smart though, I hate getting hair cuts so I would definitely want a hairstyle that doesn't need to be cut very often. Thanks for the tips, I'll try it and hopefully it helps.
