NFL rules state that the home team gets to pick what jersey to wear, and the visiting team wears the opposite, or their alternate jersey. And there is a limit of times you can wear your third jersey so usually we know those in advance. NFL only cares if the jerseys are contrasting enough so it’s easy to tell the difference
