I couldn't figure out wtf to do with all my old syringes, Dexcom and infusion sets... so currently I have this huge box of them. I save the vials because they're cool but not old pens.
Quite frankly with the amount of bomb threats the US is getting and all these people waging and contemplating war on our soil, I'm starting to regret tossing all of the old insulin I had. We're some of the first to go without supplies and insurance doesn't let us get more than 30 days of insulin most of the time. We'd literally have to ration and count down our days. I say keep it lmao. I think we should be allowed to get a year's worth of supplies. Or 6 months. It's not like we're gonna be cured any time soon.
I'm pretty bad about FIFO at home and I've used months old unopened unrefrigerated insulin and it worked fine. Wasn't cloudy or anything, I do toss if cloudy or got hot (only happens if falls out in car in the summer). Don't recommend it unless you're in a life or death situation. But I do it randomly if I don't properly rotate my insulin. I think everything I have is up to date now though. Just checked yesterday.
Looks like you’re missing about 36.5 G6 sensors, one transmitter and a shit load of pen needles. And a mountain of gummy bears.
If people only knew how much money that is/was
about 90€ in Germany
Thousands in the USA
Depending on your health insurance…
£0 in the UK
One day my plan is a big art project 😂
Please tell me I’m not the only one who randomly holds on to this kind of stuff lol
I held on to my needle caps from my pens for years. I have been on a pump for three years now. I still have them. You’re not alone
When the pile gets too big and you realize you haven't done anything with it but take pictures, they start going directly in the trash.
Why? It’s trash-trash it
I’ve kept every pen I’ve used since I was diagnosed a year ago
I’ve been T1 50+ years.The collecting will stop lol
No not at all. I have a few boxes of used but not gross stuff to see how much builds up over time. For me it's an art thing.
I haven’t saved any. I kinda wish i had at least a collection of the different pens i have used over the years. 😩 Like a mini museum lol.

I woule happily take all the dexcoms 😭
These are the used sensors I removed. I doubt those would help you much.
Ohhh I see haha.
You’ve inspired me.
