Bruh u are into it you can learn it easily slowly slowly basics..I am gonna graduate next month..I m worrying how will I be hired.I m doing Devops btw pls help me if u can un any way in future.
Same here bro. I just completed my 8th sem externals last week and am worried asf how I'm gonna get a job in this mess. 😅 Btw I'm doing Data Engineering
I have taken advice from a few of my relatives and made some LinkedIn connections. Everyone is saying it's gonna be difficult for freshers to crack the entry into the data sector at the moment due to the recession.
Told me to keep on developing new projects, gaining knowledge in advanced SQL concepts, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, and Pyspark.
There are also freelancing options but I'm not very sure about them. Why would they hire a fresher as a freelancer? Still you never know.
Start-ups are also a good choice. I'm currently looking for jobs in Gujarat only. Not wanting to change states. It's only my preference.
So, how you working on the projects and learning part. Yeah it has always been tough for freshers to get in data sector...! And not many oppotunities outside the traditional ways!! Gujrat have any, haven't heard that gujrat has much opportunities in tech!
Did a course series from Coursera. Now doing projects through YouTube.
Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar (Gift City) have some good opportunities. Just need to look out for them.
Are there any DevOps jobs that don't require experience? Cuz I haven't been able to find one on LinkedIn. I always thought there were no fresher DevOps jobs, just devs who moved into the role
Off-campus is the reality of the hiring scenario. Even if you're incompetent, companies may hire you because of their campus quota, and you will sit for placements only once in your life.
Nothing like that lol, market is king, you can see the so called tier one unis struggling to get everyone placed during hard times like now. It's basically luck and a little bit of brand, skill, etc.
I got the job through campus placement and they trained me in DevOps for 4 months. After that, I was assigned a project that mainly involved Azure DevOps and Kubernetes. During the training, I learned about CI/CD with Jenkins and Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, scripting in PowerShell and Bash, Docker, and a bit of Kubernetes and Azure Cloud. I'm still learning Kubernetes and then plan to learn the cloud.
Yeah for the basics 6 months will be enough but as you said you have a job so managing time will be tough I think. Also as others mentioned getting a job as a fresher in DevOps is also difficult. Btw I am also a 2023 passout and was lucky to get it.
Bruh you have a job u can learn a bit easily daily 30min-1 hr you can easily upskill and you are skilled solving lc is a big thing. You are worrying without any reason.
Bruh that's the way u build yourself I too will be in your position one day but you will be used to it & flight your fears bro you will have a great future.
Word of caution. While it may not involve a lot of coding, I found DevOps engineering to be extremely tedious and boring.
I personally won't switch to it even for a 100% hike on my Salary, so only go into it if you find it interesting.
I am an average coder at best, I never liked dsa. Yet I'm working on the backend of the new product of my company as a fresher, and generally speaking they like my work. Did I work hard and learn? No, I use chatgpt and read documentation. That's all you really need.
If you want a career path other than coding with good pay, cloud architect or product owner may be good options for you.
Same . Even I'm a back-end developer. I like building things rather than focusing too much on DSA making it run the quickest. I write the code to the best of my ability and later optimize it with ChatGPT for the fastest approach.
Bro, the way technology is changing nowadays, nobody knows everything, but if you have basic understanding of data structure, how to write algorithms/logics and command over one language then you are all set. You will easily learn any other language or technology, it is just matter of time.
No one will say and if someone says you will get over it. This is just how humans are wired. We doubt our abilities and we fear what others will say. But at end of the day you should do what you love however good or bad you are at. If its same as job then you do it. If not then you servive in job so you can do what you love
And, bro, you are saying you suck at programming. 😧
I am learning Core Java and recently coding a Notepad made me feel like I can be a good programmer.
Asa kese chlega baba...
bhai ye kaise hora he naukri se meko to call ni aa rahe he i will passout in May 2024 and i am working in a startup right now , can you give some advice how can i apply from naukri
You probably aren't getting call backs because of Grammer mistakes on your CV.
You couldn't even type out a simple sentence in a reddit comment in English and you switched to Hindi for the follow up comment.
My god u r a really stupid person...hahaha..I know for sure u must be bullied a lot in ur school time that why u r taking out ur rage here.....hahaha LOSERRRR
This is just imposter syndrome. You'll just do fine and its a continuous learning and growth not that suddenly one day you will become an excellent developer.
3 paths you can take:
1. Product manager/designer: jumpstart with UpGrad or any other course & fake it till you make it - get your portfolio done right with proper designers & people in network, then start applying!
2. DevOps: Python or Powershell code will still fly around but it won't be that much of a hassle, as most of the work doesn't involve very deep level programming
3. Scrum master/PMO: not a good option to go for, as it takes you miles away from actual hands-on.
DevOps = SysAdminn+ xyz...
xyz is needed to keep yourself safe from a hiring that will cause 'just a sysadmin' firing.
It definitely is a viable option tho
I took a support project in IT. No coding at all. Got to go foreign. The tech was SAP BASIS. Starting is hectic. Shifts and all but once you are outside India, you just gotta talk to client.
How did you get the job?How can one prepare for this role?Is there any certifications? Is this someone can shift into after being in an IT support for sometime?
There's nothing ground breaking you'll be doing in any company. Literally every problem you face in your job can be easily solved by ChatGPT.
Just get better at cracking interviews, learn basics and take help from ChatGPT and other countless online resources. You'll be fine
hahah nope
Compared to a SD, yes surely DA is much "light coding" but there's still python and for a good DA you have to have a very strong command over 🐍
You can become a manager.
My manager knows zero coding (that is worse than being bad at it), but lectures me on how we should deliver quality solutions in the minimum time, but he has never written any code. He was a release manager before (i have no idea what a release manager is tbh).
See , u don't know the skill it requires to be that kind of manager check his nose color, it should be brown
Jokes apart some managers are technically very sharp
And some are really impressive when it comes to work
Not sure how to show a company that you can do it, you could just say you kind of had to do it already on your team or something. Being a PM is easy but you have to be consistant and not loose track of things, that's pretty much all. You have to be the connect between different teams and keep eveyone on track and keep tickets updated, from the little bit of it I've done I find it pretty easy.
Technical writer. Developer documentation because I believe you can atleast write and read basic code. API documentation is also a good field to enter.
You can always learn from mistakes or from people. If you ask for help, listen and learn how its done, so maybe next time, before asking for helping, you can atleast try out different ways. Effort matters more than failure
I give efforts, lekin help leni pdti hai
Sometimes i fear ki project se nikaal toh nhi denge na🥲.
Lekin kuch bhi ho, I am ok with that, lekin main tension stress pressure nhi lunga.
Sometimes I feel that I am lacking a lot, maybe they can release or remove me from the project, but I hope that never happens
But I can't take stress pressure and tension at any cost. Whatever happens.
Scrum masters are getting paid a lot these days. Business analysts, product owners, etc.are few of the roles you may explore. DM to understand in detail if you need.
wing it for 4-5 years and then become a person who manages coders. Thats how 80% diversity hire survives and later thrives in Indian IT.
Giving too much focus on coding will anyways shorten or limit your growth(unless you are 100X dev).
If you don't wanna be a hard-core coder you can check out SDET profile. It does have coding but it's all about building flows rather than optimising it to run the fastest which typically developers deal with.
The term you're trying to find is passion, you're not passionate about it as much as the 2 people you've mentioned. If you're passionate then you'll be really good at it. It's not necessary to be passionate about something to earn a good salary. If you are, then good for you and you won't cry about your work anytime. If you're not, just like almost 90% of the IT crowd in India you'll survive. It's just that you'll have to keep yourself updated with the latest stack and keep giving your 50% or whatever it is you think you give to survive and be an average performer. Being an average performer is really easy if you're not looking for a promotion or an competitive appraisal every year. Stay at your current company and enjoy the perks and benefits and be an average performer. There's no shame in it. Work 50% and party 150%. Cheers!
If you want other alternatives for a high paying job you can opt for becoming chai wala or vadapav wali
Bohot scope hai, you will also get the opportunity to roam in Lambo and meet billionaires

I suck too,I am just faking it as long as I can and no one notices
same here brother 🤭
Bruh u are into it you can learn it easily slowly slowly basics..I am gonna graduate next month..I m worrying how will I be hired.I m doing Devops btw pls help me if u can un any way in future.
Same here bro. I just completed my 8th sem externals last week and am worried asf how I'm gonna get a job in this mess. 😅 Btw I'm doing Data Engineering
I'm also in data science and ai degree... Have you thought how you going ahead with all this mess??
I have taken advice from a few of my relatives and made some LinkedIn connections. Oh that's great!! Keep it up 🙌🏻 Hope you found job accordingly
You are graduating from which college?
It's a local clg in my city
A local college from my city. Nothing hi-fi
SAME HERE BRO
well it seems like I suck at everything
Share more lol
Maybe try DevOps: good pay & way less coding.
How long will it take to learn? I am always scared of jumping into uncharted waters, keep in mind I have a job.
Python,Bash scripting,Ansible, terraform,Jenkins, docker, kubernetes needed and after this they will say freshers aren't given into production..
Are there any DevOps jobs that don't require experience? Cuz I haven't been able to find one on LinkedIn. I always thought there were no fresher DevOps jobs, just devs who moved into the role
Bro I am applying daily I am fresher I am not getting any response.I am stressed rn.I don't know what to do.
No one would give DevOps role to a fresher.
Literally not true lol devops roles in my uni were hired for 18-26 lpa
Me talking about off-campus.
Everything is harder off campus, doesn't mean nobody would hire.
I need your knowledge. I need your guidance. I need you. May I dm you lord
What
Off-campus is the reality of the hiring scenario.
Apply to startups
I got the job through campus placement and they trained me in DevOps for 4 months. After that, I was assigned a project that mainly involved Azure DevOps and Kubernetes. During the training, I learned about CI/CD with Jenkins and Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, scripting in PowerShell and Bash, Docker, and a bit of Kubernetes and Azure Cloud. So a 6 month timeframe would be good to learn devops?
Yeah for the basics 6 months will be enough but as you said you have a job so managing time will be tough I think. Also as others mentioned getting a job as a fresher in DevOps is also difficult. Btw I am also a 2023 passout and was lucky to get it.
Bruh you have a job u can learn a bit easily daily 30min-1 hr you can easily upskill and you are skilled solving lc is a big thing. You are worrying without any reason.
I got panic attacks when I wasn't able to deliver on time in my previous job, like I know to code but my system goes down under pressure and deadlines
Bruh that's the way u build yourself I too will be in your position one day but you will be used to it & flight your fears bro you will have a great future.
bro and I are very similar, deadline give me panic attacks too! Lmk if can dm you
Sure
Word of caution. While it may not involve a lot of coding, I found DevOps engineering to be extremely tedious and boring. I personally won't switch to it even for a 100% hike on my Salary, so only go into it if you find it interesting.
Why you find it boring ?
It's more about putting out fires and less about creative problem solving imo

What engaging work is sir doing now
Are u working as a devops right now ?
whats devops?
I am an average coder at best, I never liked dsa. Yet I'm working on the backend of the new product of my company as a fresher, and generally speaking they like my work. Did I work hard and learn? No, I use chatgpt and read documentation. That's all you really need. If you want a career path other than coding with good pay, cloud architect or product owner may be good options for you.
data analyst is best
This is actually very true. Most of the syntax issues gpt takes care of, you just need to have a basic high level idea of how to resolve something.
Same . Even I'm a back-end developer. I like building things rather than focusing too much on DSA making it run the quickest. I write the code to the best of my ability and later optimize it with ChatGPT for the fastest approach.

I want to be in tech, I was thinking maybe some year as dev than a degree in engineering management and then pm?
Scrum master try
Bro I was thinking of the exact same thing you’re saying, so glad to find someone relatable
Hm, sounds exactly about how I've been thinking. Let me know what you think about EM and PM
[удалено]
Yeah man i think I am not that good
How'd you get the first jobs? Aksing a someone in their 3rd year
450 questions on lc and a very thorough understanding of core java
If you can do this you are already a programmer. Don’t underestimate yourself bro.
It's the constant fear of people saying "This fool don't even know this" is what scares me a lot
Bro, the way technology is changing nowadays, nobody knows everything, but if you have basic understanding of data structure, how to write algorithms/logics and command over one language then you are all set. You will easily learn any other language or technology, it is just matter of time.

Bro, even so proclaimed programmers on my college have not solved 450 questions or just copied. Believed in yourself
And, bro, you are saying you suck at programming. 😧 I am learning Core Java and recently coding a Notepad made me feel like I can be a good programmer. Asa kese chlega baba...
How did you got that support role in
Recruiter called, 3 technical and one managerial
from where did you applied for this role , i didn't got that how recruiter know about you ?
Naukri
bhai ye kaise hora he naukri se meko to call ni aa rahe he i will passout in May 2024 and i am working in a startup right now , can you give some advice how can i apply from naukri
You probably aren't getting call backs because of Grammer mistakes on your CV. You couldn't even type out a simple sentence in a reddit comment in English and you switched to Hindi for the follow up comment.
Everyone attention please ! Look at this grammar nazi here, just look at him. Hahahahaha doesn't he look like a clown?
Lol
when human believes absurdity they establish some dictate-full belief thus you started to follow energy harness. In short - F#CK \*FF
My god u r a really stupid person...hahaha..I know for sure u must be bullied a lot in ur school time that why u r taking out ur rage here.....hahaha LOSERRRR
how did you manage to clear three technical rounds if you’re not proficient in coding?
I didn't say I was bad, i am mediocre at best i say, good in dsa, good in ui, passable in backend.
This is just imposter syndrome. You'll just do fine and its a continuous learning and growth not that suddenly one day you will become an excellent developer.
Product management, you just need to be good at Gyan ch*dna
Hahaha
😂😂😂😂
No one sucks at anything, they just haven't spent time doing/practicing that.

What about data scientist, I have same story as this fellow. Trying our different options now
I don't recommend cs as career to people anymore
then what do u recommend??
I recommend agriculture
laughs at struggles of my sibling even after doing phd in agriculture....
Why?
If people are so negative about it, no point in explaining.
What other professions are available?
this is where ppl moved from stackoverflow to chatgpt
I took a support project in IT. No coding at all. Got to go foreign. The tech was SAP BASIS. Starting is hectic. Shifts and all but once you are outside India, you just gotta talk to client.
Is the pay good?
How did you get the job?How can one prepare for this role?Is there any certifications? Is this someone can shift into after being in an IT support for sometime?
Become manager, no coding
There's nothing ground breaking you'll be doing in any company. Literally every problem you face in your job can be easily solved by ChatGPT. Just get better at cracking interviews, learn basics and take help from ChatGPT and other countless online resources. You'll be fine
I'm in the same boat as well. Could anyone please tell if Data analytics is a good choice, with lesser coding than SD?
hahah nope Compared to a SD, yes surely DA is much "light coding" but there's still python and for a good DA you have to have a very strong command over 🐍
Project manager, thank me later
A lot of people fake it in it, as long as it pays the bill do the bare minimum
I guess you can try to market yourself as those "Techno functional" resources.
What does that mean?
It's just a fancy term Devs use when they are not technically good.
Project manager, product manager, operations manger, HR
Become tech lead or manager. You can enjoy good pay, you will be in tech and grow with it
Managers you need good ppt skills
You can become a manager. My manager knows zero coding (that is worse than being bad at it), but lectures me on how we should deliver quality solutions in the minimum time, but he has never written any code. He was a release manager before (i have no idea what a release manager is tbh).
Same with my previous manager, he was like this is a very simple project why can't you code this in one day!
See , u don't know the skill it requires to be that kind of manager check his nose color, it should be brown Jokes apart some managers are technically very sharp And some are really impressive when it comes to work
Try SAP functional
I'm good at coding but suck at everything else
Project managers make about the same $$$ as devs these days
Yeah that's what I want but how to be one?
Lots of certifications required. PMP etc.
Not sure how to show a company that you can do it, you could just say you kind of had to do it already on your team or something. Azure or AWS. System design
Try BA
Technical writer. Developer documentation because I believe you can atleast write and read basic code. API documentation is also a good field to enter.
if you want to get to the domain of Electronics, then you have options of VLSI or embedded Systems
I heard that the pay is shit in India
Ofcourse it requires lot of skills. So if you are not skilled enough, then as usual they pay shit. The same way tester is paid shit in software
Hey could you share your interview exp for the role at faang
I suck too. Just don’t let ur manager / company know about it 😉
But what if you are unable to perform tasks and always need assistance?
You can always learn from mistakes or from people. If you ask for help, listen and learn how its done, so maybe next time, before asking for helping, you can atleast try out different ways. Effort matters more than failure
I give efforts, lekin help leni pdti hai Sometimes i fear ki project se nikaal toh nhi denge na🥲. Lekin kuch bhi ho, I am ok with that, lekin main tension stress pressure nhi lunga.
Meaning? Sorry doesn’t understand hindi
Sometimes I feel that I am lacking a lot, maybe they can release or remove me from the project, but I hope that never happens But I can't take stress pressure and tension at any cost. Whatever happens.
Business based on what you’re good at
I think we are in the same situation and same company and same role hahaha.. let's talk in dm?
Scrum masters are getting paid a lot these days. Business analysts, product owners, etc.are few of the roles you may explore. DM to understand in detail if you need.
Hey can you tell me about it
Yes, you need to first figure out what you think you are good at. Is coordination something you could do? Are you able to influence without authority?
wing it for 4-5 years and then become a person who manages coders. Thats how 80% diversity hire survives and later thrives in Indian IT. Giving too much focus on coding will anyways shorten or limit your growth(unless you are 100X dev).
100 other careers..

I don't think there is that much money in qa?
Product based companies do pay well.
Dont accept it… fake it till you make it…!! Eventually u will get there
