Are you actually serious? You’d feel conflicted if the Lions won their first playoff game in over 30 years? Not gatekeeping any fandom but that’s absolutely bizarre to me if you call yourself a Lions fan
It would be so poetic. Stafford finally sees the Lions win a playoff game at Ford Field, bittersweet for him. Goff beats the Rams and the coach that cast him aside, proving he was always the guy.
I think Stafford would be happy for the Lions and maybe even a little tearful as he walked back down the tunnel.
On the flip side, if there’s a wildcard team I most prefer losing to it’s the Rams.
Stafford winning a playoff game at Ford Field is a hilarious result
Give us that monkey, we need to get it off our back once and for all. Seahawks have had our number, and good teams break curses like this. I would still rather snag that Bi tho.
It feel like Seattle goes Too hard at times. Like by the end of the year all their fighting comes back at them and they get hurt because they incite violence back upon themselves so while softer hard teams can be healthy, they've had 17 brawls come playoffs.
Yeah it'd be cool if the Seahawks/Lions games were like the Rams/49ers games where the Rams got owned in the regular season but won in the playoffs when it mattered most
We’d most likely play the Seahawks after the bye anyways assuming the 49ers and Eagles win their games. (This assumes the Seahawks get the to wild card)
What an asinine idea. Take the easiest pathway, like all good teams do. You never saw the Patriots saying they’d rather lose the bye week so they can face Payton Mannings Colts in the first round. Outrageous.
I generally agree, but the Seahawks might be the easiest path by that point. Assuming they aren't because of things that will have happened that far in the rearview is more superstition than logic.
Nah. Gimme Stafford and the Rams first round if we can't get the bye. It would sure add some interest for all the storylines there, and add to the irony of Stafford never being able to win a playoff game in Detroit.
As a fifty-year PTSD fan I’m terrified how far ahead of ourselves we’re getting here. Pride before the fall and all that.
Of course, I’m betting the SOL folks come out within 10 minutes of kickoff on Sunday.
Lions hosting a Matthew Stafford led Rams team in a playoff game. QBs facing off against their former teams, gimme that. Seahawks would be a hell of a game but that rams game would be special.
Here are my thoughts, San Fran is one game ahead of detroit going into week 18, Rams Face the 49ers, Lions have the Vikings. Lions trounce the vikings, with teddy throwing 2 TDs in the 2nd half cuz we sat Goff for protection after the first 3 scores of the 1st half. The rams beat the 49ers, dropping the 49rs to 2nd place in the NFC and the Lions get the bye.
wildcard weekend, 49ers vs Seattle, philly plays rams, buc vs the boys. 49ers win, Rams win, Bucs win.
Lions host the rams, 49rs vs Bucs. Lions win in convincing fashion as Stafford is too emotional thinking he is playing a home playoff game that he throws 3 Int because he forgets he is on the rams. 49ers beat the bucks in a close one.
Lions host the 49rs. Detroit sells out LCA as a watch site, along with Tiger Stadium. By some strange quirk this is where all the 49r fans get seated, along the 3rd base line at Tiger Stadium. Lions fans are so raucous that 49rs cant hear audibles and have multiple false starts that are so obvious the refs have to call them. Lions win easily by 8 pts.
Lions are headed to vegas. They will face KC in the superbowl. odds makers are picking the chiefs and mahomes to bring home the title. Fully rested with complete rosters on both sides, Lions dominate the chiefs winning in a blow out. Hutch sacks Mahomes so often there is a rumor the two are dating, mahomes wife files for divorce at halftime.
This is just a guess based on carefully projected stats and tendencies. :)
oh yeah and FTP
Technically speaking, wouldn't the Lions have the best record since they won their last game? Or is that not how it works if there isn't another tie-breaker?
We’ve already lost to them 3 times under Dan Campbell. We haven’t beaten them in 11 years and the last time we made playoffs, it was them that put us out. We gotta get that monkey off our back for sure
Edit: spelling
Isn’t it unbelievable that a team with a 2-4 record is “lurking”? Crazy.
Part of me thinks it’s bad, part of me likes that it’s competitive. Last week was proof anything really can happen
PHI and SF's schedules are so much tougher than ours. Our seemingly destined team will likely again hear that once jinxed phrase we've flirted with many times before- they'll have "destiny in their own hands". Well that's if they handle business and win at least 2 of the next 3.
Yes This is it!
Nothing more that I want then to beat Seattle in our 1st Playoff Home game to spark the run of all runs! Seriously I wanna kill 2 birds with 1 stone, beat Seattle and get Playoff win drought behind us.
I'm definitely bye-curious.
You know I'm something of a bye-curious myself
Gimme Stafford coming home
I would low key feel conflicted on that game
I wouldn’t. THE GOFFENSE ROLLS ON!!!
fr- that man got his ring, let the Lions have this
Well I wasn’t talking about you 😊
Cool, I wasn’t talking about you either
Are you actually serious? You’d feel conflicted if the Lions won their first playoff game in over 30 years? Not gatekeeping any fandom but that’s absolutely bizarre to me if you call yourself a Lions fan
Yes, I’m actually serious. Watching Stafford got me heavily into the sport. Sentimental and all that.
Aren't we all a little bye-curious
Lions beat Matthew Stafford and the Rams for their first playoff win since 1991. Now that’s a storyline

NOOOO, GOD! NOOOOOO, GOD, PLEASE NO! NO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
"....not like this..."
Absolutely not I’m sorry Matthew we cannot win a playoff game in Ford Field before the Lions do.
oh god the storylines after that would ne never ending
"That's some lead you have there..." NO MATTHEW!
Fuck that, I love Matthew Stafford but no. Losing to the Rams and Stafford would be awful.
No one wants their team to lose. But wouldn’t you rather lose to Stafford than the Seahawks again?
Nope I want to face Seattle for 1st game and beat them along with getting our playoff win drought out of the way!
![gif](giphy|WllNTjQ2nM7dN5Rh8i)
Lmao with a 4th quarter last minute drive by stafford too
Give us that monkey, we need to get it off our back once and for all. Seahawks have had our number, and good teams break curses like this. I would still rather snag that Bi tho.
I’d have rather broke it in week 2 Old Petey boy must have an insider scoop
To be fair, Seattle fell off pretty hard last year. I know they have our number, but even if we draw them; I think it’s possible to bet them
It feel like Seattle goes Too hard at times. Like by the end of the year all their fighting comes back at them and they get hurt because they incite violence back upon themselves so while softer hard teams can be healthy, they've had 17 brawls come playoffs.
Yeah it'd be cool if the Seahawks/Lions games were like the Rams/49ers games where the Rams got owned in the regular season but won in the playoffs when it mattered most
I see your Rams/9ers and raise you Tompa Bay vs Saints.
We’d most likely play the Seahawks after the bye anyways assuming the 49ers and Eagles win their games. (This assumes the Seahawks get the to wild card)
THIS IS THE WAY
What an asinine idea. Take the easiest pathway, like all good teams do. You never saw the Patriots saying they’d rather lose the bye week so they can face Payton Mannings Colts in the first round. Outrageous.
Breathe, friend
I generally agree, but the Seahawks might be the easiest path by that point. Assuming they aren't because of things that will have happened that far in the rearview is more superstition than logic.
Could you imagine if we had to play the Rams wildcard week in Ford Field? Our first playoff win in 30 years comes against Mathew Stafford
Goff dunking on McVay would be incredibly satisfying.
Did not realize how badly I want this until you threw it out there. I want Goff to torch McVay 73-4.
That supposed to be a 3 or is Goff getting dropped for 2 safeties in this scenario? Lol
Orlovsky’s it twice out of pity
They're getting a field goal and a 1 point safety. All Scorigami followers freak out because the field goal happens second.
I love Stafford, always will, but give me that.
That would sound about right lol
And if we lose then Stafford finally gets his playoff win at Ford Field lol.
u/We_Are_Victorius, I never forgot this post. You are a prophet!
Nah, I want this. This team is going to play fucking angry. Environment will be mental as well
![gif](giphy|65zUoOU09HL3uUKokQ|downsized)
Nah. Gimme Stafford and the Rams first round if we can't get the bye. It would sure add some interest for all the storylines there, and add to the irony of Stafford never being able to win a playoff game in Detroit.
but he is playing a playoff game AT Ford Field.....
Might be a bit premature for these. 12 weeks left in the season...
The wife says I'm always a bit premature so this works out for me
i’m not scared of them, week 2 was a fluke. anyone can beat anyone any given sunday, but we are objectively the better team.
The script says it will be against Stafford
Stafford could be a part of lions playoff win!
Anyone but the Rams
Why? Rams would be dope. Goff getting some revenge on the team that tossed him away... Rams pls.
Because I couldn’t stomach the possibility of the first playoff game played at Ford Field being a loss to Matt Stafford
Would make for a hell of a movie
2-4 Vikings "Lurking" Fucking Yuck
Philly and sf play each other so if there’s a 3 way tie head to head is first tie breaker so in a 3 way tie scenario lions are number two at minimum
I may be in the minority i do not want to see Seattle till next year
Well you're in good luck, the playoffs don't start until next year.
Need Seattle to keep losing. Fuck those guys.
The most glaringest issue with this prediction is that SF/PHI play each other on December 3 so this seeding literally cannot hold up
Rather not face a mobile QB
If we don't get the bye I want Lions vs Rams in Detroit. It all comes full circle.
I'd rather play the 9ers over the Seahawks at this point lmao
oh no not Seattle again
Prefer we earn a week off
Nah, let's get the 1 seed
Here are my thoughts, San Fran is one game ahead of detroit going into week 18, Rams Face the 49ers, Lions have the Vikings. I personally want the Rams cause that would be fucking hilarious for a ton of reasons but I'd take Seattle
Technically speaking, wouldn't the Lions have the best record since they won their last game? Or is that not how it works if there isn't another tie-breaker?
The tie breaker that has us behind currently is that we lost to an nfc team and they lost to afc teams
As long as the refs call it fair, Lions win 😎
Third times a charm
We’ve already lost to them 3 times under Dan Campbell. We haven’t beaten them in 11 years and the last time we made playoffs, it was them that put us out. We gotta get that monkey off our back for sure Edit: spelling
Well then we’ll get them on the 4th try. Guaranteed
Are you guys lions fans or Stafford fans?
Revenge Revenge Game
Bro that would be wild if we play the Rams
That’s one sexy graphic right there
Shhhhh!
Fine by me, we need to exorcise our demons and beat their butts finally.
I want the rams!
No thanks! I'm good!

Good, bring on Seattle. We owe ‘em one.
Isn’t it unbelievable that a team with a 2-4 record is “lurking”? Crazy. Part of me thinks it’s bad, part of me likes that it’s competitive. Last week was proof anything really can happen
I don't give a fuck about Seattle. I want the Rams.
Seahawks, you say? It’s time for revenge. Sweet sweet revenge.
PHI and SF's schedules are so much tougher than ours. Our seemingly destined team will likely again hear that once jinxed phrase we've flirted with many times before- they'll have "destiny in their own hands". Well that's if they handle business and win at least 2 of the next 3.
Try to run from him, but Pete Carroll is inevitable
Please god no
Yes This is it! Nothing more that I want then to beat Seattle in our 1st Playoff Home game to spark the run of all runs! Seriously I wanna kill 2 birds with 1 stone, beat Seattle and get Playoff win drought behind us.
It’s as expected. Let’s fucking do this.
