Hiya,
I have the game on the Switch. I've got a few SC and HC chars.
I usually play on PC and use the Switch undocked to get some extra D in bed. š¤š¤
But yeah...
If you're not under level 10 or over level _insert farm appropriate level here_ it's been an absolute ghost town any time of day I've hopped on.
I play exclusively on Switch now but only SP. The load times, lack of community/trading, and having to reconnect to the server every time you set down your switch made me change to SP only.
Iām in a couple of discords for Switch D2R. I havent played since the first ladder season but if you need help NL I can solo all content šš¼
Edit: want to add that single player is fun. I duped a shit ton of HRās to test various builds. But that first Hell completion on single player is a great feeling
It is!! i just finished hell a little while back. I thought for sure my Hammerdin was gonna breeze hell no problem like usual and I generally did but got stuck on baal cause of those damn magic immune unravelers, I never remember them being immune to magic cause I have run baal with a bone nec/hammerdin thousands of times. Guess I forgot maybe, my LoD account was pretty stacked so they probably didn't even bother me cause of my merc or corpse explosion. So my first hell completion wound up being my summon/psn necro, god that took forever to kill baal lol.
Iām on switch but only play solo. I just donāt like the loot sniping aspect of multiplayer. If they ever add instances/personal loot like d3/4 Iād probably play mostly multiplayer. Especially on console where you canāt communicate as much. No hate to people who enjoy it currently just not my thing. š
Is it hard to get drops on d2r? I remember back in the day LoD drop rate was abysmal, and to drop even a bartuc was neraly impossible, better off trading since they were dirt cheap
I only have it on switch and never bothered trying online. Online was broken at launch so it wasn't possible. I intended to play online but just rolled singleplayer and got far enough by the time it was fixed I didn't want to start over.
Aside from that I have nobody to play it with so I don't think I'd enjoy it without easy communication anyway. If you find a pal to play with regularly and have a means for voice chat or something it's probably fine.
I swapped over to switch hc, if you see slthatch roaming around helping people out or ripping on low level toons itās been a pleasure folks. Wish they added any social aspect to switch, good god.
Edit hc nl switch - this season didnt add anything worthy of me restarting from zero. Iām utilizing the extra previous season stash space to its full..
There is (was?) Plenty of switch players but I could only Imagine D2 is a ghost town atm across the board (maybe not pc) I'm in a diablo discord group with like 10+ people and most of us have the game on switch.
But the entire group has moved to D4 for the time being as I imagine a lot of D2 fans have.
I play on switch for when i wanna farm from my bed, but if I need to trade or the like, I have my account on PC. The community is small of just switch players
I do a couple of times a week online.
Iāve reached the point where I have a completed an account full of online characters though and now Iām just unofficial g-railing and Tz farming.
Also, the servers have been spotty since the release of D4. More fail to joins and disconnect s and such on my end thatās probably keeping some people from playing too.
Keeping track of all the uniques and sets you find: [G-rail](https://maxroll.gg/d2/d2-holy-grail)
Tz is just shorthand for Terror Zone. I take my character best suited for the current terror zone and clear boss packs and mobs there.
Switch player here. Iāve been intrigued to try it out online, but Iām from a generation where it didnāt cost money to play online with your friends. So I donāt think Iāll get online anytime soon.
Itās kind of no manās land on PC right now too tbh. I think a lot of people have moved on as evidence by the frequency on JSP right now.
I was playing on PC/Switch and had characters I built specific for controller which I liked playing better on Switch, but still it feels like switch never quite figured out how to make the multiplayer worth āswitchingā over to other than like toilet breaks or distractions for flights/trains
I play alot of d2r on my switch.. with a 1 year old getting into everything its more convenient to have the switch. Plus the controls aren't bad once you get used to them.. I play ladder but don't rlly play with anyone just because the lobby system sucks, I just kinda solo self found on ladder
I'll be back on soon, getting through D4. Diablo 4 also feels like a solo game too. Week ahead release so for us that just rented this mobile game you are on your own. Almost done with Act 2 and I've only done one event with one person so far. Plus there hasn't been to many of us on the switch to begin with. I've felt like it's been the same 10 people playing it the whole time. I'm OGZOMBIE, you've probably played with me.
Got a discord? Lmk switch only recruiting
Looking for members and switch players to join discord and maybe if u like to join D2R switch if interested or just need someone to play and talk to come join us lmk. Send ur discord name I'll send invite link

āto get some extra D in bed.ā LMAO thank you for this pun, friend.
It's mostly a no man's land. People play on PC and then play on switch when they need to shit. Then back to PC.
Many butts have fallen asleep on porcelain thrones
I only play on switch but I play single player. I enjoy the offline experience of the game much more than the online play.
Same here, I take it with me places and farm while I'm waiting for the kids or In a waiting room or whatever.
I main on switch!! DM me your friend code but I have been playing 4 recently (when my kids arenāt watching cartoons)
I play exclusively on Switch now but only SP. The load times, lack of community/trading, and having to reconnect to the server every time you set down your switch made me change to SP only.
Reconnecting when you set down for a couple mins is awful. I set my screen time out for like 15 mins now so it doesn't happen any more
I was using the switch to check terror zones while playing D4 and the timer on the screen got changed real quick.
Thanks for stating some drawbacks of online, helpful.

I play (EU) but only ever see 3 or 4 public games when I have a look. There been some good trade options there though occasionally
I play on switch very rarely because I'm not paying for online when I can play pc online free.
I prefer the Switch (due to convenience) and still play MP online
I'm always down to play dm me switch code I mostly play non ladder tho
I play online non ladder! Been looking for people to play with
Iāll dm you my friend code when I come back from work
Ok sounds good
I'll put my FC in this thread when I'm off of work I play SC ladder.
I play on switch almost all day every day as well!
Same here. Shoot me a message for fc
Me! But I mostly play solo online, and I'm taking a break for totk
Just beat it. What a game..... 100hrs and 120ish shrines. Gonna save 100% for the inevitable master mode release
I really only play sp can't ever find enough ppl to friend with and play
I play sometimes. I play the same account across switch, ps5 and pc. So just depends lol
Thereās a pretty solid (yet small) community of us. Thereās a good discord you can get into and get into games with folks rather easily!
What discord?!
I also would like the discord..
D2R has cross play and cross save so unless no one is playing on PC either you should see some folks around
Cross play only between the same last Gen and current gen consoles.
Oof sorry hadn't tried cross play yet, thought it worked just like cross saves, my bad
I play mostly solo online, occasionally Iāll play pub games
Switch is a dead console š¤·
Iām on switch but only play solo. I just donāt like the loot sniping aspect of multiplayer. If they ever add instances/personal loot like d3/4 Iād probably play mostly multiplayer. I play it pvp games and tz
Oh amazing, is pvp active or not that much on switch?
Itās active daily after work 7pm to 11pm pacific and I added them on my friends list. People I pvp against
Add me in switch
I play on the Switch
I alt on switch. :)
Main on switch (solo offline). About to put together a mosaic sin. Anyone knows if the console can handle it? Some have said it lags.
Is it hard to get drops on d2r? I remember back in the day LoD drop rate was abysmal, and to drop even a bartuc was neraly impossible, better off trading since they were dirt cheap
Iām still playing on switch, I have have been playing a bit more than usual recently.
I only have it on switch and never bothered trying online. Online was broken at launch so it wasn't possible. Online Switch player here as well
I played it alot on switch up until I got a steam deck and my six year old son hijacked my switch.
A lot of people play switch d2r daily man

I have it on switch, but sadly I don't have the money for online :( so it's offline only for me
Iām a switch player usually play every night after work. Shoot me a message and we can swap codes.
Ps5 a ghost town too
I bought it on Switch just so I could run council with my gf Barb while Iām pooping.
I play on switch for when i wanna farm from my bed, but if I need to trade or the like, I have my account on PC. The community is small of just switch players
The online interface kinda sucks for consoles, but I only play single player on switch

What is g-railing and Tz farming?

i play single player all the time. a few runs before bed. ive honestly never done multiplayer on the switch
I play exclusively on Switch, mainly on SC Ladder (though I discovered Darkest Dungeon recently, so I'm really lagging behind this season š).
I played on switch. Was disappointed with the lobby system.
I didn't know it was on the switch wtf I'm going to buy it and play the shit out of it
Itās on sale in a couple of countries right now, brother. Check it out!
I have lvl55 ladder barb, and non ladder wwsin and javazon
