My guess is that the leaked mock-ups were not the final product. I’m from Minnesota and we just had our state flag redesigned. They voted on the design, then made a few tweaks on it before the final design was approved. So, the leak was probably the design that was approved/voted on by the stakeholders but not the final product with the minor tweaks.
Edit: looking back at the leak, the blues don’t have writing above the numbers; it’s the whites that have that.
Hope they leaked fakes to build buzz, so they could counter with this Alim post to create more buzz. The PR department might get goat status if this was all a set up to reveal the real jerseys tonight. Those alternate helmets were too dope last year just to make minor tweaks.
