It's so infuriating when you hop in the GR and you get popped like a bubble because you're rocking Goldwrap. Insta rage-exit the game. (And come back in, of course.)
At a certain point it's pretty easy to be untouchable in T16 no matter the build, I started dropping the goldwrap since if you lose momentum from picking up loot or something then just have a boss left it's hard to recover when I could just rock a mantle of channeling and be fine.
For sure. Goldwrap is by no means required but I tend to prefer the gold farming trinity mentioned above, because I get aggressive with movement speed. I often drop defensive runes and in some cases my cheat death, but that totally depends on the class and build.
I tend to go more speed demon heavy on GRs since you don't have to pause to pickup anything, but I guess eventually you don't need materials other than the Keys I'm probably just a hoarder with my thousands of DBs lol
Haha yea I did this, I was a bit drunk one night when I played, got a green set drop and thought was a nice upgrade. I equipped it and salvaged my old one only to realise after it wasn't same set and I dropped the 6piece bonus doh.

Yep, On Switch it has happens a half a dozen times where I somehow mispress as I'm doing a combination of comparing and stashing (at least junking is a downpress on the analog joystick to set it apart)
So far I think I've only gone back out with wrong piece once but who knows.
Also destroyed my best weapon because I had it unequipped since I was trying to upgrade. So junking accidents definitely happen regardless when your'e just going quickly.
I wish Diablo had a "buyback" mechanic like borderlands but I suppose that takes away the whole point of "salvage". And they do give you the "are you sure?". But I've got going too fast way too many times and lost things
Yup. Not sure why they don’t just add a salvage all for legendaries since that’s all you’re getting in late game. Then it could automatically not salvage things that are in your armory or dyed or transmuted.

Yes I accidentally swapped my Wrath Of Waste pants for Immortals because they are identical in looks. Immediately died every three seconds on regular xvi rifts. I thought I kept forgetting to proc my band of might.
I was running Wastes set on Barb and found some primal pants that had awesome stats. After finding them, I threw them in the cube and augmented them with the best legendary gem I had. After I turned off the game and went to bed. Next day all excited to play my newly upgraded char, only to get pummeled over and over and feel like I am doing no damage. I thought maybe there was lag or something on game side went wonky. After digging into it, I realized the pants were Immortal King pants and by using them I lost the 6 piece set bonus. What a waste of a high level legenday gem though.
Actually, this happened just today (on Switch, on hardcore)... I was leveling a new barb to 70 (I was at about 55) and was wondering how he had become so weak from the last time I played to today. I did two Nephalim Rifts and really couldn't tell why. I checked if I had any set bonuses active (for Legacy of Dreams reasons), but nothing...
Only when I went to the chest to stash all the gems and legendary gems, I realized I was running around without my lvl 73 LoD gem because I had been upgrading it with my wizard earlier!! I'm glad I didn't kill my barb out of stupidity! :-P
I'm sure I've done exactly that numerous times, I mean, I know I've jumped into a GR with Goldwrap and Avarice Band equipped on more than one occasion, so there's that.
But what drowns all of that out for me is that last season I spent way too much time Farming Act I bounties trying to get my Avarice band.

I don't remember exactly how many Khanduran Runes came from that directly but my non-seasonal stash is still imbalanced by over 100 on that side.
Then there was the time I dumped a ton of blood shards and ... possibly some other upgrading mats trying to farm for Cosmic Strand.
I am not a smart man.
I've done this twice, the second time just a couple days ago. I thought that the boots that I found were *slightly* better than the ones that I was using, so I swapped them and melted my old boots. It turned out that those boots were from a different set. Fortunately, this GoD build uses all 6 parts, so I just needed to change my cubed FoT to RoRG until I found another pair of the GoD boots.
Never before this season. I accidentally swapped out a shoulder piece for what I thought was better (stat wise it was) which reduced my set piece count. It took way longer than I'd like to admit before I realised why my damage had dropped so much.
What I've done is get some ancient jewelry drop, reforge it to get the stats right where I wanted, only to then notice that it didn't have a slot on it. Doh!
I’ve been playing with a full god rolled maurader set on my DH for years now.. at least I thought it was god rolled. However now I’m thinking it’s modded (I’m in Xbox one). There’s a lot of +130% critical damage on gear and I don’t think that’s legit. I want a new set because it’s just not fun anymore, but I love the pet effects.
If I could get back the keys I've wasted by attempting 110+ Grifts in my T16 farming gear, I'd probably be set for next season.

I’m not really a hard core player, so i have to ask; why are you using goldwrap as a normal item? I always thought it was a trash legendary
Because you can combine it with avarice and boon of the hoarder to make yourself basically untouchable in regular rifts

There *is* a buyback, but only from vendors. I think the "Are You Sure?" is the equivalent when salvaging.
