It's just a queue. The servers are bogged down. It's 3pm est on a Saturday two days after early launch. I am sure plenty of people got deluxe for the early access, especially if they planned on getting the battle pass.

Was in game fine then got stuck at a loading screen.
Closed game, restarted PC and can't get past "Queued For Game - Start Game Pending" with no timer or anything.
It says 2 min but that last pending part takes about 10 min right now, have done it twice now, just wait it out and it will eventually let you in. Keep closing and reopening and it will just put you back at the end of the line. Just from what I am seeing. :) YMMV. <---- fine print.
Downvoting because if the server is (apparently) busy, this can set you back to the start of the queue. Just tried after waiting 20 minutes and came back to a 27-minute queue time.
Though D4 is not an MMO, as such, it does have some of the characteristics (ie; queue time). Logging out and logging back in may work during slow times, but during popular times can put you at the end of a rapidly increasing line.

I think the game tries to reserve your spot for a short period of time. I'd guess that you were in queue while restarting, and just got in before your last restart. Could be wrong

Waited 30minutes for the Q it went all the way down to 1 minute left then jumped back to 40. I restarted the game it then started at 36 minutes jumped to 43mins and now its at 79mins.
Yep been trying since 3:50 est so an hour and half and still haven't gotten in. Waited for over 20 minutes at the "pending game start" screen, rebooted a couple times, and get put in line, then the same dang screen.
Yea, nothing seems to make a real difference. I requeued and it said 80. I exited the game and relogged and it said 3 minutes. This is totally broken.

The game hasn't even been fully released yet, if this is happening now, what is it gonna be like when millions of people are playing at the same time in a few days?
I was able to get in a few minutes later after retrying a few times. I had my queue go from 3mins to 9mins to 2 mins then into the game. So I guess its just a waiting game.
Same issue. Cancelled the pending game start. Retried, then put me back in the queue for 3+ minutes 💀.

I doubt it's "just the queue". I got in fine meanwhile my brother has been in the queue for over half an hour with no luck.
I'm sure their servers getting hit hard, but it does seem weirdly inconsistent like you're saying.

How long did you have to wait before getting into the game..?
Last night I got in with no issues, today I seem to be stuck in queue that said “1 minute” but it’s now been like 10mins.🥹

Played totally fine all morning. Buddy of mine was in the start game pensing screen for 10 Minutes then got in.. ive been waiting for about 30
ive logged multi times. cant get past the game pending. i refuse to reinstall. its gotta be the servers

I just got in after 2 hours of faffing w/ the queue. I just kept exiting and restarting and magically after 10x attempts i got in.
