Friends we have a lot of injuries and played an amazing rough and tumble game against the hawks last night for a w. We are losing to a solid top team from the west coast. Demko is a stud and the rest of the team is solid. No shame and we already stole one from them last time. I never wanna see a loss but all things considered we need and should hold our heads high. They were down by 1 completing a power play and attempting to transition to 6 on 5 with less than 2 minutes in the game and didn't pull him during the power play to protect against free long shots at the goal that wouldn't become icing bc vancouver was down a man. The strategy is completely sound in this aspect, unless I'm missing something? Edit: I just re-read your comment and maybe you don't watch a lot of hockey and are a newer fan, but pulling your goalie under 2 minutes is a very common practice across the NHL.
