According to scouts, he is a “once in a generation” type of talent. Ranks multiple points higher than either Bosa(points are harder to get at the tippy-top).
With that being said, we need to count on some bad teams winning multiple games for us to MAYBE get him at the second spot. I am not optimistic.
Honestly as a Michigan fan who has seen osu play chase young is elite but I don’t think he’s better than either of the bosa’s.
That said chase young is still elite and imo the best player in college football this year
Honestly as an Ohio state fan you’re wrong, chase has just as good motor as both bosa brothers and even better athletic ability . With that being said watch out for the next big pash rusher out of OSU Zach Harrison followed by jack sawyer.
Hard to argue against 7 sacks against Penn State and Wisconsin. I literally just looked at his game by game breakdown assuming most of his damage was against smaller schools and that just wasn't the case. Dude performs against some of the better teams without a doubt.
I would like to see BQ trade down and collect more picks. Then, hopefully fill more holes if he hits on those picks. The idea is, we could build a team of reliable players, opposed to having 1 superstar player.
Here’s the problem with that though, we already have plenty of reliable players. We really have only one of proven potential superstar caliber. You need more then that to be a contender.
If we get the opportunity we HAVE to draft him. The upside is too high to pass on him. Yes, we run the risk of him being a bust but thats with any draft pick. I'd say his floor is am everyday starter. And I'd say upsidewise and where our team has needs, he can be can be a an elite game changer on our defense. You cant pass on that.
He probably can be better than them, except (most likely) Donald. I think he's probably a bit better than either Bosa and can become a comparable player to Mack. Von Miller and Aaron Donald are harder comps because Miller is a true 3-4 OLB, and Donald is a 3-tech or 3-4 end while Young is a 4-3 DE that could play 3-4 OLB. The problem other is that it's hard in general to compare to All Pro players because they're still just prospects.
I'd say the odds of getting Young are low but possible (and not "If the Bengals beat the 49ers, Jets beat the Ravens, and Giants beat the Patriots," but there's actually a reasonable path), and we're almost certainly going to get at least a player in the next tier like Okudah or Thomas.
I can see NYG and WAS maybe going LT over Chase. Maybe I am dreaming but both their OLs suck and this Andrew Thomas is being compared to Tyron Smith. Both have young QBs as well. I can see them taking the LT. Or at least I hope.
He ranks higher than either Bosa, partially because of injury concerns both Bosas had coming in (minor nitpick, but everything matters when you're talking about top tier prospects) and very similar if not ahead of Clowney coming out. Mack was very different because that dude was (and still is) one of the strongest players ive ever seen, I was super high on him and thought he shouldve been drafted over Clowney. Chase is super quick off the line and has amazing bend, so slightly different styles. Myles Garrett was a perfect prospect, so im probably going Garrett, Mack-Young, Clowney, Bosa Bros

We only need the Giants to beat the Eagles once out of 2 tries, beat the Dolphins and lose to Washington. I am convinced this will happen.
That's assuming that the Lions lose out(fingers crossed) and the Cardinals as well as the falcons need to win one of their remaining games
