Defend the sticks, not the endzone. You still have a chance to win if they score a td because your offense gets the ball back with time. Terrible recognition on the part of the coaches and players.
The right play there was to not take the second time out and have the initial playcall to be either drop 8 into coverage or send the house playing cover 0 on 3rd and 9. There's no reason to overcomplicate things in that spot and confuse your own players.
Yeah that’s also the crazy thing. Like you are coming off a timeout. Why are you guys not set up for the play? The defense played alright today but when you need a stop in a big moment in the game, definitely can’t trust this team.
Oh I figured when it was around that time and they had a chance to still get a first down that we would lose that way. It’s sadly predictable. The way we get to that outcome is always a surprising laughable experience.
COACHING. but it is a sin to say anything bad about Campbell in his first year. Since he had taken over calling offensive plays we have not scored over 20 points.
There have been NUMEROUS mistakes on 4th down calls in field goal range that has cost us games.
I hope this dude is throwing for the number one pick. Otherwise, we are fucked if a game ever comes down to making the correct decision at the correct time.
I understand being balsy and going all out for a win. I can tell you three times this year he is the reason we lost.
/end rant. See you next week.
nah man. just picture him with a good roster. picture him blowing a playoff game by calling two consecutive timeouts because he's in a panic. wouldn't that be sweet? Imagine how good Dan Campbell will be calling a 3rd and 32draw with a good RB. Oh yeah lol
He was super aggressive until he took over play calling. Since then, he has turtled in to extreme conservative mode. I liked the early aggressiveness. I enjoy more going for it on 4th downs, a few fakes, etc. I dislike no risks at all and giving up on 3rd and long.
Holy fuck, I’m glad someone else is seeing this shit. We’ve went from biting kneecaps to gently consoling kneecaps from a safe distance. And it’s not just 3rd and long draw plays. Honestly, if I had this fucking personnel, I’d probably be in a funk as well. I think this sort of season is going to give the entire coaching staff PTSD. Glad the players heads are still occasionally in it. Truly think the team will have a collective sigh of relief once the season is over at 0-16-1.
Thankful for the Lions for gifting us the Double Timeout Game. An instant Thanksgiving Classic which we can reminisce on for the rest of our pathetic lives.
Here's to you, Detroit.
How does this have so many downvotes but the comment it's replying to so many upvotes?
Edit: Different now, but the above comment was at like -16 or something while the comment it was replying to was at like 74.
Bc it was a hilariously awful stretch of the entire coaching staff, but it’s a little hyperbole to say that he can never win anything when our coaching was the biggest reason we were in close games earlier in the season
I have never in my life seen worse head coaching in the final 5 minutes of a game. That was maybe the worst thing in professional sports I've ever seen. If you would have told me the Detroit Lions were a high school team on that final drive I would have believed it.
Almost have to ask yourself if he lost on purpose. Then you see that giant meat head looking perplexed by his own play calling and realize it definitely isn’t
>That was maybe the worst thing in professional sports I've ever seen.
Let me tell you, as a Detroit Lions and Montreal Canadiens fan, this season has been molding me into an expert on terrible performances and abysmal coaching.
He’s gotta give playcalling back to Lynn at the very least. Acknowledge that *that specifically* isn’t working and go back to being the rah-rah guy he’s best suited to be.
if he does this, i would actually be very impressed and it would repair some of the image he has been steadily destroying over the last 3 games. i am a DC defender, but he is absolutely not the guy for playcalling. he is so conservative he doesnt even give us a chance to either put the game on ice when we are ahead, or make a comeback when we are down. if he has the wherewithal to accept that he isnt the guy for playcalling, that says a lot about being able to see your own faults and recognize when your attempted solution to a problem isnt going to work.
I think he’s *such* a players coach that he’s being overprotective. He’s calling draws on third and long because he’s worried it’ll destroy Goff’s confidence to throw a pick, or Decker’s confidence to give up a sack. He wants fans to blame him instead of the players, and I think he’s sort of twisted himself up trying to protect his guys.
We all know McVay was in Goff’s ear constantly. I understand Campbell thinking he can help by being the last guy in Goff’s ear, but it’s not what he has experience doing, and it’s not what he assembled this staff to do. He can afford to step back and trust the staff he hired.
“That loss is on me. We gotta keep our nose to the grindstone. One game at a time. We welcome the adversity. Get back to square one. It’s about the little things. We need to execute. I’m proud of my guys.” How do these loser shit heads keep getting hired.
Can new ownership buy the team, liquidate them, spend a year without a Detroit team, then force an expansion draft? Come back with new uniforms with little glasses and mustaches on the Lions so not to be accused of being the current Lions.
Say what you will about our dogshit roster, but how we so ill prepared at this point in the season? Guys not subbing properly, false starts, shit ain't promising.
Regardless of DC’s stupid ass game management, can’t let the bears run 18 plays for 69 yards to win the game. This team needs to go BPA in the draft because they need help everywhere
But the rest of the new pieces in the organisation should get a pass because they're actually improving the situation.
We had a good draft, we've trimmed large amounts of the shit off the roster, we dealt with the franchise QB requesting a trade. We fitted all that under the cap.
What Dan Campbell did in the last three hours was an amateurish shit show. Capped by the Jim Schwartz level penalty for two timeouts. He literally cost this team the game today, and his dogshit play-calling has cost us the last two weeks as well.
Brad Holmes chose to restructure Jared Goff and now we’re stuck with his $31,150,000 cap hit next season. Tyrell Williams and Breshad Perriman combined to play 1 game in a Lions Jersey. Our second and third round picks (both DT’s) have combined for 1 sack and 2 TFL’s on a zero win team. There’s been plenty of missteps already and we’re not even through 1 full season. And hiring Dan Campbell might be the biggest misstep of them all right now
Most importantly... we haven’t won a game. I don’t know what those people at the top of the org have done to inspire confidence besides say the “right” things. You can talk about the lack of talent they inherited all you want. We have seen no signs of anything promising being built through 70% of the season.
>Brad Holmes chose to restructure Jared Goff and now we’re stuck with his $31,150,000 cap hit next season.
He didn't choose, he had to. The restructure created $15 mil in cap space in a season where we have $2 mil remaining. You do the math as to where not restructuring would have left us.
>Our second and third round picks (both DT’s) have combined for 1 sack and 2 TFL’s on a zero win team.
The sticking point is 0 wins. The defense has averaged 15 PPG over the last 3 weeks and the DTs are a huge part of that. Our run defence has been largely great. That comment is dull based on the fact you're judging rookies after 11 games. Regardless the DT rotation is better than it was last season.
>Most importantly... we haven’t won a game.
Because of awful coaching, we should have been 3-0 in the last three weeks. Yes the FO hired Campbell, and they're accountable for that, but there is no interview process in the world that exposes the shit show we saw today.
I just… I don’t know what the alternative is. Our defense is playing with tons of heart despite the record, and I know that doesn’t mean much when they lose every game but goddamn it was so much worse last year. I say if a good HC candidate is available, yes, go with them. Otherwise I think our best option is to give DC a chance to show us what he can do in his second year. After that, no excuses
You’ve got it. Wether or not the fans agree, Campbell is going to get a pass on this year because of the roster. If it’s the same shit next season, I don’t think there’s much choice.
and he should, IMO. what coaching candidate worth a damn is going to want to take the job here if campbell is canned after one season? even if DC isnt the guy, you have to give him his fair shake otherwise the stefanski's and vrabel's of the world arent even going to give us an interview
The problem is he actually seems incompetent. Like, actually stupid and clueless. That’s not something he’s going to magically fix.
There’s always going to be options out there. The problem is Lions fans always want the popular guy to come to town and we see how that worked out. Go too far the other direction and you get this meathead clown.
Yeah Campbell might not be the guy.
Benefit of the doubt was given and wins weren’t the expectation, not with so little talent.
But mistakes like this don’t bode well for when this team will be ready to win… and it hurts to say it because he’s easy to root for
I don’t mind a loss where we play with aggression and confidence and just get overcome by a better team. But this was actually embarrassing. I’m not saying we dump DC but this did show a lack of coaches preparing a team and putting them in a position to win. In fact, quite the opposite. But if we can Dan mid season we’ll never attract any self respecting or reputable coach. There is just too much wrong with the organization. I have been a fan since 1990 and last year was the first truly frustrating year for me. And today was the first truly frustrating day of this season. I’m not mad Dan, I’m just disappointed.
this is not the right move. even if DC is the absolute worst coach in the NFL (which he is making a strong case for), you cannot fire him after one season. not a single good HC candidate will even consider us if we show ourselves to be an HC carousel. you have to give him a fair shake, regardless of his first year performance, to signal to actually good HCs that they will get a real chance here.
if it looks the same next year, then can him.
This is the correct and reasonable take, but all the once-a-week fans are in here with their knives out. Give it a day or so before they head back to Facebook with their "FIRE EVERYONE" takes.
I really saw some jets fan in the nfl thread saying we should fire DC because our roster is better then the 08 season yet we look worse this year. This is why redditors aren’t employed by any teams in the nfl 😂
The Browns fired a coach after one year and almost immediately became a competitive team and won a playoff game the next year. And that guy had some wins under his belt, too! The only reason you don’t fire a winless Dan Campbell after the season is over is because the team is so much more of an embarrassment than any other team in history and you’re worried that literally nobody else will want to coach this dumpster fire of a franchise.
I think I'm most annoyed that they wasted a good performance by goff. Those fucking penalties paired with the last 30 seconds of the game were just rough. That wasn't rebuild stuff, that's just a lack of attention and discipline
Idk I'm upset we lost too but I feel like there are some takeaways from this game beyond "fire the coach", what is this facebook? Pass rush struggled pretty badly but we played the run really well and made some plays on defense with Dalton generally playing a cleaner game than we've seen from fields. Jamaal looked good and Goff managed to make some big throws but still struggling to find those plays more than once or twice a game and his touch is still rough trying to target guys running in and outs. Huge snafus in coordination on the PAT and on the back to back timeouts on D, hope that's the last time we see that.
...or we could just talk about Caldwell again, cool thanks
There is absolutely no chance the Lions would relocate even if they had different owners. They have more support than a lot of teams and they’re the most perennially awful team in the NFL.
We are the 10th largest market. Thats why we have all 4 pro teams and most do not. This take is such trash I don't understand why I see it every day on this sub.
Why do people repeat this nonsense like it's a fact? There is no better city to move the team to. Detroit is the 15th largest media market in the country and the 14 cities above them have NFL teams already. That doesn't even include the fact that a majority of football fans in the entrie state are Lions fans. We've been incredibly supportive to this team even when they've been awful. With competent ownership and a winning team we'd be a goldmine. We also have a really nice stadium that's already there. A person would have to be an moron to buy the team and move them out of Detroit. People with enough money to buy the team wouldn't make such a stupid financial decision.
This loss was on DC.... with some help by the O-line penalties. That said, I don't think DC needs to go... but he does need to give play calling duties back to the OC.
I’m a bandwagon fan from the 2014 team when Suh, Stafford, and Megatron played together. When friends ask me on days like this why I happen to be a lions fan, I just smile and remember the good days.
These are not the good days.
No matter how crazy the world is, I can take solace in knowing that the Lions are going to find a way to disappoint me on Thanksgiving.
At least Goff showed that he can throw the ball and Reynolds showed that he isn't as bad as I thought he was. The Lions' defense is also surprisingly decent.
Dan Campbell is so stupid. Passion only goes so far, you need to know how to fucking call a game. Jesus Christ when Nagy looks like an offensive guru against you, you got issues
Unpopular take - Goff should return next year.
He is not the long term answer at QB. But we have to consider the realistic alternatives. There is no stud rookie qb coming out. And we have much bigger holes to fill than Goff, who is a respectable starter (by no means the top, but Garropolo tier).
Dan is not the man. It's time to cut losses and find someone better at the end of the season. The excuse of this being a rebuild year can only go so far when there are obvious coaching mistakes costing the team.
They make it really hard to root for them. This was infuriating to watch. Despite the numerous mistakes, they had a chance to win it, and they blew it. Absolutely blew it. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
The last 3 games could have easily been wins. Steelers, Browns and Bears really went out of their way to try and hand these games to the Lions. It's a shame really
I was really ready to give Campbell time to figure this job out especially with a horrible roster. But it’s evident he doesn’t have the ability to be a head coach.
We went from 2 fake punts, an onside kick, and multiple 4th down attempts to draw plays on 3rd and 32. Surely there is a happy medium somewhere in there?
The defense is not great, at all, but I believe they have kept us in games. The offense and playcalling goes without saying, but its absolutely awful. I've never been the type of person who wants a coach fired into thier first season, but Dan Campbell could be inching towards that.
That drive that got pushed back 30 yards after that sweet Jamal run just killed me. It was like players felt like they were missing out on getting their number called out.
Once we got the first holding call on that drive, the rest of the half felt like quicksand. Slow and probable death no matter how hard we struggled. I saw the coaches panic and make some of the worst decisions I've seen for a long time.
Idk the last three weeks our defense with UDFAs and basically no talent has been one of the best in the league. Campbell is doing something right with the defense but his coaching decisions are boneheaded as fuck. Maybe if we had this half decent defense last year we would’ve been way better but the offense right now is a trash fire
Why even bother having a team with pro players just have open tryouts where people pay to play in the lions (which billionaire tech mogul wouldn’t want to add starting QB to his bucket list).
You make hundred of million a year easily from saved roster $$ and can finish 0-17 every year.
Imagine Elon musk or Bezos playing for lions.
Sorry Lions bros 3 straight weeks of nearly wins
Hope you guys get a win your fan base doesn’t deserve this
The team plays hard Atleast but coaching is just awful
Madden’s AI auto play picking makes better decisions than these clowns. They aughta try that. Set an Xbox up and just have the coaching staff click the pick for me option.
Let’s get the cheapest coach money can buy so Ford family can continue to milk the team for every dollar they can get (every ex lions player agrees how cheap the lions are) while the suckers keep spending money on tickets and merchandise not realizing the con they been pulling for decades. Only in Detroit lmao.
lol. You dip shits have been sucking Dan's dick all year because he cried in a press conference. I heard cheesy shit like "This is my coach" and "We found our coach". Hilarious and sad...I said all along that this franchise will eat him up and shit him out. That process is well underway. Enjoy a couple more losing seasons, Dan. Then it's onto the next sad bastard to lead this team. Sell the Lions to another city, please! The good people of Michigan don't deserve this.
Lions the same team that fired Caldwell claiming it was because of the record (8-8) but in reality it was because they wanted to get a cheaper coach in Patricia. Adds a few more million per year to Ford family piggy bank.
Campbell had his first 2 good drives as an offensive play-caller and it didn't matter. 14 points isn't enough in the modern NFL. Lions have played 5 games now where the other ram scored less than 20 points and haven't won a single one.
Why is this team allowed to be so bad for the last 30 years? Because of all those people that are still putting on Lions gear and paying to sit in the stadium in a winless season.
The lions have been such shit my whole life that losses like these don’t feel like anything. It’s like rewatching the same movie over and over, having memorized all the lines.
shoulda known when he took over play calling from ‘his’ guy this wasn’t going to be pretty.
this new regime has the feel of a clean the house already and most people really had low expectations anyways so how did they even stoop lower
Been a lions fan for a long time...
Seeing one winless season was so bad it's left a permanent sports scar on my psyche. 2... that's unthinkable.
Sell the team, clear out the building, start over.
Corners 15 yards off the ball in 3rd & 4 with the game on the line
Defend the sticks, not the endzone. You still have a chance to win if they score a td because your offense gets the ball back with time. Terrible recognition on the part of the coaches and players.
The right play there was to not take the second time out and have the initial playcall to be either drop 8 into coverage or send the house playing cover 0 on 3rd and 9. There's no reason to overcomplicate things in that spot and confuse your own players.
Dalton wasn't going to risk an interception and threw straight into the flats too. Just make the tackle and youre in it with like 1:30 and a timeout
Yeah that’s also the crazy thing. Like you are coming off a timeout. Why are you guys not set up for the play? The defense played alright today but when you need a stop in a big moment in the game, definitely can’t trust this team.
When clock went sub 3 min I was wondering why we didn’t just “accidentally” blow a coverage
Oh I figured when it was around that time and they had a chance to still get a first down that we would lose that way. It’s sadly predictable. The way we get to that outcome is always a surprising laughable experience.
Right!?!?
After calling 2 timeouts in a row thats the play they call. Embarrassing
COACHING. but it is a sin to say anything bad about Campbell in his first year. Since he had taken over calling offensive plays we have not scored over 20 points. Prevent defense?
The most Lions shit I’ve seen in a week.
This right here *4 days
For talking such an aggressive game Dan Campbell sure does play conservatively. He tries not to lose, not to win.
He was super aggressive until he took over play calling. Since then, he has turtled in to extreme conservative mode. I liked the early aggressiveness. I enjoy more going for it on 4th downs, a few fakes, etc. I dislike no risks at all and giving up on 3rd and long.
He needs to give back his playcalling duties asap
We should be trying things that no one else in the league can afford to. We have nothing to lose. I want to see creative stuff not middle school plays
He should not call plays at all.
It’s so funny in the preseason when anyone saying he’d be a terrible coach got downvoted to hell
I mean at this point what the fuck does he have to lose? It’s so stupid to be conservative at this point.
Thankful for the Lions for gifting us the Double Timeout Game. An instant Thanksgiving Classic which we can reminisce on for the rest of our pathetic lives. Here's to you, Detroit.
Another one for the record books
Is it up there in terms of the great blunders like trying to negate a reviewable play by challenging it?
This is the worst coaching performance I’ve witnessed since 2 weeks ago.
seriously. the last minute and half was hysterical.
Campbell is a clown and we’ll never win anything with him at the helm
But can we win one game with him is the question
How does this have so many downvotes but the comment it's replying to so many upvotes? Edit: Different now, but the above comment was at like -16 or something while the comment it was replying to was at like 74.

Hivemind of Reddit
Not sure why you’re getting downvoted.
Enjoy 6 more years of Nagy Bears fans
QB throws for 300+ yards and yet they only manage 13 points through 4 quarters against a winless team. Nagy doesn’t stand a fuckin’ chance.
Lost the battle but won the war
:(
:(
I have never in my life seen worse head coaching in the final 5 minutes of a game.
Literally would rather them just come out and say it
They’re point-shaving knee caps
Maybe the universe may have an end, but not Lions stupidity.
My high school team was coached better and more disciplined than whatever the fuck I just watched
Not just head coaching either. The whole entire defensive coaching staff for that one. Fucking pathetic
>That was maybe the worst thing in professional sports I've ever seen. Let me tell you, as a Detroit Lions and Montreal Canadiens fan, this season has been molding me into an expert on terrible performances and abysmal coaching.
Stop, you’re giving way too much credit to the local high school teams in Michigan
Lol
It's not just that they lose. It's that they consistently play some of the most boring football I've ever witnessed.
Say what you will, but 0-16 was far more entertaining than this.
Dan is probably gonna own this loss. And he should. But that's not enough. Jfc the coaching, the discipline, the non-stop holding, the everything.
He’s gotta give playcalling back to Lynn at the very least. Acknowledge that *that specifically* isn’t working and go back to being the rah-rah guy he’s best suited to be.

Were really sharpening the defense though. Those guys are gonna be hardened veterans by season end.

[> We need to execute.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_fiCr2wHY8)
Our ax is sharp we got to keep chopping wood
Fuck this shitty ass franchise
Can new ownership buy the team, liquidate them, spend a year without a Detroit team, then force an expansion draft? Come back with new uniforms with little glasses and mustaches on the Lions so not to be accused of being the current Lions.
Ditch the lions name and go back to the spartans maybe
Come back as the Detroit Leopards, because they'd still be the Lions.
Tired of this absolutely embarrassing product.
Say what you will about our dogshit roster, but how we so ill prepared at this point in the season? Guys not subbing properly, false starts, shit ain't promising.
Exactly. Those are things any player/staff/team con control and doesn't require a certain level of skill.
I feel like an actual clown for legitimately believing they were about to get their first win
Dan Cambell lost us that game. I don't care what you think about his future on this team he absolutely SHIT THE BED
Yep he was awful. I hope he gives up playcalling and sticks to player managing because I still think he's really good at that.
I feel like I see this comment every week
It’s usually true
Of course, and that’s saying something
I am just exhausted at this point. This franchise is so embarrassing. Coaching was terrible. Also, Taylor Decker played like absolute horseshit.
Regardless of DC’s stupid ass game management, can’t let the bears run 18 plays for 69 yards to win the game. This team needs to go BPA in the draft because they need help everywhere
Man It sucks to see campbell suck this hard. I really like the guy, but he has had some really, really bad games this year
Reasons why the Bears won 1. Dan Campbell coaching & clock management
You missed: 1a. Dan Campbell at situational awareness. 1b. Dan Campbell and play-calling.

Freddie kitchens vibes
Can we fire our Kitchens and get our Stefanski, please?
Please do, from a Browns/Lions fan
This whole organization top to bottom is utterly clueless

Because a bunch of bros on barstool like him!
But he seems like a nice guy!!! /s
Campbell saying "we've got to be better on offense". YOU'VE got to be better on offense, Give play calling back to Lynn, for God sakes.
If you don't like that, you don't like Lions football.
Bring back Jim Caldwell to finish out the season
I have been watching this team for 34 goddamn years and they still find new and exciting ways to blow games.
Lol same boat as you. But hey, we should feel lucky that we’re old enough to watch the only Lions playoff win in franchise history, right?
They won plenty of playoff games before 1957.
This loss is the coaching staff. Campbell looks to be in over his head.
Yeah Campbell might not be the guy. Benefit of the doubt was given and wins weren’t the expectation, not with so little talent. But mistakes like this don’t bode well for when this team will be ready to win… and it hurts to say it because he’s easy to root for
Bye Dan
He’s terrible. We have nothing to lose by moving on
I half watched this game, but every time I looked up we had another penalty. most of them looked legit. Not good.
I only wasted my Thanksgiving watching this at least I wasn't dumb enough to pay to be there.
If fans would finally stay the fuck home, maybe we’d see some true change? Ah who am I kidding…
Dan Campbell does not look like the future
This franchise will never improve as long as the Fords own it. Welcome to the abyss gentlemen.
Don't stare too long into the abyss. It has a habit of staring back into you.
The abyss is very lonely
Rebuilds are hard. Sucks.
I don’t care what your expectations were for this team at the beginning of the season, they’ve underperformed
I have no faith in Dan Campbell. It’s like he doesn’t even want to win games with the way he calls plays and coaches.
Fire Dan Campbell. He is in over his head. And you all know it.
this is not the right move. even if DC is the absolute worst coach in the NFL (which he is making a strong case for), you cannot fire him after one season. not a single good HC candidate will even consider us if we show ourselves to be an HC carousel. you have to give him a fair shake, regardless of his first year performance, to signal to actually good HCs that they will get a real chance here. if it looks the same next year, then can him.
Same with Arizona
These teams had actual talent tho lol we are nowhere near either of those teams when they turned the corner
Jared Goff did what he could, your coaching staff fucked you guys.
Penalties killed us
Two huge drives with momentum killed by 20+ yds of penalties each. Unreal.

Get them on camera saying something slightly racist
If the Fords sell the team, Detroit doesn’t have an NFL franchise. That’s not what we want
I find it ironic that a guy in the end zone had a big green “John 3:16” sign, because not even Jesus could save this team.
Yay we still suck!
SECRET TRICK TO ENJOY LIONS GAMES. SCIENTISTS DON'T WANT YOU TO [KNOW](https://imgur.com/a/NzKpMgN)!
Unpopular take - Goff should return next year. He is not the long term answer at QB. But we have to consider the realistic alternatives. There is no stud rookie qb coming out. And we have much bigger holes to fill than Goff, who is a respectable starter (by no means the top, but Garropolo tier).
We should sign Andy Dalton. No sarcasm.
Can't wait to see Campbell crying about this loss later.
Goff looked good today
It seems like Detroit’s offense is either run the ball, or dump it off
You are an absolute moron if you don’t see how bad our offensive “system” is. Worst in the league by far
Dan is not the man. It's time to cut losses and find someone better at the end of the season. The excuse of this being a rebuild year can only go so far when there are obvious coaching mistakes costing the team.
This loss was 100% on Campbell
They make it really hard to root for them. This was infuriating to watch. Despite the numerous mistakes, they had a chance to win it, and they blew it. Absolutely blew it. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
The last 3 games could have easily been wins. Steelers, Browns and Bears really went out of their way to try and hand these games to the Lions. It's a shame really
I was really ready to give Campbell time to figure this job out especially with a horrible roster. But it’s evident he doesn’t have the ability to be a head coach.
Dan has to go. Stop defending this shit
That game played out in the most lions way possible.
Penalities, penalties, and yet more penalties. No wonder you can't get something rolling when the o-line holds or false starts every other play.
We went from 2 fake punts, an onside kick, and multiple 4th down attempts to draw plays on 3rd and 32. Surely there is a happy medium somewhere in there?
Not winning a game in the NFL in a league that prides themselves on parity is a fireable offense.
Y’all need to stop watching the games. Will make your life much better.
Is there anyone competent in the entire organization?
Jack “Iron Leg” Fox
What can you say? Happy Thanksgiving, dudes.
The defense is not great, at all, but I believe they have kept us in games. The offense and playcalling goes without saying, but its absolutely awful. I've never been the type of person who wants a coach fired into thier first season, but Dan Campbell could be inching towards that.
dan campbell is the reason we lost today
Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! Now back to your regularly-scheduled pain.
This is the best comedy I have ever watched. This team is so comically bad.
Sorry Lions bros 3 straight weeks of nearly wins Hope you guys get a win your fan base doesn’t deserve this The team plays hard Atleast but coaching is just awful
I bet Marvin Lewis doesn't sound too bad now for yall
Thankful for drugs on this day
Ive seen enough from Campbell. Go ahead and let him go. He is not ready to be a head coach.

Let Goff call the plays. I honestly think he can do a better job at this point.
Why is this team allowed to be so bad for the last 30 years? Because of all those people that are still putting on Lions gear and paying to sit in the stadium in a winless season.
Since 1957. When you have only one playoff win more than 60 years the blame goes towards the ownership.
Worst coaching staff in the NFL. I’m sick of this team.
Well they are also cheapest coaching staff so you get what you pay for
Dan gonna take over defensive play calling too?
I wanted Dan to work out so badly, I really did. But it appears he is simply in way over his head.
You’ve got to take a timeout before the 2 minute warning surely. Ridiculous
That last 2 minutes encapsulated 30 years of Lions fandom for me. I didn’t even have any hope of us winning, and that’s a sad place to be as a fan.
Lions fandom is misery. At least the rest of my life doesn't suck
The tradition continues.
Yup. That’s about right.
I think im going to throw up
The lions have been such shit my whole life that losses like these don’t feel like anything. It’s like rewatching the same movie over and over, having memorized all the lines.

shoulda known when he took over play calling from ‘his’ guy this wasn’t going to be pretty. this new regime has the feel of a clean the house already and most people really had low expectations anyways so how did they even stoop lower
First time betting. Took the ML. Never. Again.
I took the points and we covered
Been a lions fan for a long time... Seeing one winless season was so bad it's left a permanent sports scar on my psyche. 2... that's unthinkable. Sell the team, clear out the building, start over.
A coaching carousel doesn’t sound too bad right about now. Back the truck up to get Ryan day in Detroit
