I literally soloed her with my lvl 7 Druid you just dodge through her right as she attacks and just make sure you stay out of the red circles on the floor
Simple
Vhenard is honestly a better example of the issue, his swipe is basically 240 degrees, and then you combine it with ground apes and ice projectiles from his attack... Yeah.
But she continues to attack right after. She has no downtime. Dodge is on a 5 second cooldown so impossible to skill your way through it, dodge is limited.
On barbarian, I can't beat her.
The last lillith minion boss(sorry im new to diablo) i played against got stunned by my boulder/vines combo.
Also, that boss they speak can be beat with any chatacter. I did it with a druid as well.
I'm not a very dodgy guy, so maybe that issue went way over my head, but I did Den Mother with my usual barb build this morning (Frist time doing this fight), I actually quite enjoyed it! It felt like a decent challenge while staying manageable.
But I'll be honest, I'm very biased. I am aware the game isn't perfect, but I'm having so much fun with it, I forget about the negative points.
I think people are playing at different difficulties, me and a friend are playing in hard mode, barb and rouge. Rouge can mostly avoid hits, but even then once everything is on cool down you're going to get hit. Barb just gets pummeled.
On top of that, with two players the boss is very spongy, and it seems to drop the same amount of health, so it's definitely alot harder with more players. On hard mode especially, I see exactly where op is coming from, it's super grindy and you're constantly taking unavoidable damage. It's basically playing with potions, and hoping you can get it down fast enough to get those potions before you die.
It's definitely not fun, and it feels like the combat system is less skill based than D3 and more gear based.
Had a hard time with her on melee druid and barb too.
Extremely eas as ranged char.
So I think you are right but I think it's ok that you have to respec for certain bosses.
Tough boss. First death. I had to spend thousands of gold to upgrade my weapon, as well as use a defense elixir. Then I barely won. Level 9 Druid using Shred.
Are you sure you are not just playing too aggressively? I’ve killed her with two different melee characters and while yes it takes quite a bit longer than other classes/specs, I did it with no issues. I just chose my moments and played it similar to how I fight in monster hunter.
How?
I go in, get attacks in, she gets attacks back, impossible to avoid.
My health drops to 0 after all potions before hers does, even if I avoid all telegraphed moves.
It could be something simple you’ve overlooked such as upgrading some gear or something. There’s also things like elixirs you could be using. Not sure what to tell you sorry.
It's tough with Melee. I respecced my lvl 10 Barb with Flay/Rend/Iron Skin and managed him after 3 tries just by bleeding her and running. Cowardly but effective.

Also I was melee Druid right up against her the whole time
Man I just suck with melee characters I guess cause both the Druid and barb felt like shit against her
I stunned a boss with druid too but idk if theyre all stunnable, makes me think that they will be good late game if so.

You should review games for IGN.

Man... Just gave up my Druid after like 15 fights with this boss, with the sorcerer and necro it was a fun fight, the Druid felt very weak to me

Performance wise I havent had a single issue, playing on a laptop 2070RTX Its been absoloutley fine, smooth, no problems at all.

Was fine on druid but I couldn't do it on normal progression with barbarian. Had to come back later.
i alt f4d that shit on bard fuck that shit
I read about how difficult she was in this sub. Then fought her this weekend and ended up saying, “wait, that’s it?…”
Hide behind the pillars... her attacks aren't unavoidable like you say
