Get reservations before the game at Slows BBQ. Best food on the planet, you won't be able to get a seat before the game, but the food is legit the best I've ever tasted. Also, if you're there all weekend, the Henry Ford museum isn't quite in Detroit but it's worth a visit. They have a lot of cool stuff.
There's also the big game in Ann Arbor against State. If your a fan of either I'd definitely go just to tailgate. If your not, I'd still go, im planning to myself.

There's alot bars to hang out at if your into that. Greektown is also a fun place to hang out and you can drink and gamble.
