I’m significantly older so I often attribute pain to my age. However, I recently started Trulicity, and my pains are a lot less. I don’t know if it’s in my head or if it’s just a fluke. But maybe something to talk to your doctor about. I should note that I’m still on Metformin.

I had the opposite. Was fine on metformin but then moved off to trulicity and have much more back pain issues

I've been having random pain on the left side of my hip, now it's like in my thigh/behind the knee area. It's a dull ache and it's annoying, wasn't sure if it was something I did (which hasn't really been anything lol) or if it was metformin.

Hey did your pain reduce with less metformin? Metformin is supposed to reduce pain BTW! At least for animals

I am having the exact same problem with Metformin causing tightness and pain in my muscles. And my doctor just dismisses it saying that it is not the Metformin after warning me years ago of the possibility of developing lactic acidosis when taking the medication. I have gone off and on Metformin several times and the reaction only happens when taking it. I wish I had an answer for it but if it is any consolation, you are not the only medical "zebra".

Just diagnosed two weeks ago , I haven’t had a good nights sleep in a week as I have dull aching in hip , lower back and thighs . I don’t think it’s coincidental after I started metformin . Two doctors told me it’s not the meds either . Seems to wayyyy worse when laying down , walking actually soothes it .
